Prince Phillip Shoots Fox 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Britain's Prince
Philip is embroiled in an animal cruelty scandal after an injured fox was left to die in agony during a hunt lead by the royal. Animal rights groups have called on the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) to investigating the incident which occurred at Sandringham estate, Queen Elizabeth's Norfolk retreat, on Saturday. Witnesses claim members of the eight-men pheasant hunting party shot the animal twice, leaving it writhing in agony for a few minutes, before clubbing it over the head and stomping on it to "finish it off."
I've finally drawn a cartoon with a horse in it! Mrs Clang is a horse nut, I'm sure she'll be telling where I've gone wrong with the withers, fenders mud flaps or whatever. I know which end the food goes in. Read more:Phillip
We don't need Windows Vista 1970-01-01 00:59:59 So WindowsVista
is finally here. Wow. Big Wow. Nope, I can't get excited. As I see it, Vista (or more precisely Microsoft) needs us, more than we need it. Pleased to see that Windows XP will be supported until 2011. My laptop will have died by then.
Hot Laptop. 1970-01-01 00:59:59 This cartoon evolved while I was tweaking it in Photoshop. The original version was going to be about the redskins using Windows Messenger, instead of smoke signals - but that idea was scrapped, after I realised it wasn't that funny. Kind of important to be funny with these drawings.

Zookoda Email Newsletter 1970-01-01 00:59:59
Just a quick update for those of you who subscribe to the newsletter. I seem to be unable to access Zookoda, and so cannot send out the newsletter. I don't know if this is because Zookoda has died, been sold, or is just having a temporary server trouble.
I cannot find any information on the web about this. I am now researching an alternative newsletter platform, however I do not have the email list that was stored at Zookoda, so if I can access that - I shall need you all to re-subscribe to the new service (when I eventually find one).

New Email Subscription Service 1970-01-01 00:59:59 I've found a new service to deliver the email newsletter. Unfortunately, you will all have to subscribe to this new service, as I cannot access the email list. Sorry about that.

Investment or home? 1970-01-01 00:59:59 I.flickr-photo { border: solid 2px #000000; }.flickr-yourcomment { }.flickr-frame { text-align: left; padding: 3px; }.flickr-caption { font-size: 0.8em; margin-top: 0px; }
clangnuts investment, originally uploaded by clangnuts.
Inspired by a discussion on GHPC (the best HPC forum out there), Oliver James new book Afluenza:
"The conversion of something as fundamental as your home into an investment is emblematic of the blurring of the personal and the professional that happens to Marketing Characters in Marketing Societies. This extends into almost every aspect of our lives, from the straightforward commodities we buy to the shape of our very bodies."

Bird Flu hits Norfolk Turkey farmer, Bernard Matthews. Government say that there's no reason to panic. TV reports that if it spreads, then the Government would discourage travel between major Cites. Looks like British Rail may be revived in the event of a national crisis.

A Mars a day, helps you... 1970-01-01 00:59:59 The company behind Mars bars have announced they will no longer be targeting adverts at children under 12. Gone will be the adverts from childrens television programmes, that will likely be watched by the 12 year olds and younger. New government rules come into force soon, which are aimed at restricting all adverts for junk foods which will be targeted at children, or popular shows that are watched by children. I wonder if Cadbury's will be able to still sponser Coronation Street?
Email subscriptions 1970-01-01 00:59:59 I have stopped using Feedblitz for the email newsletter, as I didn't realise this could only deliver daily emails, which I know some of you found annoying. I have reverted back to Zookoda, as I have full control over when these emails are sent out, and it appears to be working ok now.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused. I'll give it a few days before I send out the regular email, your are all used to getting (with maybe some interesting rough sketches that won't appear here). There's an incentive to subscribe, if ever there was one.

Accident reporting... 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Today's cartoon isn't as colourful as usual. There is a reason for this. I've started to send my cartoons off to magazines, and the usual requirement is for simple line drawings to enable the cartoon to reproduce right. Fancy colours and shading, doesn't always look so good, when it's reduced to a small cartoon in a B&W magazine. I'm also experimenting with using Imageshack to host my cartoons.
Telly Addict 1970-01-01 00:59:59 This cartoon is more or less completely raw. Apart from the lettering, done in Photoshop, it's pretty much how I drew it. I think it looks OK, like this. The other good thing about doing cartoons like this, is that I can draw in a more traditional way, with the cross hatching I like to do. Also makes it easier to send to print publications in the future. This one should reproduce well at a small size.
