Summer surge of quality dance tunes is here!! 2007-04-07 16:07:46 Yes, its true.. listening to Pete Tong on Radio 1 last night proved this point. There a new songs from loads of the big names including David Guetta, Tiesto, Bob Sinclar, Dragonette, Fragmente and Axwell. And boy are they good!
Last night (06/04/07), Pete Tong played a stormer of a set on his weekly show. 2 hours of pure bliss. You can listen again here. Here’s a run down of the up and coming tunes

Tiesto - ‘In The Dark’ - 9 mins
Classic new dance song by tiesto, its slightly slower than his past songs but its still a brilliant funky house tune.
Calvin Harris - ‘Girls’ - 16mins

This song is a must listen to. Its got a great vocal an awesome beat and lots of really cool mixing. Very funky summer dance song. Perfect for getting ready for a night out.

Bob sinclar covered for Pete Tong on his friday slot 7-9pm yesterday, 30th March. He was covering for Pete Tong because he was recovering from the massive Miami session.

Allien, and was quite shocked at just how many of the songs it boasts that I really liked listening to. Ok it’s not new as it came out in april of 2006 but its more than worth a listen.

; album from ministry of sound that was released on the 21st feb 2007 and its got some brilliant remixes on it.

Groove Armada Cover Pete Tong On Radio 1 2007-04-18 16:46:07 After playing back the latest Pete Tong show earlier today I came acropper a few good dance songs that featured on the show when groove armada covered for him this week while he is in Disney Land

Its a lenghty remix but even so my interest never wavered, this really is a brilliant remix by Jacques Lu Cont, but aren’t they all I don’t think I’ve heard any bad remixes from this guy.
Gwen Stefani - 4 In The Morning [Jacques Lu Cont Remix]
The main beat is subtle but changes regualrly which is nice but unusual for such a lengthy song. Its well put together and Jacques Lu Cont really knows how to mix to keep your interest in the song. Along with Gwen’s stunning singing this produces an almost harmonic electronic masterpiece.
