Computer Microchips
2008-10-19 22:27:00
I used to go to school in Ft. Pierce, Fl. I lived about an hour from there, and one morning I was running about ten minutes late for my first class of the day, in which I had a test. My teacher was a classic community college professor. Thought his class meant the world, and everything else paled in comparison. 1 minute late for a test, and he locks the door. I hopped in my jeep and took off, barr

Still home for the weekend. Expect a long update tomorrow! Keep checking back.

Home at last! It's nice to have a break from the college life. I hope I haven't sounded sad, or depressed somehow in this blog. It's not supposed to be like that. My purpose here is to shed some light on what college has become. I don't know, maybe it's been like this all along, but I'm starting to get tired of the constant drugs, sex, and parties. When does it end? Once again... I'm not trying t

Money and Banking
2008-10-16 17:35:00
So I'm sitting in my money and banking class right now thinking over things. I'm sure God has been with me since I started this blog, and I hope its a little bit encouraging to those at school, and maybe eye-opening to those that aren't. Thanks Nathan for the great comments, and congrats again on your engagement. I have class til ten tonight, then I'm making the long drive straight home so this wi

Flesh Appeared On Them And Skin Covered Them But There Was No Breath In Them
2008-10-15 21:52:00
Before the spies lay down for the night, she went up on the roof and said to them, "I know that the LORD has given this land to you and that a great fear of you has fallen on us, so that all who live in this country are melting in fear because of you. We have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to Sihon and Og, the two kings of

Regarding yesterday's, and many of my previous posts, something spoke to me today, and it hit me... If I'm not out there actively sharing my beliefs, and telling others my cure, telling them about my God, than how can I expect them to know? How can I be so judgmental of others if I haven't done anything to help them? Until I've grown bold, and shared my faith than who am I to say they're doing w

The Potter's Field
2008-10-13 22:09:00
Denying Christ isn't a joke, and I know that. I know about the people who lose their lives every day because of their faith, and I know that I should be completely unashamed of my God, so why does it seem like I back away every time my faith is brought up? The other day, maybe six of us were seated at lunch when a girl I had only recently met somehow asked me if I wanted to be a pastor. Now, this

These Waves Crash Over Me
2008-10-12 22:01:00
Do you ever have those dreams where everything is wonderful? That's how God is. When I wake up after a perfect dream... and I mean a perfect dream, one where the sun makes perfect light, and the ocean water sparkles, and the leaves are beautiful, and everything has a slightly blue tint, that's when I feel God close. But you say, "Wait, God doesn't make the world like that, he doesn't make perfect

Miami Crusin'

Miami. What it comes down to, is, am I just in this for personal gain? God... God makes me a hot ping pong player, and I sometimes feel like I'm praying just for that. Like, I'm living for God so he can do things for me, like keep me safe as I drive down the road, or help me learn for my Finance test... I think that's well and good sometimes, but what if I lived in Miami? ...I hope you can unders

Real Life

Jude: 20-23: But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you up to eternal life. Be merciful to those who doubt; snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear- hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh (NIV). Hav

Adventure

What flows from the heart is sometimes crazy. I think God has so much more control over the way things are than we even come close to realizing. Whether it's how He protects me on my drives around town every day, or the way He answers my prayers by putting just the right amount of spin on the ping pong ball. God is so great, and the way he moves the earth, and causes the sun to rise and set are ju

College...
2008-10-08 20:52:00
I guess sometimes it's just a little disappointing. Here I am at a giant university and no one thinks like I do. Well, it's just that no one seems to hold the moral philosophies I do. Ok, people here obviously have morals, but where are the believers? I mean where are the true church-camp Christians? Where are the fun-loving, good time, no crap Christians? It seems that so much of the time my beli

A Truth
2008-11-02 19:39:00
Is Jesus Christ the son of God? All my evidence points to "yes." You see, I know Jesus was the son of God, and I know He came to earth to save us. All of us. Here's a guy who comes 2000 years ago, lives a short life, and continues to influence nations today. Some doubt He even existed... Well, what proof do you need? Wake up on a Sunday morning and see everyone driving to church. Isn't that someth

Halloween
2008-10-31 22:42:00
Halloween night. I'm back home again. I was seriously going to stay at school this weekend. Seriously. Then I remembered that sexy halloween parties are not my style so I went home. So much better watching a scary movie with people you love than hanging out with drunk students for the night. I'm not against Halloween in any way, shape, or form. I think it's a good, fun holiday. It's all the partie

Drugs For Real

Quick question. For those college students who find this blog, how many students would you predict currently use drugs on your campus? Whether once a month, or day. I guess 50%. What do you think?

Atheism Funtimes
2008-10-28 09:25:00
I've been skimming the atheist blogs. What's interesting to me is how many of these atheists seem to lack moral fiber in their posts, and it makes sense. It has always been my belief that it's near impossible to have morals without God. Why are we moral? Because we, as God fearing people are trying to please our First Love whenever possible. Now, what I consider morality may be different than wha

Meeting My Match
2008-10-26 22:30:00
Sorry about the lack of posts these past few days. School started to take its toll, with my teachers laying on test after test. Thursday night Blogger stopped working, and I was only able to get in that little post on Friday when I was on my way to the tournament. I played a big ping pong tournament in Lakeland this weekend. There were 110 players from all across Florida, and they were all good.

Another Adventure
2008-10-21 22:28:00
I love small gas stations. Especially on a long trip through places you've never been before. I love meeting the people whom you know have never been 100 miles outside their home town. In their eyes you can find everything you need to know about the area you're in, and with one word from their mouths you know all about that person. I love stopping at the gas stations that make their own food. It a

Back to the Dorms
2008-10-20 22:20:00
Just got back! A late night drive has landed me back at school, and I've got a lot of work to do. Who would have thought that with four days at home I wouldn't study for my 9:30 test tomorrow, and I wouldn't do my project due at 5:30? Oops. E-mail me if you want at 4:00 AM. I'll probably be up. Tomorrow. For sure. Blog on.
