Happy Friday! 2007-09-28 10:45:00 Not much going on this week (as usual it seems, pretty dull life I guess you could say). They did come and pick up my oxygen, was quite a mess, the oxygen company saying I needed it, but charging me $400/month and was even turned over to collections cause I couldn't afford it to be honest. And my doctor telling me I didn't need it, because I have sleep apnea and oxygen doesn't help, that I would need what they call a 'cpap' machine. Well I can't get one of those until I can get a sleep study test done, but as of right now I can't find a doctor that will agree to do one, due to no insurance. I did hear from my disability application and of course I was denied. So I'm filing an appeal through my disability advocate. Soon as I can possibly get that going then I can get the sleep study test I need to get the 'cpap' machine.If you have no insurance in this country it's extremely hard to get any help. Friday once again... 2007-10-12 22:37:00 Always seems lately that I'm updating this on Friday
s. Anyhow, saw my Doctor this week, wasn't really nothing new, he did give me some Lidocaine patches to try for my back, so going to give those a try. Also discussed my disability application with him and he said he's write a letter for me again for my appeal since I was turned down, which you can read about in a previous post.So anyhow I posted about telemarketers and bill collectors a while back, but the call volume has tripled. These people are calling every day now. It's getting quite funny, having someone bill collector call one day and ask for money, then call next day demanding money, after I have already explained the situation to them. Now they ask "When can we expect payment?" Well I use the term I heard from a comedian... I reply with "Well you can always expect payment, hell you can expect payment today in fact." Which of course makes them really happy for a second and all I do is stay quiet then. They beg for credit c

The waiting game... 2007-10-23 00:24:00 Not much been going on last couple weeks, messing around with Eve Online while waiting on the new upcoming patch for Dark Age of Camelot.In more personal news, as some may know from previous posts I was denied on my application for disability, and what I call the "waiting game" has started. I've sent in my appeal after being declined for disability. Hopefully this will result in a more positive response. A note about my Dad 2007-10-31 00:58:00 Just thought I'd write it down, most will probably not care, but my Dad was admitted to the hospital due to a blockage in his neck. These problems really do run in the family it seems. Anyhow today he had surgery where they went in and reopened the artery similar to what they did to me when I had the heart attack. I called him and he is doing ok, and said he felt fine except for a sore throat, I guess from where they had the breathing tube or something. Anyhow me and pops have never really gotten along very well, but in times like this my prayers go out to him. Anyhow hate to post bad news but just thought I'd jot it down. My dad has always been a oldschool 1950's type of guy who idolized Elvis Presley and owns all of his albums/8-tracks and even an autographed picture of them together at one time.So this video is for dear ol' pops.
Happy Sunday 2007-11-04 21:04:00 Been a semi quiet week, except for Dad, but a little update he's so far doing ok. So thats good. Other than that it's been pretty much same old routine, I did file that appeal for my disability, and still waiting to hear anything from them. Another Weekend... 2007-11-11 18:27:00 As usual another weekend passes as I sit here staring at my computer screen. Been listening to a great internet radio station Eve Radio, based on the game Eve Online. Lot of great music and DJ's.Anyhow as I scour the net looking for the odd news or the weird this week I stumble across this which seems just too crazy to be real... Late Night... 2007-11-25 00:35:00 Well it's late night and couldn't sleep so thought I'd surf web and update blog at least. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and are recovering nicely. Mine was pretty decent. Had a smoked turkey given to me by family, and had dressing, cream corn, collard greens and rolls. Was very nice and ate a bit too much, but hey it's thanksgiving, the day of eating too much anyhow.Nothing much else to report on at this time, I do have my 6 month visit with my cardiologist this Monday, then my local doctor on the 7th as well as a review meeting with d.f.c.s. on the 7th as well for recertification of the little bit of help I receive. So going to be busy this coming week I guess. Then it's time to start getting ready for Christmas... I almost dread this time of year, especially this year when things are so tough...Anyhow hope everyone is having a great weekend, and hope all your leftover turkey sandwiches are good! He also shaved his mustache. When the same officer arrived at Sadlon’s house, he saw a pale outline of the just-removed facial hair on his suspect's wind-reddened face. The weekend... 2008-02-10 16:38:06 Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Just thought I'd toss an update on the blog. Not really much to update with. As far as health goes still waiting to hear from disability, in March it will make 1 year since I first applied. The red tape to go through is insane and aggravating. This April will mark 1 year since my heart attack, good news is I'm still here (so far), the bad news is having one in the first place, and the mountain of bills and bill collectors that have drove me crazy over the year.Anyhow, it's the usual same old stuff around here. Well this post turned out to be a small downer but ah well...Hope everyone is having a fun and safe weekend, and hopefully will have some new video or funky news article next post.

Blast from the past 2008-01-13 12:42:54 It's been a really slow start to the new years, I had my monthly Doctors appointment on the 7th, and got good news and bad news as usual. Good news is he has changed my monthly appointment to every other month now in part to help save on cost, $50 a visit gets tough when ya don't have it. Bad news is I still need a sleep study due to very bad sleep apnea but can't find anyone to do one due to no insurance. My disability case has now moved into 2nd phase of the appeal process and I was notified I have a new 'adjudicator' now. So crossing fingers... That will help so much if it goes through.Anyhow to change the subject onto more lighter matters, found a song I had totally forgot about but was pretty much a 1 hit wonder from the 90's.
