I changed my mine. Looks of the Week will not be a one day a week feature. It would probably be 2-3 times a week. There are just so many amazing fashionistas at Wardrobe Remix consciously yelling at me to feature here.
CityMorningBlue changed my mind. I saw this polka dot dress and boots ensemble and I was grinning from ear to ear. I mean, isn’t that gorgeous? Love the pearls too.

Friday’s Bargains : Multi and Blue

This blue lace tube-spaghetti top was originally $14.99 but it was on sale for $4.98. I found it at Goody’s. Blue is my favorite color therefore I don’t walk away from this colored tops especially when they’re on sale. I fell in lvoe with the lace detail on the top too. Perfect for Summer.
Oh how I went bananas when I saw this multi-print skirt from FOR THE REPUBLIC. I love the bold print for the Spring season. Then I saw how the origical price of $58 going down to $4.98 and well, there was no way I was walking away from it. Could you?. Another awesome find from Goody’s. I really wish ya’ll have that store where you live. It’s one of my favorite fashion store who is always having a sale. Ahhhhh.

Looks of the Week : Red Polka, Green With Boots

I have been itching to do this category but I didn’t know how I was going to search fashionistas online with their pictures. I was visiting one site but with the copyright issues I couldn’t do it. Lo and Behold, one day a dear friend of mine sent me an invite to join a group on flickr called WARDROBE REMIX, where in members get to post pictures of them wearing their stylish outfits. It was created by Tricia from BitsandBobbins. Talk about fate. So every week I will be picking looks I like from the group and post them here. At least 2 looks per week and Wednesday will be the assigned day.

This first look is from MadebyTess. As soon I saw the red polka dot top, I fell in love with it. I love how she added that belt for accent. It is casual yet chic. Guess what?, she found the blouse and belt at Salvation Army. I mean, c’mon.

This is what I wore to Church last Sunday

skirt by My Michelle that I bought 25% from AAFES, $12.99, Polka-Dot V neck top from ROSS, $9.99, over a black camisole, a pink ribbon sash tied just below the bust area, Round-Toe pumps with pink lining that I surprisingly found at Wal-Mart 3 years ago for less that $15(sorry can’t remember how much exactly). For accessories, beads bangle bracelet that was given to me as a gift by a dear friend, deep pink beads necklace from a local flea market, $1, and sterling silver dangling earrings from Wal-Mart for $2.99.
Someone came up to me after the service and said, “I like your outfit”. Awwww, shuccks .

Blue rectangle pendant necklace(JW, can’t remember how much), blue beads, $1 and blue with ruby beads bracelet, $1, for accessories. Like I said, I love blue . And I’m pretty sure the whole outfit didn’t cost me more than $60.

I’ll never be able to wear skinny jeans, unless I starve myself for 5 straight months(LOL, it’ll never happen) coz I don’t want my huge hips to all of a sudden go medieval on me for painstakingly trying to fit it in one but if I could, I’d start off with the ensemble below. It’s casual and it just makes you feel so put together that you want to say to anyone staring at your ass, “yeah buddy, drool away” .
Skinny jeans from Metro7, $19.94. The green stripes sweater is perfect for the Spring’s cool breeze. The hem kinda covers the midriff a little bit which is always a good trick. And, it’s only $11. Kitten heels pointy toe shoes adds sophistication to this look. On sale for $13. The Onyx beads necklace is a little pricey for my taste, $45 but this is just an idea of the kinds of necklace that will look good with the sweater. Navy and White polka dot wrap chiffon dress by George, $24.82. Wide patent red belt with rectangular buckle by No Boundaries, $7.84. Metro7’s faux patent leather red peep toe wedge, $13.00. The total look is $45.66. Except for earrings, I wouldn’t add any other accessories coz the polka-dot with red combo is bold enough to stand alone. But that’s just me, wear a necklace too if you want .

I found these ‘beater shirts at Wal-Mart. $4.88 each. YUMMY!. Perfect for the warm weather. As you can see, I bought 2 of ‘em. In different colors of course. I was going to pick up a pale blue one as well but I figured I have enough blue in my wardrobe so I opted not to in the end. I adore the flower details.
I’m trying to build up my “nautical” style so when I saw this navy blue stripes tunic I grabbed it too. I knwo it’s a blue one but the red and gray ones didn’t relaly appeal to me. Maybe I’ll go back and pick up the red one some other time since it’s only $5 anyway. Another bargain find from Wal-Mart.

I loved this look from Hopelesslovley when I saw it from Wardrobe Remix pool. Flower print dress which by the way is only $15, with red stripes belt and that bold color green short sleeves mini blazer is just gorgeous. None of ‘em matches but everything worked together so beautifully. Just perfect!

Unless you are a toddler ready for playtime in the nearest playground, you can not wear this blasted thing. I can’t even put together a sentence to describe how I abhor this particular item. What is ON thinking?

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and let everybody know, I HATE LEGGINGS. I think it’s for little girls. Cute toddlers. Cute babies. I am so sick and tired of seeing grown ass women(23-above) walking around with leggings under mini skirts. Skirts are for showing off your awesome legs. Why wear leggings to cover it up?. Umm to keep me warm?? Helllooo, if it’s chilly then maybe you should wear jeans instead? Why wear a skirt if it’s freaking 35 degrees outside? WHY??? If it’s Fall season, Skirts and Dresses that goes all the way just above your knees are awesome with knee-high boots. As shown here, and here. But shorts or skirts over leggings during Spring/Summer season is abominable.
