Tiger Woods is still alive 2007-04-08 00:30:36 It would have been better if Tiger Woods
made birdies in the 17th and 18th holes in the windy afternoon in Augusta but he bogeys both holes instead to make him par even in the third round of the Masters.
I thought Tiger would fight the struggles in the field when he was one over par going the the par-5 16th hole. That would be interesting!
Stuart Appleby still unrelented through the 15th hole with one under par, two under of the day. Vijay Singh had a horrible day +5 and Phil Michelson +1 struggled all day long.
Will there be a great comeback from Tiger Woods
Sunday? His own history tells us that he only won majors when he is in the last pair. With the weather a great factor and the fast greens, Tiger can rally back but it would take all of him. live scores
LeBron James takes over in the fourth quarter 2007-04-07 17:30:21 The loss of Gilbert Arenas in the Washington Wizards defeat is evident , 99-94, in the hands of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
LeBron James
made baskets when the Cavaliers needed him in the fourthquarter
while Arenas wasn’t there to do for the Wizards.
James had a poor shooting game, but he attacked the basket down the stretch and scored 14 of his 25 points in the final period to help the Cavaliers stay tied with Chicago for second place in the Central DivisionThe Wizards will be playing in the playoffs but they will not go too far without Gilbert Arenas.
It would be hard to cover a superstar whose averaging 28.4 points a game.
Denver defeats Dallas 2007-04-07 16:55:44 The Denver
Nuggets is not only all about offense. They beat the Dallas
Mavericks with defense.
Carmelo Anthony stole Dirk Nowitzki’s pass in the closing seconds and making two freethrows with nine seconds for the Nuggets 75-71 victory over the Mavericks.
Iverson was 9-for-23 for 22 points, and Anthony was 7-for-21 for 23 points, including an alley-oop dunk from Marcus Camby with just over a minute left that broke a 71-71 tie.
Nowitzki was 9-of-23 from the floor for 22 points and Jason Terry was 6-of-20 for 13 points as the Mavs shot 36 percent.
The Nuggets still hold seventh place in the Western Conference, half a game behind the LA Lakers.
The Captivating Maria Sharapova 2007-04-07 04:38:39 My idol in tennis before was a German, Steffi Graf. Then come Martina Hingis, a Swiss. How I love these girls beauty and their greatness in the game.
For some months I stopped following tennis because these two tennis players were out of the game already.
It gives me hope when a young attractive woman from Russia won the Wimbledon. At last I have the reason to watch women’s tennis again.
I got back into watching at least the Grand Slams. MariaSharapova
! She brings back the excitement in tennis like what Graf and Hingis did.
By the way, Maria Sharapova
she was the world’s highest-paid female athlete in 2006. Endorsements! Many times bigger as what Anna Kournikova was getting before.
I thought Sharapova’s win in the Wimbledon was just a fluke. I was dismayed for the drought she was in until she captured the 2006 US. Open.
Here’s an unforgettable video when she won her Wimbledon agains Serena Williams
Sharapova has won two Grand Slam singles titles. She is the r
Michael Jordan’s Top Ten Dunks 2007-04-06 21:07:21 It is worth reliving the moves especially the dunks of the greatest basketball player of all time, MichaelJordan
. His dunk against Patrick Ewing was considered the best dunk of all time in a game.
Almost all of the world admit that Jordan is the greatest player ever, but he was not the best dunker ever as argued by many. However, his dunks are spectacular that defy the law of gravity.
Michael Jordan
penetrated and jumped to the basket fearlessly. His athletic ability and guts enables him to fly beyond the shotblockers. It was like he’s dunking without them.

Zach Johnson wins Masters, Tiger falls short! 2007-04-09 01:09:22 Zach Johnson
captured the Masters
Tournament as he hurdled to the 18th hole with a par having a final score of one over par, three under of the day.
While Tiger Wood’s attempt to birdie the par five 15 hole had failed, Johnson birdied the 16th hole to increase his lead to three.
Zach Johnson stayed composed as Tiger Woods eagled the 13th hole to cutting it to two shots.
Stuart Appleby had a bad day to maintain his lead going to the final round. While Phil Michelson hadn’t eve come near of defending his title.
It was the toughest Major Tournament in years. Final Scores
Pistons: the Beast of the East 2007-04-08 23:05:20 Chauncey Billups had 14 points and 12 assists to lead the Detroit Pistons
’ 87-82 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers Sunday afternoon.
The Detroit Pistons is the team to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference with their outstanding defense. Not only defensively does the Pistons are capable but their offense is consistent as ever.
The balance scoring from different players is just hard to defend. The inclusion of Chris Webber intensifies their half court plays with Billups at the point, Richard Hamilton in the wing, Tayshawn Prince and Rasheed Wallace.
Their bench is deep with McDyess, Delfino, Murray, which will be of significance in the playoffs.
The Miami Heat I assume has the chance to disparage the Detroit Pistons. Read more:Beast
A-Rod’s grand slam as Yankees’ wins 2007-04-08 21:26:34 “I had a funny feeling it was going to come down to me somehow even with two out and nobody on … I always end up in the middle of something.”, Alex Rodriguez said.
No matter how great Alex Rodriguez in Saturday’s game as the Yankees
’ fans jumped in celebration for the walk-off grand slam enroute to a 10-7 win over Baltimore, the critics are still asking for a solid postseason game from A-Rod.
Derek Jeter was elated and gave Alex Rodriguez a shove right up the steps. And all the Yankee players were jubilant as if they had won the World Series.
The grand slam is what Rodriguez needs to boost up his confidence and to stop some negative acceptance from the Yankees’ fans.
A-Rod’s quest for the gold started in the first inning when his two-run homer off former Met Steve Trachsel produced a 2-1 lead.
The Look! 2007-04-11 02:13:38
Again my fascination for the Tour de France keeps me watching the old clips of the greatness of Lance Armstrong. I posted 11 days ago on the greatest stage of Tour de France which Armstrong prevailed in a suspenseful and dramatic ascent to Luz Ardiden.
The video above was dubbed as “The Look!” which Lance Armstrong looked at his rival Jan Ullrich just as he pedalled for an attack in the mountain.
The whole day everybody noticed that Armstrong was at the back of Ullrich and his cohorts. Phil Ligget and Paul Sherwin even calling that Armstrong had no energy and that he was always on the defensive.
At the right time Lance and his teammate Chuchu Rubiera launched a fast acceleration that Ullrich couldn’t match. Armstrong had won the mind game and the power game this day.
What is happening to the Pacers? 2007-04-11 01:11:33 I like the Indiana Pacers
’ chances in the Eastern Conference every year but this time they are 1.5 game behind the Orlando Magic in the eight place.
It is a mountain to climb and the Pacers have no control of their destiny. They need some help from other teams. That is Orlando has to drop some games.
Anyway, I just don’t like the trade with the Golden State Warriors. Giving up Al Harrington and Stephen Jackson for Mike Dunleavy and Troy Murphy. They struggled since then. They had never find their chemistry.
No matter how good Rick Carlisle as a coach, the players need time to build their chemistry in the court. And they are caught in that situation. The team’s game is catapulting but the number of games to play is decreasing, maybe not enough to catch the Magic.
The vacuum that Reggie Miller had left hasn’t been filled although many thought Peja Stojakavic was last year. And they let go of Peja which was a good move since Stojakavic didn’t play much of the
Who is afraid of the Spurs? 2007-04-10 07:53:04
NBA expersts suggest that if they were the Denver Nuggets or the Los Angeles Lakers, they would choose the Phoenix Suns as their first round opponent rather than the San Antonio Spurs
.
As I was watching the down to the wire game Monday night, it looks like neither the Lakers nor the Nuggets are scared to face the Spurs. Both teams played to win.
Carmelo Anthony scored 33 points, with three freethrows in the final nine seconds, to pull away in the standings against the Lakers, 115-111. Allen Iverson added 24 points for Denvers cause.
Kobe Bryant was more a facilatator than a scorer with 23 points, 10 assists, and five rebounds to make the game more interesting as he ignited the Lakers comeback from 13-point deficit and even took the lead 104-103 off Cook’s 3-pointer.
The Lakers and the Nuggets want to avoid the Spurs but they realized that the Warriors and Clippers are catching up on them. It is better to be in the playoffs playing against Spurs than watching the game by being Read more:afraid
The Race of the Year? 2007-04-10 04:17:01
If I started my blog earlier I should have included this event because it kept me laughing without stop. Charles Barkley was always being teased in TNT for being a 300 pounds.
One of the courtside analysts mentioned about Dick Bevetta, who was an official that day, the he would outrun Charles Barkley despite of his age.
Barkley who was in studio was challenged and the race of the year was set up. This race was held Saturday Night of the All Star break in Las Vegas.
Sidney Crosby wins scoring title at 19 2007-04-10 03:47:17 The youngest to win a scoring
title in all pro sports is SidneyCrosby
of the Pittsburg Penguins at age 19.
A 120-point season, six points ahead San Jose Sharks’ Joe Thornton as Crosby got his first Art Ross Trophy as the NHL scoring leader.
Even Mario Lemieux didn’t win a scoring title until his fourth NHL season. Crosby and also surpassing this accomplishment is his impressive team record of 47-24-11.
To be the youngest of all pro sports seems not great enough to catch the attention of the media. This week’s talks is all about Don Imus.
What if Andrew Bynum of the Los Angeles Lakers is leading the scoring in the NBA? Or let may say a 19 year old kid in the MLB is getting near of 70 homeruns? It would be a great spectacle in ESPN and all sports media.
Yes NHL has a long way to go but Sidney Crosby deserves an attention because nobody had reached this milestone before!

NBA Western Conference Playoffs Preview 2007-04-20 01:12:26 Powerhouse teams live in this conference. NBA
experts predict that whichever team wins the west will be the NBA champions. Let’s look at the coming games.
No. 1 Dallas Mavericks vs. No. 8 Golden State Warriors. The Golden State Warriors won three out of the four meetings in the regular season. It seems that Don Nelson knows his former team Dallas that he has the scheme to beat them. But that’s the regular season, Dallas Mavericks is number one for nothing. With their ballance offense, nobody from the the Warriors can guard Dirk Nowitzki. The Mavericks has great defense which will stop the Warriors tremendous offense. Dallas will win 4-1.
No. 2 Phoenix Suns vs. Los Angeles Lakers. With Steve Nash in control, it is difficult to beat the Suns. This time they have the service of forward Amare Stoudamire and the Lakers has to find a way to limit him. We will see Turiaf or Odom guarding him. Kobe Bryant (more…) Read more:Western

Cleveland in the NBA finals? 2007-04-21 04:14:32 When the Chicago Bulls suffered a defeat in the hands of the New Jersey Nets, the Cleveland
Cavaliers felt a sigh of relief for obtaining a ticket for the easier way to the Finals.
Yes, the Cavaliers bracket is more winnable than that of the Bulls. Cleveland will have to face the injured laden Washington Wizards in the first round and most importantly, they avoided the possibility of meeting the Pistons in the second round.
With Lebron James maturing and elevating his game, the Cavaliers this time have a greater chances of winning. Also, James’ supporting casts are jelling well enough (more…) Read more:NBA

Seven Surprising Things in first games of the NBA Playoffs 2007-04-23 05:13:37 NBAPlayoffs
? The games are all exciting and of course the competitiveness is at the full gear. After the 16 teams have played, I noticed some of the unexpected and surprising occurrences.
1. Warriors defeat the Mavericks. Stunning! The three games that the Warriors won against the Mavericks in the regular season were not a fluke. They were for real. Don Nelson has an answer to his former team.
2. Denver upsets San Antonio. I’d written before about the Nuggets of winning games to be the sixth seed and would have to play the Spurs. Denver showed the poise with their two superstars Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson. The Nuggets are not afraid of the Spurs.
3. New Jersey beats Toronto. Vince Carter was the marked man but Richard Jefferson was the man. With Jason Kidd assisting and rebounding more than scoring, the Raptors are in trouble.

The lungs that save an elephant 2007-04-22 18:18:17 I like this video of Lance Armstrong. No wonder he won seven Tour de France.
All top cyclists have excellent physical attributes. Armstrong is no exception, although in one way, he may be unusual even for an elite athlete. Pistons Ends Game 3 Curse 2007-04-27 06:21:39 For six in a row when leading a 2-0, the Detroit Pistons
hasn’t won the third game. This time they changed their fate.
Tayshaun Prince scored 23 points and Chauncey Billup with 21 to defeat the Orlando Magic 93-77 and takes a 3-0 lead in the first round of the playoff series.
Everytime a curse is lifted, a great team must play their best but this time the Pistons had a sub-par performance but good enough to get past the Orlando.
Chris Webber added 15 points and seven rebounds.
The Orlando Magic didn’t get that much as Grant Hill and Hedu Turkuglo were 6-of-22 shooting.
