LG Electronics (LG) and Google
announced a global collaboration to provide Google’s services on millions of LG mobile phones. LG Mobile users around the world will now be able to easily search for information, find locations, update blogs and manage email while on the move.
“Building on our efforts to set new standards for wireless handsets, we are excited to partner with Google to offer extra value to consumers with enhanced mobile Internet experiences,” said Mr. Paul Bae, Vice President of the Product Planning Team at LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “LG’s mobile devices, combined with Google, will provide consumers with easy access to their favorite Internet services even without a PC and make it easy for them to stay connected while in motion.”

Napster & AT&T tie-up for wireless music 2007-03-27 05:52:47 Napster Inc. and AT&T Inc. said on Monday that they had agreed to a deal to provide some of the top U.S. phone company’s wireless and high-speed Internet customers with free digital music.
The service will be available beginning April 1 and will enable qualifying users unlimited access for one year to more than 3 million song tracks through Napster To Go. Those customers can transfer some tunes to compatible wireless phones and music devices.
The offer is available to qualifying new or existing AT&T wireless customers outside of the AT&T’s traditional 22-state territory who agree to a two-year wireless agreement with purchase of the SYNC phone by Samsung, or the BlackJack phone.
Shares of Napster climbed 40 cents, or 10.5 percent, to close at $4.22 on Nasdaq.
