I guess I simply had to get used to her lame behaviour - meant as said. She is slow and somehow dazed (&confused ;-) but in a likeable way and her style is totally fantastic! can wear every dress (it's kind of "normal" isn't it?). This is a dress you definitely have to be totally skinny for, so I simply do not understand why this model isn't!? ZING ::: makeup art 2007-04-27 01:18:00 Sometimes I find something interessting on the internet and post something about it without knowing what it is exactly.Before I left for Berlin I found this Video somewhere on youtube and had to post it, because I think it's absolutely beautiful!While doing a little research about it I found out, that this video is part of a collaboration project (which also includes four more videos!) between hong kong based (?) make up artist ZING and the fashion "powerhouse" Lane Crawford.Makeup is something I'm not so much into personally. I only use a daily natural makeup and sometimes nothing at all! Maybe some lipgloss, powder, rouge, mascara that's it (eyeshadow on special occasions). But I love it when people really get crazy about make up and do weired things to faces... Coloured Latex ::: UK Vogue May 2007 2007-04-27 00:49:00 Noone really expected me wearing latex at the bloggers meetup in berlin last friday although several people asked me about it and I had to confess that I really was thinking about wearing some (that sounds as if my closet is filled with all kinds of latex stuff - it isn't, btw!). Robert and Luisa (aka style scout pointed out that there is another latex editorial in this month's UK Vogue. Thank tfs it's no problem to see it (I actually went straight to the newsstand the next morning, because I was so curious...). Purple Fashion Magazine ::: and others 2007-04-27 00:07:00 Whenever I'm in Berlin (I love pro-qm - the best book store ever!!!) or have to spend some time in a major railwaystation I spend money on magazines. Nowadays I'm pretty broke (well that's no news), so this time I couldn't purchase as much is I actually planned (Lucky me that there're so many great online magazines...).This time I bought the Summer 2007 edition of PurpleFashionMagazine
which is only published twice a year so its price of 16 EUR seems appropriate. Berlin part 01 ::: Catwalk takes to the Streets 2007-04-26 14:35:00 I'm back, finally. ..After spending several hours on german autobahns on friday me and my boyfriend arrived in berlin and went directly to the opening of the style scouts and stil in berlins show at the create berlin showroom which is located at the "Postfuhramt" (please enter from Oranienburger Straße!). The show is on until may 8th and definitely woth a visit if you're into streetstyle photography (which I guess you are!?).I was very very pleased to meet Robert and Luisa aka the style scout and mary and ben aka stil in berlin. Although I think her legs are a tiny little bit too skinny (please no further discussion in that topic!) Hit by a dog... 2007-04-30 16:52:00 I've been hit by a dog today. Can you imagine? It just knocked my feet off by accident (she was running after my dog and I somehow stood in the way...) and I fell like a stick (on cobblestone!!!). Wow that must have been a sight to behold ;-) Now I missed my french class and lie around at home whining. There definitely isn't anything brocken, just some grazes, but it f****** hurts believe me! The H&M nightgown 2007-04-28 21:53:00 I wanted this H&M dress the moment I saw it and was very glad to find it at H&M Friedrich straße on saturday. QUALITY STREET ::: fine art fair frankfurt 2007-05-01 23:04:00 My friend Kate and I have been to the fine art fair frankfurt (which took place between April 13th and 15th) a couple of weeks ago. This year it was called "Quality Street" (yes, named after that british sweets I hate so much!) and a sculputers only fair. 48 international galleries showed "off works" by 90 artists from the 20th and 21st centuries. The conventional trade fair architecture had been almost entirely done away with the presentation of the sculptures. The works were shown in a darkened hall without stand walls, and illuminated in a stage like style. A lounge in the centre of the hall served as a meeting place and information hub. The responsible architects are from the berlin based company kühn/malvezzi (Wilfried Kühn actually is my professor...). Definitely a unconventional kind of art fair!!! Being stuck in Heidelberg 2007-05-04 00:55:00 isn't that bad some- times. Not blogging for about two days already makes me a bad conscious. But beeing in Heidelberg
right now is simply too much fun. There's an exhibition opening at the Heidelberger Kunstverein tomorrow (7 pm). Niels Bonde a danish artist came all the way from copenhagen to build his exhibition only to realise that he totally wasn't able to work because of some bad back ache. A friend - Berndt Jasper, an artist from Hamburg who does totally amazing things (I'll write more about it later) - who drove him here built the whole show for him and somehow got stuck in Heidelberg - which isn't that hard when you meet the right people here and he did ;-) So we spent the last two days at the Orange Café Bar and at Kate's shop/gallery space drinking and simply having fun. That's so important sometimes. Well tomorrow everything will be over - we'll all be back to (working) reality!
Andrea hacked the documenta12 homepage!? 2007-05-08 17:17:00 I found this video in my mailbox today and until now I don't understand what it's all about. A little research on google and the documenta12 blog shows that the video was probably made by the Berlin based video artist Hito Steyerl who is probably going to participate in this years documenta!? I really don't know what this is all about and why someone sent this video to me. I write about it because - besides loving the Michael Buble Spiderman theme - this video mysteriesly overtook the documenta 12 website. While I write this blog, there still is nothing but this video on the official documenta 12 website. Isn't that strange? I'm really curious...Attention: Before you watch it you should know that there's some nudity and fetish stuff -like bondage - in it (just in case some of you readers have problems watching that kind of stuff...) A fact that makes it even more strange!!!
