Weekly Dose of Sandra Bullock 2007-04-05 16:02:00 Because I love her so much, I've decided to incorporate a weekly dose of Sandra
Bullock
on Lesbiatopia. If there was ever a Lesbian movie to come out where Sandra Bullock
played the lead role, I think I would drop dead from a coronary right then and there. I mean, first of all, Sandra Bullock is the most beautiful creature on earth, and just to imagine her with another woman makes my blood feel like Old Faithful. I don't even know if she's a big hit with the lesbian community like some other actresses (Angelina Jolie, Pink, etc) but she would make one sexy dyke! I would tell you about the time that her and I were hanging out and I gave her a big wet one, but I'll let you see for yourself. Here she is on the Ellen Show a few weeks ago talking about her new movie Premonition (which I have not seen yet, I know, I'm a bad fan).Hope you enjoy your Weekly
Dose of Sandra Bullock!
Idol Shocks Viewers, Gina's Gone 2007-04-05 15:29:00 Well, it's a sad day for Lesberada and I. One of our top picks for Idol has been voted off the island. Last night was not only shocking for us, but also for America. Gina Glocksen, who seemed to be doing quite well in Idol standings, was voted out of the competition. Sometimes I have to wonder if the whole voting thing isn't really rigged. I mean, vocally Gina was a lot more talented than some of the others (cough cough Sanjaya). I'm really gonna miss her cute little rocker outfits and the tiny glimpses of that tongue ring. Fox must have gotten wind that she was a lesbian, or atleast Bi, and felt they had to put a stop to her. Maybe the True Colors Tour will pick Gina up for a special performance. Am I being too presumptuous here? Probably, but no matter whether Gina is on American Idol or not, we'll always be big big fans!
The Movie to Look for in Theaters 2007-04-06 17:03:00 I was watching The Illusionist last night (which was incredible and you should go out and rent/buy it right now) and one of the coming attractions was this new movie called Gray Matters which is "coming to Theaters
in 2007". There was no release date yet, but as I watched the preview, I thought to myself "well this looks cute and funny" and then as the trailer progressed, it totally caught me off guard; this movie has a lesbian theme to it! It has a great cast (including Heather Graham as the lesbian in question) and also includes our favorite Rachel Shelley (Helena from the L Word) with a small (but certainly not unnoticeable) role. Overall, it looks like a funny, quirky, Must Love Dogs-type romantic comedy with the added bonus of a Lesbian twist, and I for one can't wait for it come out in theaters!! Besides, who doesn't want to stare at Heather Graham,Bridget Moynahan and Rachel Shelleyfor 1.5+ hours??Check out the Trailer! And wave your hand if you're as excited as I am!!

If you like sex... 2007-04-11 22:23:00 ...than you should make it a top priority to go out and rent Shortbus, which was released on DVD on March 13, 2007. This is probably one of the best movies I have seen in a long, long time. Not only is it sexually provocative, daring, emotionally entangling, sensual, powerful and funny, it encompasses a diverse cross-section of topics and allows you to watch the characters grow and develop. I saw the movie in theaters and was alarmed at the amount of baby-boomer aged heterosexual couples that were also there, so when there was a standing ovation at the closing credits, I thought to myself John Cameron Mitchell has truly created a masterpiece that anyone, not just the GLBT community, can appreciate and enjoy.Check out the trailer!
Road Trippin' 2007-04-11 00:37:00 In just two short days, Lesberada and I embark on our cross country road trip to California. We are relocating to the Santa Monica area and in doing so, will take about seven days to enjoy the sites and visit a few friends along the way. We are taking two cars, two friends, and three cats, and have decided the trip should have an Oregan Trail theme complete with Buffalo chases and covered wagon rides without the dysentary. We will be filming portions of the trip so stayed tuned for exciting video clips. We are driving down the East Coast (much like the route Borat took), stopping first in VA to visit a friend of mine from College. From there we head to Birmingham, AL for a sweet taste of the South and to visit yet another friend of mine from College. From Birmingham we head to Dallas, TX to stay in one of Dallas's Gayborhoods with yet another friend of mine from College thanks to my overwhelming popularity. After Dallas, I will have run out of friends so we will be staying at vari Read more: Trippin
Homeless in LA... 2007-04-21 02:45:00 Well, Lesberada and I have arrived in LA after a very exciting 7 day journey cross-country. We are currently crashing with various friends and family until we can find an apartment. We spent the day driving around looking at neighborhoods and apartments today in the LA area. We actually got lost in Beverly Hills and West Hollywood and I almost got runover by 17 different types of Mercedes Benz. People in CA drive like it's their last day on Earth, and this is coming from a true "Masshole". Man, I thought Boston was bad!! Anywho, I will provide more updates when possible, but internet access is limited until further notice. Look for pictures of our trip, coming soon!!
Who's that girl...lalalalalalalala 2007-04-26 07:34:00 So day two at my job as the Assistant Website Editor of the new organic baby food company, Tastybaby, has been quite a ride. Despite the fact that Lesberada and I still haven't found an apartment, and are staying with some random people we know in Redondo Beach, I have indeed started my job in Santa Monica. Go me. I'm working alongside a well known Marketing and Media agency who are host to several well-known clients such as Justin Timberlake and Eve the rapper. Speaking of Eve, I was sitting at my desk today doing some internet blog research and chatting with my boss. We hear laughter at the big important marketing meeting in the next room, and so I ask me boss, "What's the meeting all about" and she was like "Oh it's something with Eve." I go, "Eve, the rapper????" and she goes "Yeah, they're meeting with her right now" and I'm like "IN THE NEXT ROOM WHERE EVERYONE IS LAUGHING??" and she's like "Yep" (rather nonchalantly I might add). So then I'm sitting there at my des
I admit it, I miss TV 2007-05-01 23:11:00 Well, I've been in CA now for 12 days, and Lesberada and I finally found an apartment this weekend that didn't look like something out of Westside Story or Rent. I was actually starting to get used to living the life of a nomad, but I have to say, it feels nice to have a place to finally call home. Plus, the cats were getting annoyed that they didn't have a permanent place to put their litter box. Now that we have our own apartment, complete with palm trees and an in ground pool, we have access to television but alas! no TV. On top of that, my dear computer of 6 years bit the dust last night when I tried to turn it on. If it wasn't for work and my ability to access the outside world via the internet, I would be completely and utterly lost. Well, for the most part I still am. I mean, how is a girl to survive without Television? I MISSED the American Idol that Ellen hosted (I hang my head in shame), along with my other favorite shows like House, The Office, and others that I Read more: admit

"Wicked" just doesn't cut it anymore 2007-05-08 21:31:00 II've already been made fun of several times by some local Californians for having a "wicked" bad Boston accent. Ironically, my accent isn't much of a Boston accent, not like people who were brought up in Dorchesta (Dorchester) or Medfid (Medford). And it's certainly not a sexy or glamorous accent like Helena Peabody on the L Word (she could talk dirty to me any time). Although I don't have a prominent accent, there are some hints and twinges here and there where the wickedness really comes out (pardon my pun). The biggest thing about Bostonians is that they refuse to articulate, and they don't say their "r's". I'm sure you've all heard the infamous "Pahk the cah in the Hahvid yahd". According to Wikapedia, the traditional Boston accent is called non-rhotic; in other words, the phoneme [r] does not appear at the end of a syllable or immediately before a consonant, as in some types of British English. My goal here is to re-introduce those "r's" into my life and try my best Read more: Wicked
America doesn't know good talent 2007-05-17 07:01:00 Melinda, before tonight's voteTonight, Melinda Doolittle was sent home, which is a damn shame because she's a genuinely talented singer and definitely the most qualified out of the three singers left. Yes, Blake is good at beatboxing but he sounds like a 13 year old boy at a middle school talent show. He can't dance, either. A step up from Blake is Jordin, who is adorable and vocally talented, but she should probably finish High School before she pursues a career in the music industry. The truth of the matter is, at the end of the day, neither Blake nor Jordin compare to Melinda. Despite the fact that Melinda got voted off tonight, which is only because the teeny boppers control the Idol vote (much like the governement control the media), I know she will go on to do great things, and I look forward to the release of her first albumn.Melinda, after tonight's vote Read more: America

Roadtrip pictures, finally!! (or some of them, atleast) 2007-05-16 19:38:00 Well, it's been about a month since our famed roadtrip from MA to CA ended, and I still daydream about all the fun we had. Unfortunately, we had some kickass pictures on a digital camera and I accidentally lost the memory card they were saved on, which totally sucks and I am a total schmuck for losing it. Anyway, here are the pictures, in slideshow form, from my regular camera that I had transferred over to picture CD and uploaded on the web. I will be getting the rest of my pictures developed, and should also be getting some pictures from my cousin and her boyfriend who joined us on our cross country journey. Most of the pictures you'll see here are scenery pictures (we took people pictures on the digital, which is now gone). We traveled through 19 states in 7 days and met many interesting people and saw some VERY interesting places. Here are some of the pictures from the Roadtrip

GayOL, here I come 2007-05-15 05:42:00 Well folks, it's official. AOL, or should I say GayOL, is down with the GLBT folks like whoa. They've come across my big old gay blog and asked me write for their big old gay blog as well. What is their big old gay blog, you ask? It's QueerSighted and it's awesome. If you aren't an avid reader already, then you should navigate your little world wide web right over there and get your GayOL read on (just wait, it'll catch on). So from now on, I will be sharing all my perfectly hilarious insights and all of my infinite wisdom on not one, but two, gay blogs. Of course Lesbiatopia will still be my lovechild, but you can catch me on QueerSighted more times than you can shake a stick at George W Bush. In other words, about 5 times a week. You can read the official annoucement here and don't forget to check out my bio, and leave me some love in the form of written commentary. Oh yeah, and props to AOL for bringing the big fabulous world of gays into their own world. It's one thi
My Idol Prediction 2007-05-14 22:08:00 As sad as it it, American Idol is nearing the end of the Season. In the beginning, I sometimes feel as though it will never end, but alas! the final weeks are upon us (although we all know Fox will drag it out for another month, regardless). To set the record straight, Lesberada and I are staunch supporters of both Jordin Sparksand Melinda Doolittle. Both of these women are extremely talented vocally and are also both incredible performers. I predict the final two will be comprised of these two women. Now, let's talk about Jordin Sparks. What a hot little ticket that one is. Lesberada and I admittedly find ourselves drooling over her, and thinking we about how want to get a taste of her spicy flava. Then the guilt sets in. Despite her hotness, gorgeous smile and obvious confidence, the sad reality is she is merely a child, only 17 years old and not a day older. When I picture her shakin' that hot booty in those sexy outfits, I feel pangs of dirtiness and guilt. I start to f Read more: Prediction

Have You Seen Another Gay Movie? 2007-06-06 18:59:00 I know you're probably confused right now and wondering what gay movie I'm referring to. Well, I'm actually talking about "Another Gay Movie", the movie. Huh? Still confused? Yeah I was too, until I came across Another Gay Movie and wasn't sure if it was a spoof on gay people or a really bad porn. I can tell you one thing, it's one hilarious gay movie that's flown under the radar like gays in the air force. If you're thinking Brokeback caliber for this movie, put your expecations back on the shelf. This unrated movie is purely FUN!! It's a Grade A spoof and unrelentingly queer take on Porky's, American Pie and all the other teenage sex comedies you've ever snuck into. If you ask me, it doesn't get much better than that. The butch lesbian in this movie is by far the funniest character. I must warn you though, this flick dishes the raunchiest, lewdest and crudest type of humor so leave your rosary beads in the nightstand and tell your Mom it's girls night. Now go gr

madFEMMEprideLA 2007-07-03 15:44:00 Wow, ever since I moved out to LA, I've become more busy and more social than I've ever been (and that's pretty social). This post is meant particularly for the LA-area lesbians because I have some exciting news! Me, my g/f and a few friends have recently started an LA lesbian social meetup group called madFEMMEpride-LA. What is madFEMMEprideLA? Well, it's AWESOME!!!
