Subprime Woes
2007-03-22 16:58:03
Will they spill over into the broader economy? Credit Counselors Overwhelmed Goodbye Easy Mortgage Subprime Game Over? Sadly, this sector has played a large role in economic growth over the past five years. Overly loose money ALWAYS leads to a crisis. It’s the nature of the game. The “leadership” in our country has failed to act with wisdom and no real change is foreseen.

Credit Economy a Ponzi Scheme?
2007-03-20 20:28:19
Check out this article by mainstream financial publication The Economist. Even the “normal” news and opinion folks are starting to see what we have been saying for a couple of years - our system is built on a mirage of credit and debt. The obligations are too large to be paid for out of real funds. The scheme cannot last forever. Check it: http://www.economist.com/finance/displaystory.cfm?story_id=8864415

Government Should Never Bail Out Poor Decision Makers

Can America Afford the War?
2007-04-03 22:17:39
I don’t think we have the ability to literally pay for this war. It will come back to haunt us as we will be relatively tapped out just when we need the strength. I am not a Democrat (nor Republican), but I think we should be readying ourselves to significantly diminish our day-to-day expenditure on relatively foolish war efforts such as the one in Iraq.  It is simply a waste of resources (lives, the efforts of our best warriors, cash, energy).  The war is strapping us with further indebtedness and pain. An interesting article.

Nemesis: The Last Days of the American Republic
2007-04-07 02:13:51
Does the United State’s economy rely too heavily on war? Has militarism has become entrenched and inseparable from the nation? Why is the CIA’s budget, and the budgets of every other intelligence agency and 40% of the defense budget, kept secret? Is America effectively bankrupt with its 8.96 Trillion dollar debt? If you find these to be pertinent questions, I point you to the following article: http://www.safehaven.com/article-7310.htm

Don’t Stress…
2007-04-07 02:01:17
Look, with all the BS that goes on around the world everyday and all the shakiness of our overall system at the current juncture, it’s easy to get down. I mean, look at our elected and unelected leaders, in general they don’t have much going for them by way of intelligence, honesty, and insight. However, by simply taking the time to mentally understand what’s going on, prepare yourself for the possibilities and enjoy the path along the way (via entertainment, education, social interaction, love, sport, etc.) life can be all good even in the face of ridiculousness in the broad world. Ponder This&hellip ; is not here to simply be a Chicken Little, we’re here to share a little bit of life, while we prepare for a little bit of life. Get what I mean? There is absolutely nothing to gain, and simply everything to lose, by ignoring warning signs that flash all around us. Simply taking a perspective of reality-based preparation will allow each and every one of us to be
