Pay Per Post has launched a new project that will benefit posties greatly. The project is called PPP Direct
. This new project allows for posties to snag opportunities outside of pay per post without having to fight over them. Posties place the PPP Direct badge on their site for potential advertisers to sign up for a sponsored post. Posties are able to set their own price that they want to be paid for a sponsored post. I’ve set my price at $10.
PPP Direct only charges a 10% service fee, and almost 5% of that goes towards PayPal and Credit Card Fees. Other blog advertising competitors may charge 50-100% markup and keep half of your money. Say the price set for you to write a review is $100, the competitor will pocket $50, leaving you with $50. With PPP Direct, they’d only be making $10 and almost $5 will go towards paypal and credit card fees. You’d get to keep all $10
Um OK? 2007-06-01 06:55:47 My mouth is still tender. I’m hoping in a few days the pain will be gone. My mouth does feel a hell of a lot better but I’m still taking the Tylenol ES (just 1 tablet this time) here and there.
People who write reviews of products and services, whether you’ve tried them or not, I have a question. Do competing companies leave nasty comments about the product/service/business that you have written about? Well it has been happening to me. A recent comment I got was just WHOA for lack of better words. I wrote a review about a flower service that I used for Mother’s Day. The flowers were delivered on the day that I suggested and my mother and aunt loved them. I even got free shipping on them. What I found fishy is that another flower service left a story how they ordered from the place that I ordered from and they didn’t get their flowers, got the run around, etc. Um if you are in the flower business why are you ordering from other companies? The claim just do
It Must Match!!! 2007-06-01 06:55:34 Greg and I are currently looking for a dresser to match our new bed that we’ll be getting in August. I for one can’t stand when things don’t match so it has to match. Now, it matching may mean that we spend more than a few hundred dollars. I don’t want to do that! I’m going to figure out how to finish a used dresser in the finish of the bed. I know I can get a used dresser for free or for $50 or so. I just have to brainstorm on how I’d give it a tropical look like the bed. I’m going to be getting my “DIY” on come August! If you live in North Carolina (I really want to live there now) check out north carolina furniture. They have some really beautiful inspiring pieces.

Throwback Thursday: 1 2007-05-31 15:42:03 I couldn’t help but join in on ThrowbackThursday
. I decided to go way back, back to when I was fresh out of the womb, that way I’ll have more material to expose each Thursday. I’m only 20, I don’t know how much throw backing I can do! So here’s a picture of me in the hospital and of me and my mother when I was 5 days old. I was a bald baby. Next Thursday I’ll be exposing how fat I was. I used to eat anything, even chitterlings. YUCK!

Trendy Affordable Scrubs 2007-05-31 15:40:47 I’ve always be fascinated with medical scrubs with characters and pretty patterns on them. They make visits to the doctor kinda fun. I think they would probably make going to work fun too. When I decided I wanted to become a medical assistant, I started looking around for scrubs just to see what’s out there. I found some pretty cute ones on ebay, some of which I wanted to stash away. I think I better wait on those though, until I get a job first! I don’t want to have a closet full of scrubs and no job to wear them to. Visit UniformCountry.Com for affordable mens medical scrubs and women’s medical scrubs. Read more:Trendy

Makeup & Pooch Wearin’ 2007-06-04 14:41:37 Yesterday was a fun day. I tried out some products from Loose Lips New York. I wore the pooch in the Peekaboo Pouch from Baby Dagny and took some pretty satisfying pictures. Here are my reviews.
Natural Pumpkin and Multi Fruit Complex Peel - This stuff smells good enough to eat. I just love the pumpkin scent. I rubbed this exfoliant on my face and left it on for 5 minutes. It tingles and may burn a teeny bit, it’s supposed to.
Honey & Almond Scrub - This smells yummy too. I used this on top on the pumpkin peel. This works with the peel to help exfoliate and remove dead skin cells. The two did their job because I had skin peeling off of my nose. When putting this on, I recommend holding your face above the sink because some of the almond pieces may fall off while you’re rubbing it on your face. My face felt really clean and refreshed after using the two.

Hungry & Sleepy 2007-06-03 21:34:59 The reviews for Loose Lips New York and the Peekaboo Pouch will come tomorrow. I promise. I’ve already taken pictures. I just have to gather my thoughts and upload. I’ll post my Green Thumb Sunday tomorrow too. Greg and I went out for a random ride and now it’s now my bed time. I’m also starving. I have some good news too. Goodnight. Read more:Hungry

Eco-Friendly Soy Candles 2007-06-03 10:21:34 I am a candle fanatic. I just love candles that smell like baked goods and fruits that are rich in their scents. It has been over 6 months since I’ve purchased candle making supplies. I have a fascination for making candles, but I haven’t gotten started yet. I need a kettle, boil bags, and other supplies. I think that once we move I’ll be more into my projects.
I’m interested in making soy candles. I didn’t know that soy lasts 3 times longer than paraffin wax. I didn’t know that paraffin is a by-product of gasoline refining and contains at least seven toxins including benzene, a carcinogen. Soy wax is a renewable resource, is cost effective, and eco-friendly. Soy wax also doesn’t produce the thick black soot that’s found around candles that use paraffin wax. I can’t give up my paraffin wax candles just yet, so I just warm them up on my warmer instead of burning them. Now if you want to make your home healthier and still be able t Read more:Friendly

Generic Ink 2007-06-03 09:10:18 We own 3 printers, 2 of which are ink jets and the other a color laser jet. We haven’t gotten to use the laser jet printer yet because we don’t have a complete toner set. Apparently you can’t even print in black if you have the black toner cartridge but are missing the cyan cartridge. When I tried, it said to install the cyan cartridge. I don’t see how I need a cyan cartridge to print BLACK when there’s a BLACK cartridge installed. We won’t be getting the cyan cartridge soon because they are like $40. Plus we need the magenta and yellow ones too. I have a feeling if I got a cyan and popped it in and tried to print, it would probably say install the magenta cartridge and would continue until all of the cartridges are installed. We’re currently using my hp all in one since I got some recycled inkjet cartridges for it off of ebay. Many people, when they run out of ink they just purchase a new printer because sometimes the ink is the same price of Read more:Generic
Crud. Crud. Crud! 2007-06-06 16:56:07 My The Body Shop consultant website is down due to the fact that I didn’t make my 3 month goal. I only sold $100 and had to sell $400. I now have to place an order for $50 over the phone to get the site back up. Things are tight on my end right now and I don’t want the site to be down too long. I’ve been promoting the site and I don’t want potential customers to be like “what happened? oh well I won’t be ordering from her.” or either place an order with someone else not knowing, since the site now gives the option to search for another consultant when my site is down . So if I could gather up $50 in orders, then place them over the phone, that would be great. What I’ll do is collect your order and place the order over the phone. The Body Shop At Home will send me the products and I’ll send them out to you guys. Don’t worry about shipping fees, I’ll handle them. If you order, email me your address just in case you want
1408 The Movie 2007-06-05 19:42:19 I’m not one to believe in the supernatural. I won’t believe in the supernatural until I see a ghost or things moving all on their own, such as a knife in mid air. People say that there are aliens on the earth, well that’s all fine with me. As long as they don’t bother me, I won’t bother them. Heck, we can become friends.
One way to see the “fake” supernatural is through television and movies of course. In the 1408 Movie a man played by John Cusack loses his daughter. The scene in the trailer is so sad. His daughter took her going to die well. After losing his daughter, John Cusack becomes obsessed with the after life and the paranormal. After searching for years, he gives up and doesn’t believe in the paranormal, until he’s sent a postcard directing him to room 1408 at the Dolphin Hotel! Samuel L. Jackson tries to convince John not to stay in room 1408. Dolphin Hotel visitors are invited to stay in any room BUT 1408. Why? I’

Adventures in Babywearing’s giving away a $50 gift certificate to Vincent Shoes. The Betty shoes are so adorable and they look so comfy. Actually all of Vincent’s shoes look comfy. A Day Late 2007-06-10 03:14:52 I intended on blogging yesterday but I was working on a website that I just finished. *phew* I was gonna blog about Friday. Friday we got a lot done.
We:
- Paid Bills
- Deposited money in the bank
- Took back our cable box (we downgraded)
- Got Caesar’s nails trimmed
- Went to the “beach”
- Shopped for meat
I took some pictures of the “beach”, it was really a lake, lol. I haven’t tagged or uploaded them yet. Hopefully I’ll get them up later today. I’ve stayed up waaay too long. I’m a tad hungry. I’m going to grab a snack and then go to bed.
Range Hoods 2007-06-09 01:11:49 My range hood is awful. It’s probably from the 70’s. The light doesn’t work. When I turn the knob on the fan, it doesn’t come on. I have to toggle with it. When it DOES come on, it ROARS. It’s so loud and annoying that I have only used it twice. When I need to air out the kitchen when I cook, I just open the patio door. I bet as soon as we move they’ll be installing new range hoods as well as the tubs that we should have had in January. Read more:Range

Preloaded Debit Card For Teens 2007-06-09 00:08:00 I’ve had my share of overdraft fees as a teen. I don’t even remember the causes of the overdrafts. I just know that looking back at my past banking history gives me post traumatic stress. If only I had a Teen Card. A card that I could just load up with funds and go shopping with. I think the only reason that I got a bank account was so that I could go shopping on eBay and on other online stores. So if I would have had the PAYjr I wouldn’t have lost so much money to NS overdraft fees .

TBS Website Problem Solved 2007-06-08 13:44:44 Alrighty my consultant website is back up and running. I ordered 3 body butters, came out of pocket. I’m no longer in panic. I took the paypal buttons off of the previous “general” post since my site’s back up. If you’d like to place an order visit my consultant website. And I am now begging for orders because I don’t want to have to spend another $50 in the next 3 months, if I don’t meet my $400 goal. I tried being nonchalant about orders, but now I’ve switched to beg mode. If you take the lax approach with people then they’ll be lax with you. I just don’t want to be like those people in footlocker, soon as you walk in they’re trying to sell you something. You look at something and they’re all down your back. I don’t want to be like that.
I’m back at $0/$400. Lets see if I can meet my goal this time. I have until August, possibly September. It’s not all about meeting goals. I get commissions on Read more:Problem
Throwback Thursday: 2 2007-06-14 02:31:11 Today Greg and I celebrate our 6th year anniversary, so today’s ThrowbackThursday
is dedicated to our love! The picture was taken at Greg’s little brother’s birthday skating party in 2001. Yes we look goofy. Greg has braces, I’m wearing hazel contacts, and I’m severely tanned from band camp.
Puppy Love.
We did it. We proved that we could last. We proved that we wouldn’t be one of the firsts in our peer group with a child . Now that we’ve made it, we can move on, marriage being the next step. I have this thing where I must prove points. I want to be married before I have a child not because of um tradition? morals?, what’s the word I’m looking for? BUT because I just want to prove that we’re not getting married because of the kid. People jump and elope just because they’re pregnant, then later on down the line get divorced. Sometimes things do work out. At any rate, I just think that a couple doesn’t have to ru
Born To Be Wild 2007-06-14 01:43:17 So you’ve just waken up to a bright, sunny, warm summer day. You decide, “Hey, today’s a perfect day for a ride!” So you grab the wife and you both hop on your Harley that you’ve just got done cleaning and polishing. You start her up and it sounds as mean as it did the day you bought her. So you head out. You head straight for the expressway where you begin to cruise. Everything is good. The air is good as it flows through your hair. There’s hardly any traffic at all. Your bike is running perfectly. Nothing could ruin your day. Until SPLAT! A huge, jumbo, family sized bug smacks you right dab in the middle of your eye. Maybe next time you should buy a pair of motorcycle sunglasses!

No News Is Good News. WRONG! 2007-06-13 22:40:47 I’m going to have to say that I am turning into my mother. I am a plant and flower enthusiast, just like her and now I love checking the mail . Well, not only mail but email too! My mother will keep checking the mail until the mail carrier arrives. A lot of the times, she greets him/her at the door. I don’t check the mail often because our mailbox is in the parking lot and I don’t feel like walking down there, so Greg gets it. When I get mail, I get excited. I love getting coupons, free samples, and packages. Oh and checks, how can I forget checks? Especially a pay check that I forgot to pick up months ago or a check for commissions that I made online. I check my email accounts at least 10 times daily. Is that bad? I just love getting good news! Read more:Good News
Said Nicely, “I Quit!” 2007-06-12 23:31:51 Lately I haven’t been blogging as often as I’d like. I’ve had nothing real interesting to say. I have all sorts of online projects lined up. I’ve been taking things one day at a time. Things are looking up for Greg and I. I’m thinking about quitting my job at Hollister. I’ve discussed it with one of the managers today. She says that I’m welcome to come back if I wanted. I’m going to think about it to make sure that I’m positive. Right now I don’t get many hours. There are so many people leaving and so many getting hired, it’s so hard to keep up with everybody! I’m just not feeling the atmosphere anymore. Me working conflicts with Greg’s schedule too. Sometimes I have to come in early so that Greg can get to work on time. A lot of the times I’m fighting with my clothes trying to find something to wear to WORK. It’s just not worth few days and $6.50/hr. Majority of the time I don’t want to co Read more:ldquo

Littman Stethoscope 2007-06-17 03:56:20 I’m pretty sure that if I become a medical assistant, I’ll be provided with a stethoscope (hopefully). Now that I think about it, I may have to share one. So if I have to share a stethoscope, I’ll have to shop around for one such as the littman stethoscope. I can’t imagine sharing something that’s been in other people’s ears. Entry For Today… 2007-06-16 03:57:52 June 14th was our 6th year anniversary, we decided to postpone our plans to this weekend. If all goes well we’ll be doing something later today or definitely tomorrow.
I went up to Hollister yesterday, got my check and gave my final 2 weeks. My last day will be June 29th. I feel much better that I’ve finalized things.
I redesigned The Body Shop Consultant. I hope people can figure out how to shop.
I have a few contests up my sleeve. I’ll have my first contest on Monday, so stay tuned. Just a little hint, the prize is a $50 gift certificate to a baby store!
Caesar got his regularly scheduled bath yesterday, he had some ticks. We picked up some spray and also grabbed a slicker brush just because I wanted it for him. I don’t even want him outside unless he’s in my arms or in a doggie stroller(which we don’t own). Hopefully the spray works for him. I’m going to pick up a nail clipper so I can start clipping his nails on my own instead of payin Read more:Entry

I Don’t Know About This… 2007-06-20 01:45:28 I’m a little ticked off at Paypal right now. I will not rant because I don’t want to make the Paypal people unhappy. I really think that these sponsored blogging companies should get their own processor or use something other than Paypal because what if something happens where a blogger can’t use Paypal anymore? Especially over something petty. But anyway back to why I’m ticked off. I use my Paypal debit to make regular purchases since it’s easier to use the debit card rather than wait 2-3 business days for funds to transfer into my bank account. So anyway, Greg left my card at a bank on accident. He was rushing trying to take care of a sudden problem with the car and forgot the card was in the ATM. The bank shredded the card for me. So I report the card lost and order a new card from Paypal. I received my new card a few days ago and I’m unable to activate it! I called customer service and I was told that THAT card was reported lost and they are goi Read more:hellip
