Our Adventure In The Woods

I got so dirty. Note: never hike in flip flops. My flip flops were broken in by walking the first trail that we went on. This trail was more of a walking trail than a hiking trail. But anyway, when we decided to explore another side of the lake, I stepped in mud, then walked bare foot through some rocks, got a pebble stuck in my foot. I washed my feet and flip flops off in the lake, but they were still dirty. I tried going to the bathrooms, but they didn’t have sinks, there were no doors, and to top it off they were full of goose poop, even the toilets! The reason being that I have to backup files either to my Zen Nano and Greg’s laptop. I didn’t feel like going through the hassle, but I was surfing PPP and was reminded about idrive.com. Our Nature Walk Montage

They looked like jumping spiders but after giving it some thought and finding two on Caesar, it was obvious what they were. Greg must have brought more than 2 in the house because the 2 that were attached to him, he removed, and then I found 2 on Caesar while bathing him. I removed them and put alcohol on the area, so all is well. We will be watching out for any symptoms since some ticks do carry diseases. When we take Caesar to get some shots, we’ll also tell them about it. Good thing I didn’t because I made more money today online than I would have at work. If I run in right now I could make $13. If only I could be at work and blog too. I did volunteer myself to work Thursday morning - I NEVER do mornings but it’s money. Greg’s been working a lot. I’m happy about that. On top of that, he gets more hours and makes more than me an hour. I’m thinking about working at Sears too, I’m just not ready to give Hollister the boot yet, maybe I can work at both stores. I think I’m going to apply at Sears anyway because they are still hiring. It would be fun to dress up in sophisticated button up shirts and “slacks” and drool over appliances.

I tried to get Blue Cross Blue Shield Illinois Health Insurance and was denied because of a pre-existing condition, scoliosis. My scoliosis isn’t bad but say it gets bad, then they would have to start dishing out money that’s not within their budget. After having the run around, I just said forget it. I do need health insurance, however it isn’t in my budget right now. Until I start my career, I’m counting on not getting seriously ill nor visiting the emergency room anymore. I was charged $453 to get a cut on my hand dermabonded. Good thing I didn’t get stitches instead, it would have been more. Had I known how much I was gonna be charged, I would have detoured to Walgreens .

Yesterday I found that our bank account had been charged twice for our electric/gas bill. In rage, I emailed them last night and this morning the charge disappeared. Now on to cable/internet. Yesterday I called them to downgrade the services. I had stayed on for at least 30 minutes before giving up. Today I call them and at the same time the cable and internet wasn’t working so I had to see what was up with that. It was down in our area but it’s fixed now. I thought they screwed something up and cut our service off. But anyway I wanted to downgrade because we were on a special for like $54. I remember when I used to wear contacts because I didn’t want to wear glasses. Now, I don’t care to wear contacts. That being said, I thought that two folding tables and a computer chair would do the job just fine. One table holds the pc monitor, keyboard, routers, and 2 office jet printers. I want to start my search for things to decorate the new place but I just can’t. I don’t know the dimensions of the windows and I forgot tidbits about the kitchen. I’m looking for a portable dishwasher, but I’m not sure where to put it. I could get one that goes on the counter top, but it would be a huge waste of money. Those run for about $160 and are a just a bit larger than a microwave. I could get a used standard sized portable for $55 or less. When I cook, I generate a huge load of dishes, so the counter top dishwasher is well out of the picture. I still can’t decide about window treatments, blinds, curtains or both? We ran a 25 foot cable from the living room upstairs, so we could watch tv in our bedroom. Our bootleg complex won’t allow cable to be installed in any room but the living room. So at the time Caesar had a habit of chewing cords, we broke that habit real quick. They were originally $6 and some change. Some of the lilies had lost their flowers but some were perfectly fine. I passed them up one day, then next day they were gone!
