Not so typical meal 2007-04-03 07:15:00 To be honest, I could'nt resist taking that beautiful Nachos plate in picture and then share it with you. Not fully canadian (what !?), that meal is really popular here. Served with spicy salsa, salty guacamole, you're sure to grab another pint of beer to help the nachos make its way through !
Special sunday ! 2007-04-02 07:18:00 Wow ! What an amazing sunday you all gave me. Yesterday's post on MDP has clearly been the most visited, and you guys left plenty of interesting commentaries. What a nice way to celebrate the first month with MDP running ! After public mailboxes, I thought public phone booth would be funny. Y'all have a great monday ! Read more:Special
Get on the bus ! 2007-04-04 07:07:00 One of the best way to visit Montréal is by bus, which is a good option in hot summer days when the subway is always down. This sign is a typical one from the STM (Montréal Transportation Society). One ride, 2,75$CA.
Waiting... 2007-04-06 07:11:00 I could swear Batman is waiting in panties, leaning on the wall. Don't you ? Read more:Waiting
Becoming a classic 2007-04-05 07:04:00 Montréal has recently been invaded by Starbucks... for my own pleasure. I can't live without my Italian espresso, but in the morning, what's better than a great cup of mild coffee waking you up ?! Yeah, I know, a yoga session. That Starbucks is the one on Mont-Royal street, crowded by students reading course notes or typing on expensive laptops. Read more:Becoming
Ssssssmokin' !! 2007-04-10 07:08:00 I know it's a very bad subject, but that building has always fascinated me. It's a tobacco factory : sometimes it smells good from the outside, but most of the time (especially in hot summer days) it really stinks ! And no, I won't make any publicity by saying the company's name !
Jawbreaking 2007-04-09 07:50:00 It even finished crying before I got there...
Télé-Québec 2007-04-11 07:51:00 The registered office of Télé-Québec is located in Montreal, near Jacques-Cartier bridge. That television channel offers cultural and international series, as well as local ones. It has a high level of quality; so a low level of popularity... to my great despair.
Snow, snow, snow 2007-04-13 06:06:00 One month after spring has started, we still get snow.
Gare Windsor 2007-04-20 08:46:00 The Gare Windsor
is right next to the Bell Center, home of the Glorious Montreal Canadiens. Behind the station, you can see the Marriott Hotel.
Flooding, part 2 2007-04-19 07:31:00 In the series of "see through a glass"... Read more:Flooding
Hotel Nelson 2007-04-26 07:22:00 In the old HotelNelson
, not an hotel anymore, is a great place to get a good meal on a great terrace : the Jardin Nelson. Live music, heater for cold nights. Perfect place for a romantic dinner. Interested ?
St-Antoine st. 2007-04-25 07:54:00 Near the old port, this street is so lovely. At night, it becomes crowded all summer long.
Le Château Dufresne 2007-04-24 07:08:00 Le Château Dufresne, constructed between 1915 and 1918, cost about a million dollars to Dufresne brothers. The castle is formed of two twin houses, symetric, and has been stated an historic monument by UNESCO since 1976.
Number 24 : a quiz 2007-04-30 08:22:00 The series of pictures I went in yesterday continues, but not for so long. That piece of memory is still fresh to every Montrealer, real ones I mean, even if it's been 14 years since then.Come to think about it... I could make it a quiz. What is shown on the picture ? (true, the idea of a quiz comes directly from my DP friend's Grenoble Daily Photo) Read more:Number
