Bumper Sticker Thoughts 2007-04-15 18:28:00 Here is my bumper sticker idea.
I know every time I'm at a red light I read the bumper stickers on the car in front of me so why not use all that red light time for a little free advertising!
Will it make a difference? Will people write it down and visit my site? Would you?

Rose of Sharon -Series 2006-08-04 07:23:00 I am so glad that the local parade of deer through our yard doesn't like our flowering Rose of Sharon
. (which I just found out is a Lucy, Hibiscus Syriacus ) It reaches high at about Ten Feet or so.
Although the deer ate all the blooms off my Red & Pink Peace Rose, they have left this large flowering Rose of Sharon alone, untouched begging to be painted over and over until all the blooms fade.

Ok so my digital camera gets the job done but shooting these small works and trying to capture the oil texture, details and colors well ..... to say the least I am not satisfied.
This is #8 and a perfect example, half in focus and the rest is just sliding right on off the card.

Carnival Days 2007-05-24 08:01:00 I am going to begin offering quality prints of some of my paintings through my etsy store and website.
The first one I have to present is Carnival

This is an archival giclee print on matte canvas from my original painting.
The UV inks are said to last 100 -200 years which is a long time to enjoy this festive painting.
The original was painted on site from a local homedays festival.

Yesterday was an extremely windy day, cold too but tolerable.
I had just started this painting when the canvas flopped forward straight into a pile of cadmium yellow right in the upper sky. I had to work on the fly, so I quickly grabbed a hand grip and a small metal loop leftover from a broken wind chime near by.
