Happy Birthday Dad 2007-08-11 01:53:00 Today was my fathers birthday. He was born in 1945 ahead of his twin brother and he grew up in a house on Mackey Street with his older sister and parents. Dad would be only 62 years young today.We celebrated his birthday just like he would have like it; with a barbeque. He loved his B.B.Q's just like we all do, but not with the same zest as he did.I could just picture him right now at the grill. His back is to me and there is a lot of white smoke pouring out of the black box and enveloping him. There had just been a fire-up and daddy had tossed some water on it to calm the flames. The driver had opened his door as I passed him and turned left.I looked in my rear view mirror and saw the man who had gotten out of his car, walk to the front of his vehicle and open the hood. White smoke spied out and surrounded the man in a cloak of vapour. I was sure it was radiator trouble.A convince store lay a little ahead and I was able to get off the road as a speedster in a large white Ford F-250 truck zoomed by. I turned around to go help the stranger, just like a stranger helped me earlier. King in it. I did not go out of my way too much thank goodness, it was more of a detour.On my way driving there I was thinking of what I wanted to eat, "What shall I get today?" I asked myself.
