Shalom from mogadishu. 2007-03-17 20:37:00 Hello everyonei hope you all are doing good. i did not write any blogg yesterday. i wanted to logg on, but i take so long time to get online and the page took a long time to reload. so i give upp. but right now it is working very good. i thin i understand now how it work. late time the internet go very fast, but around afternoon time it go very slow.maybe it is because to many people use in afternoon. the weather was ok today. not to hot. i wanted to go to the beach but i did not go. i will do it tomorow or on monday. i love going to the ocean, it so big and you can dream away, dream about sail away on a long distance trip.Notting is new with mogadishu

Today the weather was hot in Mogadishu. the weather is always nice here. but sometime it can get a little bit rain. but thar is nice that too, sometime the heat of Mogadishu need to cool down. I recived emails about how life is in mogadishu from a econimical view? there is rich and poor people here, and alot of people who are in the middle.Life is very cheap here, one of the reason is because we dont pay any taxex. and the reason is there is no one to pay taxex to. the goverment of somalia does not have enough power to collect taxex. you see poor family that have a phone line in their house, i can connect to the internet anytime i want for 15 dollar a month. and that is very cheap. and the phone line cost 10 dollar a month. and making call cost around under 1 us dollar.so living in mogadisho is cheap. but the hard thing is there is no p Read more:Shalom

I am back in business. it has been a long time since i write here. the reason is because of the fighting the Ethiopians/Somali government cut off the internet connection and the phone. but i get back my internet yesterday. and i am so happy for it. now i can start writing. i am sure most of you herd it on the news. it was a war in Mogadishu between the Somali government and some militia men who are loyal to the ICU. and it seems so far that the Somali government won the war. they are in full control of the city . and the main market is open again. so you can say that we are back in business again.But i have to say that, a alot of houses get damage by the heavy weapons used by the Somali government and the Ethiopians and the icu. No one is innocence. i also would like to mention that one of our house that we rented out to some people is totally down to the ground. but the family fled the house so no one get hurt. so for the time being it looks like peace is coming back
