Gruyeres - Pretty as a postcard 2007-11-29 17:56:38 Gruyeres is a small mountain village in the Gruyere region of Switzerland. It is famous for cheese and the Gruyeres sour cream. This picture from September 2004 shows lots of white sand on the shores of this beautiful lake. You can also notice the dry vegetation.
