Lcd Soundsystem - Sound of Silver
2007-03-26 16:14:00
Rating: 3,9999/10 Review: Dance-punk producer (and one-half of The DFA) James Murphy returns with his second LCD Sound sytem album. Album opens with Bowie opsessed dramatic disco beater by "Get Innocuous", and goes with a likeable disco-pop mix "Time To Get Away". If you make a song (North American Scum) which repeats two words more than forty times, then stop criticizing, it will already cause a [[ This is a content summary only. Neil Young - Live At Massey Hall 1971
2007-03-27 19:41:00
Rating: 9/10 This is one of the best live cds that i've heard in a long time. That's because he's Neil Young . On January 19th, 1971, Young returned to Toronto a star, showing off his rapidly matured songwriting in two solo concerts at Massey Hall. This album is the full second show, in such pin-drop fidelity that the noise of him adjusting his mike sounds like Crazy Horse-gig distortion. Uncut: [[ This is a content summary only. Dexy's Midnight Runners
2007-03-29 20:22:00
Dexy's Midnight Runners - Let's Make This Precious They dress in austere anti-style, straightforward, sensible and workmanlike. In the song, you want to say all the things that you've enjoyed, thundering soul roots offer a happy four minute. They're mostly known by their the most successful hit "Come on Eileen,". Actually they've heaps of hit song, and colourful emotions. A band that suddenly [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]

Dolores O’Riordan - Are You Listening?
2007-03-28 20:03:00
I listened leak version of Dolores O’Riordan's "Are You Listening ?", and it sounds good but not great. I appreciated her effort in trying to make louder guitar oriented songs, and she has a very beautiful and special voice in which she completes her rock passion once again. Of course this won't be a mastering record, it sounds commercial at times. But we love Dolores and her commercial songs are [[ This is a content summary only. The National - Boxer
2007-03-30 20:21:00
The year keeps slapping my ass; Panda Bear, Arcade Fire, Low and now The National ... While listening "American Waters" by Silver Jews, and thinkin' what a wonderful record it is, the following album in the headphones "Boxer " fights to impress me. We all agreed that previous National "The Alligator" was amazing! Bands like Tindersticks, Silver Jews, Divine Comedy have always been fantastic for me. [[ This is a content summary only. The Human League - Dare!
2007-04-04 19:51:00
Phil Oakey is a post-Iggy crooner of romantic agony who possesses a tough streak of intellectual scepticism. ‘Dare!’ is the second intoxicating intervention to be produced out of the great split, and already it’s the first Human League greatest hits collection. It is the first coherent projection of persecuted lover Oakey’s staggeringly twisted personality – I mean that in the queasiest possible [[ This is a content summary only. Joni Mitchell - For The Roses
2007-04-06 21:06:00
More songs of transient euphoria and stabbing loss, played out against an ambiguous background of relentless fatalism and constant hope, mingled in approximately equal proportions, from the poorest little rich girl in Laurel Canyon. The difference between Joni and most of her male balladeer companions, and the reason I respect her and not them, is that she writes her diary with an uncompromising [[ This is a content summary only. Van Morrison - Moondance
2007-04-11 19:57:00
If "Astral Weeks" was the best surprise of 1969, then Van Morrison ’s new album is very probably the solidest rock achievement thus far in 1970. Gone is the Gypsy-like untogetherness of the rhythm section, which gave the earlier album so much of its charm and uniqueness, and in its place is a rather more solid band, borrowing from jazz and (especially) soul sources without being in any way [[ This is a content summary only. Patti Smith - Twelve
2007-04-13 18:34:00
After Bryan Ferry's Dylanesque, the years' second major cover album comes as "Twelve " which is Patti Smith 's first album of new studio recordings since Trampin' in 2004. This is included with some hit songs from rock artists such as Paul Simon, Nirvana, Jefferson Airplane, Neil Young, the Allman Brothers Band, Bob Dylan, Tears for Fears. Definitely the songs love to be in Patti's hands, but [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]
