Palms for Life T-shirts
2007-06-11 11:10:00
This is one of my charity posts again. So here's the deal: Palms for Life volunteer, Liz Ross, will be traveling to Tanzania in East Africa this summer to work with disabled orphans in the city of Bukoba and in her luggage, she will be carrying 100 Palms for Life T-shirts. In order to do that, Palms for Life needs your contribution to help towards her minimal expenses of $3,000. So the idea is not just to give money (which is great of course and the main objective) but for people to "connect" with the poor. That's why all contributions of $50.00 or more will receive a free Palms for Life T-shirt as well. That means that you're gonna be wearing the same t-shirt with some hundred kids at Tanzania! That sounds unique...*To read more about Palms For Life Fund head over their website.*To read more on Liz Ross head over their blog.

Cali Lewis and T-shirts
2007-06-09 20:02:00
Few days ago I didn't even know who Cali Lewis was (shame on me! ) but thanks to Drew from BenSpark I'm now totally hooked up to her podcast. Geek Brief TV is a 3-5 minute video podcast, released 4-5 times a week, that covers news about technology, consumer electronics etc. It's actually, a very fresh and funny new way to be up to date on technology issues. Cali Lewis who is one of the masterminds (along with Neal) and the hostess of the show, apparently is also notorious for her t-shirt taste! In every podcast she wears a different cool t-shirt and some times has a link to the store where she bought it from. If I judge by the comments she gets, it looks like her t-shirt choices are becoming an instant success! According to Cali she must have more that 120 t-shirts by now since she needs to wear a different one in every show (source). I have to admit, I love this trend!

Printbrigade T-shirts
2007-06-09 15:06:00
OK, enough with all the partying, back to posting! Yesterday I found Printbrigade, or to be excact, Printbrigade found me, and there's something indefinably interesting about this shop. I feel that their designs have a hidden intriguing dark aspect that I cannot quite focus... In any case, they have a handful of designs that ship internationally and cost $16 plus shipping, and I definitely recommend you guys check them out . I'm looking forward to seeing more designs coming from these folks over Printbrigade, who demonstrate a pure love for art, music, and culture.

NoDiktat Store
2007-06-13 14:10:00
A few days ago I was contacted by the NoDiktat guys to check out their store and simply I'm very impressed! Wow! NoDiktat is the creation of a team of active people ("half gypsies, half nerds, half Elvis wannabes graphic designers") who live in South France (double wow for that)and with one simple goal: to build the largest community based website for graphic designers, oriented on editing products, but mostly on connecting people, talents, and ideas. The goal sounds ambitious but the folks over NoDiktat have already managed to put up some really edgy, progressive, impressive designs that print on limited edition t-shirts. My personal pick from the store? "Bang Your Head", a design just different than everything else you usually see around the net... The pricing is a little high (especially for US customers) but, hey, we've seen much more expensive stuff coming from European stores...

Motion Madness by The Keld
2007-06-13 03:07:00
Pestol.dk has launched two new designs, one by The Keld and one by Hektor. In my opinion, Motion Madness by The Keld is amazing! The design reminds me of some European comic books and for me has a feeling of decadence along with some eccentricity but at the same time it doesn't lack the humor and the satiric mood. I just loved this design! The only problem I see is typically the price (EUR 39,00) which makes it too expensive for me at the moment... :(

Get £3.00 Off Your Order at Dshirt
2007-06-13 02:27:00
Dshirt is currently offering a coupon that saves you £3.00 off your order and that's quite tempting. Dshirt is a fresh t-shirt store in the model of other online shops that feature design contests and user ratings and has a relatively fair pricing (especially for UK based stores). The coupon code is "dshirt567" and you add it at the checkout. The offer is gonna be on for a couple of months so... no rush!*Links in this post are affiliate

New Sports Collection Designs by [ 2 one 5 ]
2007-06-12 10:51:00
Two more new designs have been added to [ 2 one 5 ] Sports Collection, Barrio and Sprayer. The [ 2 one 5 ] Sports Collection combines classic sports imagery with contemporary edgy design to create some very unique and original t-shirts that totally redefine the word "sports". My favorite designs of this collection is the Sprayer, through which the [ 2 one 5 ] team exposes its connection to the world of graffiti. These tees have been individually hand numbered by the artist and are extremely limited runs.

$6 T-shirts by Bedlam
2007-06-11 22:43:00
This is another quick post to let everybody know that Bedlam Clothing is currently offering all inventory tees for $6 only. The price as you understand is super, so all you have to do is find a t-shirt that you like. The sale is gonna be on until supplies last and have in mind that they update their inventory levels once a day so there's always a possibility what you order not to be available anymore... (which sucks >:-

Silent Films Stars T-shirt by Octopus Ink
2007-06-17 19:26:00
I was browsing the Octopus Ink pages the other day and stumbled upon this amazing t-shirt. It's called Silent Films Stars and as you understand it's about... silent films. The design is printed on an ash and white striped American Apparel t-shirt (excellent choice) and captures the atmosphere of that era and the magic of these films. I've never had the chance to get something from Octopus Ink, but it's one of the most reputable screen printing companies and so I'd expect the quality to be relatively good. Before you click away let me remind you that every order from Octopus Ink store comes with a free Classic Logo Tee! You just mention your size at checkout and for the price of one tee, which in this case goes for the unbeatable price of $15, you get two shirts...

Talking Tess
2007-06-17 13:33:00
I found this t-shirt at Cafpress and I believe is a very good idea to have it. I'll explain you why; you know when you go to some events and you have to mingle and socialize with people you don't really know and you probably don't share anything in common? Me too! So Alexander from Dubai had this brilliant idea for a talking tee, which will have all this kind of boring but necessary conversations on it and will do the talking for you. That's right, this t-shirt has a whole conversation about the weather, or construction, or real estate, traffic, etc, so you wont have to get into the trouble! That's such a great idea!*Links in this post are affiliate

New Designs by I-Manifest
2007-06-16 12:38:00
Some interesting new designs came out this week by I-Manifest and I'm drooling all over them like always! The "Cupid" design is a collaboration product with Nessim Higson of IAAH (I am always hungry) and the "Portals" is a collaboration with Brian Gossett of SINCE78. One of the most interesting designs though, is the "Urban Decay" which uses a light-sensitive ink to reveal another layer of color when exposed to sunlight. I admit I totally fall for this kind of tricks like a sucker but I can't help it! So "Urban Decay" t-shirt reveals a purple layer of plants when exposed to sunlight like all descent plants on this planet...

Fish by Drew Roulette
2007-06-15 13:48:00
Artus Clothing has just released a new t-shirt created by the multi-talented Drew Roulette from dredg. The t-shirt is called Fish and is the second one that Drew Roulette designs for Artus Clothing. I find this design absolutely beautiful, unique, poetic piece of art! It's an amazingly melancholic design... The only thing that doesn't work for me is the Artus logo on top of it; it just has no meaning... So, the good news for those of you who would like to buy it is that you can get a generous 30% off that t-shirt by using the code "FISH" at the check out (offer ends on July 15th). That will save you a good $10!

302 Summer 2007 Collection is Out!
2007-06-21 13:33:00
Truth is that 302's Summer 2007 Collection has arrived more than a week ago, but with all the craziness I'm dealing with lately I didn't have the chance to make a proper post about it! Soooo with the same poetic mood as always, 302 launched 6 new men's designs and 4 women's, all equally impressive. Once again I had difficulty choosing my favorite designs to show here, especially from the women's line. Finally, I'd say that, between the men's line, the one who did it for me is the Fearless, a design with a mysterious power and internal strength not to mention this amazing lavender (American Apparel) color! From women's line my personal pick would be the Metamorphosis (or the Thought Garden ??...), which reads "You are not the same person you were before. shed your skin" and shows this distant woman turning her back to us capturing exactly this metamorphosis!

Rude 66 T-shirt by Godspill
2007-06-20 13:46:00
I came across this amazing new t-shirt by Godspill and I just had to post about it! The t-shirt is a called Rude 66 and is dedicated to the legendary European electronic musician Rude 66. Now for those who have no idea about who he is, you can read this article. To listen to his music and check out some cool material head over his Website or his MySpace page. I loved the graphic look of this design and somehow is the perfect fit (for me) when I listen to his music. Another design that caught my eye over Godspill's was the Orque Electronique which is again in the same spirit with the Rude 66. What can I say...I love the music and these t-shirts and I'm really happy I found Godspill shop who has a vary unique dark and poetic style."billed - the king of the dark electro-wave deathrace - by slick promoters, rude likes his tracks to sound like you are on the red carpet pathway to hell. dancing.""Orgue Electronique (Brian Chinetti) is the master of the staccato minimal electro-nic sound wi

Go Away Paris Hilton!
2007-06-19 18:49:00
It looks like someone has finally taken action! Citizens for a Better America wrote a song about Paris Hilton that you can listen in their MySapce page. In collaboration with them, an anti-Paris group started the "Go Away Paris" movement. The group has recently handed buttons and stickers all over LA and asked pedestrians to sign a petition. They also sell some interesting anti-Paris t-shirts through their homepage. If you share the same feeling about the woman who managed to give such a negative meaning to the word "Paris" then head over their page and sign the petition!

New T-shirts from Human Empire
2007-06-19 11:52:00
Actually, tons of new t-shirts from Human Empire , who made some interesting collaborations this time around! I'm totally in love with girls design "Stripy Girl" by German designer Julia Guther, I simply... want it! Among men's designs, I believe, the "Yes/No" by French designer Emmanuel Romeuf stands out easily. Finally, the "Firestarter" t-shirt from Juju's Delivery is a must have for both girls and boys! That t-shirt you can also get from A Better Tomorrow, which has a more organized ordering form and check out process but it's gonna cost you more. In reality, all these damn t-shirts cost more since they're made in Europe and thus shipping costs more and the USD currency doesn't help at all! :(

Museum of Witchcraft T-shirt
2007-06-18 14:53:00
Ok, I know that most of the people don't really believe in magic and all that but some time ago I bumped into this t-shirt from the Museum of Witchcraft (in Boscastle Cornwall, UK) and found it pretty cool! From what I hear is quite a popular piece especially with the pagan community in Britain and is has become a "classic". The t-shirt is quite simple featuring a hazel pentagram artwork, which comes from a collection of Dutch magical drawings (also known as Richel Collection) held in the museum library. The museum doesn't have an online store but you can check out the t-shirt here.

New VelvetBanana Collection
2007-06-24 11:22:00
VelvetBanana belongs to this category of t-shirts designers that makes you think: "Boy, these people are cool!" Their designs have this strange feeling of relaxed, laid back people who just know what they want and how to get it... And something else, their designs smell like summer! Seriously, I don't know how they do it! So when I got an email to check out their new collection I knew it was going to be good. VelvetBanana's collection #2 (designs MSD11-16 and a reprint of WSD3) has exactly a little bit of everything; a little bit of trendiness, a little bit of coolness, a little bit of relaxing melody, a little bit of inner strength! I also like their range of t-shirt colors. Again my US hunters, have in mind that you're paying in Euros so it's going to cost you more... unfortunately... :((

OK, this is not really news but now I finally have the time to blog about it! So, what does it mean? Each player starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to then report this on their own blog with their 7 things as well as these rules. They then need to tag 7 others and list their names on their blog. Three New T-shirts from Allmightys and More...
2007-06-23 14:46:00
Actually is four new t-shirts since, besides the three "Mother Nature" competition winners, there's one more Allmightys special design. The "Monsters & Mayhem" Competition just ended a couple of days ago and these t-shirts will be up for sale around mid July. Finally, the new competition is called "Big City Life" and the submissions deadline is July 16. Among the newest "mother nature" designs I really like the "Da Zi Ran" by Chinese (?) artist Chua Kim Meng. It has this absolute feeling of a mythological mother figure...

OK, I had to post this one not because I like the Dramatic Chipmunk t-shirt by Busted Tees (which I don't really), but mainly because I'm LMAO with the Dramatic Chipmunk video! What a face! What an acting! What a drama! *Busted Tees links in this post are affiliate

Let’s Listening My Music
2007-06-22 13:19:00
Ok, when I first show this design I said "wtf? that doesn't make sense!" and it doesn't really unless you know the whole story. So I wrote to Peter Bihr from keingeschenk.de who was kind enough to fill me in with all the details. While backpacking through Indonesia, Peter happened to find this little store who sold cheap fake shirts. The t-shirts were hilarious, as you may imagine, having some English phrase, always completely wrong and a picture that supplemented the words. Phrases like "Chicken nugget is alone" or "Chicken nugget is reborn" (I'm cracking up right now) along with an image of a chicken next to it consisted a completely surreal and irregular t-shirt that he just couldn't resist buying! One of the shirts had the words "Let's listening my music" and a dancing girl that looked really depressed and not felt like dancing at all. This little funny story and that particular t-shirt became the inspiration of this cool tee that is everything but a fake...So...Let's listeni

Songbird Tee
2007-06-22 11:10:00
While browsing Poketo's wallet collection yesterday, I happened to check out their newest t-shirts and I just fall in love with this Songbird tee. The funny thing is that yesterday I was also listening to the radio a very boring story about an American Singer canary competition and, of course, I was so surprised by myself that I kept listening to the story attentively! And then... this t-shirt! Is it a cute t-shirt? Is it a sensitive t-shirt? One thing I know for sure, it's a damn funny t-shirt! And at the same time a little sad too... So anywaaay, check out the Songbird t-shirt designed by Omar Lee, a painter and illustrator from San Francisco.

New T-shirts by Faveur
2007-06-21 22:16:00
So the news is that Faveur launched 3 new men's t-shirts and one for women! What I really like about all Faveur's designs is a deep spirituality that derives from them without being just another dry religious clothing brand. Personally I'm not that religious, but one of my all times favorite designs has been Delilah, which is one of the most powerful designs I've ever seen (ok, at least for me!). So this time around, Faveur came up with some more beautiful designs, such as Blind which is inspired by the philosophical idea of spiritual blindness, an idea as old as Plato and Socrates. This t-shirt is also a limited edition! Elijah is called the new women's design that has a mysterious feeling and I find it quite interesting too.*Links in this post are affiliate

OMFGZ BabyCakes!
2007-06-28 14:11:00
BabyCakes is a small little shop I found through one of my readers here at T-shirts Around and that's why I'm so happy that people who read this damn blog write to me and show me their favorite places. The shop is hosted at Bigcartel and is pretty new (it started in March 07 and features a few designs only), but according to their myspace page they have already sold 5000 shirts. The person behind BabyCakes is Paul a young guy from UK who does almost everything in the shop with a little help from his friends! The designs are very trendy and fresh and the perfect match for teenagers and young people. What I liked about them, actually, is their childlike innocence with a more edgy twist. The reason I'm saying they are mostly for teens, is because their sizes are soo small! Otherwise I would definitely wear the Stars Trains and Electropop, which is, of course, my favorite! Another thing you might like to know is the their super prices (£10.00) and, for my little hunters from UK that yo
