Brain woh had already been told about Thalia had to try and convice the others that she was the least genuine because they did not know her as well and that she should be put at the end, while trying not to blow his cover at the same time. WWW.J-LOU.COM      Rubbish Collections Fortnightly  An influential committee MP says, fortnightly rubbish collections are unsuitable for many areas and there is no proof they increase recycling.    Better research into the public health implications of leaving rubbish in the street for up to a fortnight at a time, has been called for by the communities and local government select committee.  This intervention is the follow up from a protest over alternate weekly collections, which see recyclables collected one week and other household waste the next week.  This came in a report that also warns that monetary incentives for recycling could be likely to back fire with public protests and increased fly tipping.  The cross-party select committee urged that alternate week collections - which are so far used by 140 authorities hoping to improve recycling rates - should not be introduced everywhere. The committee acknowledged there was no clear evidence of adverse public health

postal strikes set to continue

It seems that Royal mail are set to continue their postal strike which will distrupt services over the next two weeks. The postal strike now enters its second phase as the CWU steps up industrial action further by creating two weeks of disruption to postal services. Today the Union announced that: “Although postal workers will individually take 2 days of strike action in the next two weeks, the strikes announced mean that there will be two weeks of continuous disruption to mail services.   The strikes call out separate functions nationally on different days and the timing is aimed at maximising the impact on mail.” However, this still doesn’t bring the dispute any closer to a resolution. Eastender Actor Mike Reid Died Age 67

Former EastEnders actor Mike Reid has died at the age of 67 after suffering a suspected heart attack, his agent said. The actor, who played Frank Butcher in the BBC soap, was living in Spain at the time of his death.  Reid became a stand-up comedian having worked as a stunt man. He went on to work in TV shows including Runaround, Doctor Who and Minder. His agent David Hahn told the BBC his death came as a great shock as he had been in very good health.   He said: “Mike was in fine fettle. We’ve sat there in anticipation all morning waiting, we watched the other 2 brothers pull in to collect things, but no sign of him &hellip ;……….. the girls have had 3 tea breaks today too.. But we had to finish early as my sitter had to leave at 1pm, then as we were driving through the village we spotted him… he was on his way back to our yard !!! and wearing those shorts ! lol So we now have a new lunch hour slot, dead on 1pm from tomorrow, the camera Ive left all ready and tomorrow we are on a mission to capture this guy on film…lol so with a bit of luck we can post a photo tom and see if you all agree with us …………..   THE taxman is clamping down on tax dodging ebay traders by hunting them down using a ‘web robot’. The £250,000 robot, which was launched in March, is an advanced search engine that targets high-volume traders, such as those that sell goods on eBay, that fail to register for VAT. HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) expects the device to rake in an extra £1m+ a year in VAT and to  force people to register these businesses According to a report by the National Audit Office, the Revenue collected more than £1bn in  VAT from e-commerce sales in the 2005-06 tax year. This is expected to rocket by 2010 when the level of sales are expected to hit £60bn. The number of people making a second income by trading on websites such as eBay has also soared.  It is believed nearly 70,000 people earn a quarter of their living by trading on the website.
