Sixth Sense, Shadows Of Resurrection 2007-03-28 23:11:00 ט' ×‘× ×™×¡×Ÿ תשס"×–I have a "sixth" sense. It is rather nonspecific. I tend to sense "energy" or rather energy tends to channel through me.Though it channels through my entire body, it can localize sometimes too, like in my forehead between my eyes. That seems to be a favorite collecting place for the vibrations when they localize (and they don't always).I kabbalistically "read" this energy when it localizes to a particular body area, as a function of sefirotic combinations. Letters sometimes emerge spontaneously from these combinations.Sometimes I actually "see" letters in my mind. The letters don't "look" like any of the scripts for hebrew letters I've ever seen, but I "know" in my mind that they are "hebrew" letters. In fact, the actual "form" of the letters I can never remember. They retain "formlessness" to natural awareness. All that is left of them is the "impression" of letter identity. Many times there is a chaotic mess of letters that I "see" as the vibrating "fabric Read more: Sixth

The Woman In The Mirror 2007-03-31 00:50:00 Shabbat HaGadol I'm a few years shy of fifty, but the following excerpt from Sage Weston's The Wonder Of Witchcraft speaks to me similarly as did the poem Warning, When I Am An Old Woman (Jenny Joseph) when I was a younger woman.A face is a face is a face. The witch of old was reputed to have a hooked nose that met her pointed chin, a sprinkling of unsightly warts, an occasional wicked grin and eyes that would wither anyone at ten paces. No doubt many of them were sour, no doubt there were many who were downright wicked, equally there were many who were simply psychic and quite innocent of evil, struggling to survive against impossible odds, quite possibly suffering from one chronic complaint or another and worn down by poverty and persecution. Today, in more enlightened times, the white witch strives for tranquility and wisdom - in consequence her expression will mirror this. It is said that 'we all get the face we deserve over fifty' and it is as well to bear this in mind as the
Wild Tresses - Nezer 2007-03-30 08:15:00 י"א בניסן תשס"זI think I'm going to let my hair grow. Since I turned - egads - middle aged, I've kept my hairstyle rather short and "tailored" looking. In other words, I've kept an appropriately professional looking hairstyle. No more. I'm going the wild tresses look (wicked evil cackle). I don't have any grey hair yet, but even when it does turn grey, I think the wild look will stay. I'm going witchy all the way (another wicked cackle). I'm going to grow into one of those elderly ladies with long grey hair someday. Freedom, yay!A few weeks ago I trashed the lighter blonde highlights and colored my hair all over with my natural dark ash blonde color. I actually like it better. So, the highlights are a thing of the past too.Long wild natural tangled tresses. I'm going to do it.(rubbing my hands together with evil delight!)

Lavender - Parah Adumah Temimah 2007-02-17 02:45:00 כ"ט בשבט תשס"זLavender
(ארגמן-כחלחל), also called elf leaf and spike, is a masculine botanical connected to the planet Mercury and to the element air. Among its powers are love, protection, sleep, chastity, longevity, purification, happiness and peace. [1]Burned as an incense, lavender induces good sleep and rest. Smelling it often promotes a long life. Indeed, I dressed my black shabbat candle this evening with the essential oil of lavender prior to lighting it.As a component of healing mixtures, lavender protects against the evil eye. Scattered about the home, it maintains peacefulness. So powerful is the essence of lavender that it has been known to bestow upon one suffering from depression, joyousness. In Hebrew, lavender (noun) is ארגמן-כחלחל. The first term in this construct is argaman (ארגמן). The royal purple of Torah, argaman is derived from the Akkadian word argamannu meaning "purple". Argamannu (argewan, Sanskrit) itself is a synthesis of tw
Shining Brilliance 2006-12-03 06:21:00 In followup to my previous entry, Double Blessings, also posted on my blog Contemplating Sefer HaBahir, I wrote regarding the double portion of blessings received at the level of keter, and imparted via the ritual circle-casting of HaMasovevet המסובבת. The double portion of blessings via keter is associated with the double portion of the letter beit ב in the root.In addition to the doubled letter beit in masovevet, my circle name Lleucu has a doubled letter - two letters "L". The letter "L" in Hebrew is the letter lamed ל. Given the significance of the doubled beit/v to masovevet, I explored the kabbalistic implications of the doubled lamed/L in Lleucu (the secret of amen), which stands as the first part of the ritual title: Lluecu HaMasovevet. And this is what I found:R' Yitzchak Ginsburgh of The Inner Dimension teaches:The two identical letters in kallel and challel are the lameds. In Kabbalah we learn that the double lamed is the secret of the heart. King David writes (Psa Read more: Shining
Double Blessings 2006-12-03 04:46:00 ומאי ומלא ברכת ה' אלא כל מקום שנאמר בי"ת הוא לשון ברכהSefer HaBahir, verse 3 excerptTraditional interpretation: "What is the meaning of the verse , 'the filling is G-d's blessing'? This means that wherever we find the letter beit (ב) it indicates a blessing."The word which describes the sacred circle (encircling) I ritually cast as HaMasovevet המסובבת has two letters beit in it. These two letters beit represent a double portion of "G-d's blessing" at the level of keter.R' Yitzchak Ginsburgh of the Inner Dimension teaches:At this supernal level of the soul (keter), there is a double manifestation of all 10 intrinsic powers of the soul. Thus, there is an added dimension of light in the superconscious crown in relation to the faculties of the mind, and 10 times more light in the faculties of the mind than in the emotions of the heart. ... Semichah Of Yehoshua 2006-12-01 01:14:00 In my previous entry, Mighty Mouse Of Emunah, I demonstrated mouse's associations with the south, water, the letter mem, the vowel kametz, emunah of atzilut, and reisha d'lo ityada. In this post, I'll support the association of mouse with "mighty", further support the association of the mem (מ) of masovevet with kametz (ָ) and demonstrate the meditative dynamic of "grip, wander, plucked up" (kametz, siyach, nasach).First, years ago, I published the following poem, Hesech HaDa'at [1], describing an aspect of the epiphany of 1967 (from my website):hey you, what are you looking atthe mouse seemed to say silently, to me one dayhidden in the closet, coming close to seewhere land meets sea, isolating some field of awarenessdistracting the mind toward some special dutyhey you, what did you sayyou talkin' to me?hey you, what do you hearthe mouse seemed to say silently, to me one dayhidden in the closet, coming close to hearwandering around this anomaly of conversation, suddenly plucked
Tzemach & Immersive Hashra'ah 2006-10-24 05:40:00 שנאמר ומלא ברכת ב' ים ודרום ירשהSefer HaBahir, verse 3 excerptTraditional interpretation: "Because it is written (Devarim 33:23): The filling is G-d's blessing possessing the Sea and the South."ברכת has a gematria of 622 and a digit sum of echad. The value 622 represents the 620 mitzvot contained within the unity of keter, together with the "two companions who never separate" [1].Derived from the root ברך meaning "power growth", it carries the same meaning as the name Tzemach, צמח which pertains to growth.Combining these two "growing" words together and performing some creative permutations, we have the phrase sequence:צב רם כח -> mobilize, elevate and bring to life, exert creative powerThe above sequence corresponds dynamically to concept of hashra'ah, and to its associated levels of immersive creative power: ohr, chayut and koach.Footnote:[1] Zohar 3:4a; R' Yitzchak Ginsburgh, The Hebrew Letters (p. 49)Technorati tags: Torah Talmud Torah J
Tafsaret, A Rare Kind Of Sacred Scribe 2006-10-23 22:38:00 Torah Of Chesed, Neshamah. The Hebrew word ishah (אישה), meaning woman, is thought to be derived from the root word anash (אנש), meaning to "cause weakness" [1]. However, the neshamah of ishah may come into revelation and expression through the root חשה, meaning "quiet" and/or "refrain from expression or movement" [2]. Supporting this is the consideration that the word חשאי (derived from the root חשה) means "silently" and contains the letters of the word ishah, except that the ה of ishah is a ח in the word "silently". Thus, ishah describes a situation where a "once silent woman" (unable to express Torah) becomes opened (ה Read more: Scribe
Itta & The Secret Of Yayin 2006-10-23 22:17:00 As I've written previously at Walking On Fire, the website:We can understand ishah אשה to represent woman in a generic sense , a woman without name, a woman without a deep sense of her own personal story. In contradistinction to ishah, itta אתתא represents a woman with a deep unique true sense of her own personal story, a woman who has expressively claimed her deepest unique true identity and destiny - her unique name.Itta is a woman who has awakened to essential personhood and writes in her own name. Thus, itta is a woman with a name, a unique name - this is the crown of a good name, a keter shem tov, the fourth crown. The four ketarim are represented by the four heads (of the letter shin) joined and brought together into the present world through itta, the holy four headed shin of the future world. The presence of the light of the future world (represented by the four headed shin of Hashem) in the present world (represented by the three headed shin of Elokim) reflects actualiz
The Issue Of Karet 2006-10-18 06:28:00 ומנלן דהתורה נקראת ברכהSefer HaBahir, verse 3 excerptTraditional interpretation: "How do we know that Torah is called a blessing?"The letter nun נ of נקראת as an abbreviation refers to neqevah נקבה, meaning female or feminine. Neqevah is similar to the word used to describe the partzuf Nukvah - the consonants are the same, but the nekudot (vowels) differ. Nukvah refers to the "fallen female" and is pronounced like נוקבה, where the consonants נוקב mean to "be pierced".However, in the verb construct נקראת, the nun has not "fallen" into the qof ק. It has remained "above" it. The existence of the nun in an "unfallen state" is significant to the concept of karet. Remember, we are and have been dealing with keter Torah. The first 3 letters of the word נקראת are נקר. As a root standing on its own, נקר means to "cut out". In other words, here is where the feminine nefesh elokit would be "cut off" (through the position of the letter nun) if

Geut, Raising The Fallen 2006-10-14 23:46:00 כמה דאתחיל ברכהSefer HaBahir, verse 3 excerptTraditional interpretation: "... in order that it begin with a blessing."Liorah's interpretation: "... (to discern) how many thirst to know enabled power to develop proper abilities."The word דאתחיל through the gematria of 453 is first associated with the sefirah Yesod, as explained in earlier entries, The Blessing Of Kosher Development and Choshen Mishpat. In the former entry I posited the idea that raising Yesod also uplifts Malchut and linked the action to the concept of geut. Further analysis of the word דאתחיל helps us to understand why this is the case.דאתחיל "begins" (as the word is traditionally translated) with the letter dalet ד. Dalet is associated with the sefirah Malchut and the consciousness of shiflut. R' Yitzchak Ginsburgh writes regarding dalet as it pertains to Malchut, shiflut and geut:In the Zohar, dalet is read as "that has nothing [d'leit] of her own." Bahir - A Journey Into Redemptive Consciousness 2006-09-14 08:20:00 אמר ר' נחוניא בן הקנה כתוב אחד אומר"Rabbi Nehuniah ben HaKana said: One verse (Iyov 37:21) states ... "The first word [1, דבר] of the first line [קו kav, 2] of the Bahir is the letter configuration אמר, where אמר is an expression signifying a direct connection to the sefirah malchut [3,4] and to the Oral Torah [3]. Importantly, the kav finds an attachment to reality through the "world of the feminine" (see Shechinah) which is malchut. The "origin" of this female "mentality" which establishes the point of attachment is in tevunah (comprehension), one of the two partzufim of imma-binah.Without the first word of attachment through malchut, the whole brilliant light of the kav cannot be brought into manifest existence nor into the world of unified action. Without malchut to anchor it, it remains incomplete and unmanifest.Further supporting this, the configuration of the last word in kav 1 is אומר. The Fall 2007-03-31 19:36:00 An excerpt from Sage Weston's The Wonder Of Witchcraft:In the race for recognition many fall at the first fence and in their humiliation generally pick themselves up and continue with renewed vigor. By contrast, there are equally well those who find that the fall to earth is not at all unpleasant and it is with a great sense of relief that they lie there, discovering the pleasures of contemplation and allowing their contemporaries to streak ahead. Many seek a life of solitude or limited social encounters and those who realize their spiritual connections may well lean towards a mystical path.Within this category lies the witch - male or female.
Unemployment Discrimination 2007-04-02 22:32:00 י"ד בניסן תשס"זWell, I just received notice that my claim for an unemployment benefit has been denied on the basis that the nursing facility I formerly worked for told the unemployment adjudicator that I wasn't looking for full time employment, despite the fact that I applied for several full time positions with the facility. Each time the facility chose not to hire me for those full time positions to which I applied. Despite that I reiterated this fact to the unemployment adjudicator, he chose to believe the lie over the truth.Harrassment and discrimination. Now, not only am I a victim of pervasive employment discrimination but I am a victim of unemployment discrimination as well. Of course, this is not the first time a nursing facility has protested my unemployment benefit following firing me for religious-related reasons. The first "protestor" of unemployment benefits fired me for refusing to work on Shavuot. It never ends.Goddess help me! Keep me from utterly and bitter Read more: Unemployment

Se'or - Sourdough Starter & The Amulet Of Challah 2007-04-02 19:57:00 י"ד בניסן תשס"זDave at Balashon posts (via Orrin Tilevitz on Mail-Jewish) regarding se'or and the myth that yeast is forbidden on pesach:To the extent this myth exists - and I don't know anybody who thinks baking soda and baking powder are inherently not kosher for Passover - it may be a result of the widespread mistranslation of the word "se'or" (see, e.g., Exodus 12:15). Beginning with the King James and continuing through the original JPS and the current Art Scroll translations, the word is rendered as "leavening", which could include baking powder and soda - or, for that matter, egg whites. I once spoke to an Orthodox rabbi who told me that "se'or" meant yeast, and therefore yeast was inherently prohibited on Pesach. (My response was to ask whether he drank wine on Pesach, a question lost on him because he seemed not to understand what fermentation was.) But se'or doesn't mean any of these things. It actually means "sourdough starter" (see, e.g., Rav Saadia Gaon's Read more: Starter

Budding Pearly Kernel Vision 2007-04-02 07:31:00 י"ד בניסן תשס"זא I had an odd mind-vision today. A very long thin thread-like stalk grew out of the dark "ground" (essence) like a "budding" flower (tzitz ציץ). Only the bud was not flower petals. The bud actually looked like a luminescent kernel of pearly white and silver. The small base part of the kernel-like bud was silver and turned into luminescent pearly white as it extended into the wider distal part of the kernel. It swayed gently as if in a breeze. Emotionally, the vision was charged with the feeling that this little bud had overcome great obstacles to its survival and it was swaying with "relieved victory" that it had survived and was alive! It was almost as if the little bud was silently proclaiming "I am!" ת Read more: Budding

Reversal Ritual 2 In Motion 2007-04-02 06:13:00 י"ד בניסן תשס"זObservations On TodayReversal
ritual #2 was set in motion this evening during the planetary hour of Venus. Some modifications were made to the ritual's original and revised content, but those modifications will not be posted. Nor will the data-notes regarding immediate observations be posted.Today was a rather good day. Chimes are lightly tinkling as I type this. The candles on my beautified altar are burning peacefully. The scent of cinnamon-vanilla-ginger incense flavors the air, as does the gentle scent of a burning hand-dipped beeswax candle.I've dedicated a pretty wooden chest-cabinet of drawers for my mystical-magickal supplies. Ah, the pleasure it brings me. It's so organized too! This definitely appeals to the "J" in my INTJ personality. Truly, I am in heaven. A witchy wooden cabinet of drawers! Tunnel Through The Sea 2007-04-04 02:08:00 ט"ז בניסן תשס"זThis morning, I dreamt. My "brother" (not my actual brother, but I knew he was a "mystical" brother in the dream) and I were transported like twins to a high mystical mountain in an icy, glacial enchanted place. Many kinds of ethereal creatures inhabited the icy world to which we were flown upon the "wings" of magician. We saw these creatures as we flew beyond the ridges and icecap of the mountain. We arrived at a place inhabited by magickal humans. There we were kept among other X-men-like captives for scientific evaluation and experimentation. We were housed in a wooden cabin-like place. It wasn't an uncomfortable dwelling. The room we were deposited into was warm and cozy, actually. There may have even been a hearth and fireplace in the central "living room", even though the initial room we encountered was quite bare but softly well lit.The next thing I remember, although there was more to the dream than this, I was facing an open tunnel worming through a se

Benjamin Franklin, 13 VirtuesWhile the following article was written from a Wiccan-witch perspective, it equally applies to non-Wiccan practitioners of witchcraft as well, as there are many *flavors* of witchcraft traditions. Wicca is one tradition among many equally valid earth-based witchcraft traditions, including eclectic solitary practitioners who blend teachings and practices from several traditions. All witches need protection. HaMasovevet 2007-04-03 06:57:00 reposted from 11/28/06In Talmud there exists the famous story of Choni HaMa'agel (חוני המעגל). Choni the circle-drawer was a miracle-worker.Nevertheless, I do not want to name the sacred circles I cast as a Jewitch using the root עגל which means both circle and calf. From this root is born the word used for calf in the idolatrous golden calf incident we read about in Shemot 32. Consequently, I won't call myself a Ma'agelet.I prefer to use the root סבב which means surrounding, encircle, rotate and turn events [1]. From this root comes sovev kol almin ("surrounding all worlds"), which is the transcendent Divine energy which permeates the universe. This is the energy I choose with which to cast my sacred circle. Thus, my circle name is Liorah Lleucu HaMasovevet.Footnote:[1] Etymological Dictionary of Biblical Hebrew, R' Matityahu ClarkTechnorati tags: Torah Talmud Torah Judaism Kabbalah jewish mysticism mysticism jewish meditation meditation shamanism jewish shamanism ka
