JSR #2 : New York Cheesecake Pucca (Meiji) 2007-03-19 09:21:00 Price : RM3.99Weight : 55gFound : Isetan KLCC I'm slowly savouring the different snacks one by one. Today, with only half an hour of lunch break before attending our haematology workshop, I opt for this fishy-shaped little biscuits. It is much better then the Cream Cheese Yan Yan yesterday. The biscuits are sort of crunchy, not too hard, with a hollow center in each, filled with cream cheese filling. Very sweet and the cheesy taste is just right. :) Read more:Cheesecake

Cream Cheese Yan Yan + Kawaii 2007-03-18 08:32:00 This morning, I went to KLCC to relieve myself of the urge to buy some things. *Kawaii
that is* Got myself a mushroom die-cut memo pad with 2 designs and a San-X dessert bunnies mini memo pad. And also a desserts-themed envelopes pack with 3 mini envelopes and 5 large ones. I just love foodies, don't you? :D Also, I got myself a CUTIE Japanese magazine, featuring kawaii rooms and living spaces of Japanese teenage girls. It's a very colourful mag, and fully loaded with detailed pics of possessions, furniture and decorations. Although I cannot understand the writings, hoefully I'll gain inspiration from the pics to decorate my room. :)Besides that, I sort of over-splurged on Japanese snacks at Isetan. :( There was this Meiji (Japanese confectionery and snacks manufacturing company) promotion, and tons of Hello Pandas, Yan Yans, and Puccas were luring me to buy. Why I over-spended my $$ - one reason was my own un-alertness and greediness. I saw this sign saying that "Purchase above RM5 Read more:Cream

Simmonette Tan Collection 2007-03-16 08:16:00 Yesterday, I was pleasantly surprised by the approach of a fellow Sibu-ian Etsy seller. Simmy is a freelance jewelry designer, and has been in the field for a few years. She convo-ed my through Etsy, after seeing my endless self-promoting efforts on the forum. She was curious to know if I'm really from Sibu, as I put my 'Location' on Etsy as 'Sibu'. We got to know more about each other. I was really very surprised to find out that there actually are other local crafty people who do these things (selling online and all). :) I'm not saying our local community has 0% creativity, but it's extremely good to get to know a local jewelry designer. :PCheck out her Etsy shop, and her online selling website. She makes the most gorgeous jewelry! And her prices are a whole lot more reasonable and affordable if compared to those of other Etsy sellers, whose works portray a similar style. :) And the best thing is, she has asked me if I want to do a consignment with her! She's going to set up

I LOVE Rainbows! 2007-03-13 10:17:00 Yup. I totally heart rainbows. :DToday, I'm really happy because 2 packages arrived. One is an order from an ebay store. The store name is haveonhand, and I ordered a one-band plain silver sterling ear cuff. It's ABSOLUTELY PUNK! Love the rougish look it gives me when I put it on!It a queer thing - I can't find a single ear cuff in Kuala Lumpur. Not in the mega-happnening shopping complexes anyway. Early this year, sometime in January, I tried KLCC and MidValley. Searched and asked in jewelry stores like Sinma, Chameleon and Cindy. Even tried Teddy Tales. Non of these shops have any ear cuffs. I suppose it's partly because ear cuffs are out of date already. Maybe it's also because I didn't search thoroughly. So, since I cannot find ear cuffs in Malaysia, I decided to buy one online. Actually, I wanted this ear cuff :Only seen it in an ebay store, but unfortunately, the seller doesn't ship to Malaysia. *Bleh~* So nice right the ear cuff? The other package is from Chelsea, a jewelry Read more:Rainbows
Junky Wall Hanging 2007-03-11 04:37:00 Yup, I'm starting all over again. With a new blog I mean. I've been using Friendster's blogging service, but there are limitations - not being able to edit HTML for instance. One of the features I like about Blogger is the 'Add a Page Element' tool. I really like the idea of being able to add almost anything to my blog - counters, graphics, videos and links. It's very very flexible, and I find it useful because I can express myself by putting up links of my favourite websites, eye-catching web-badges and buttons, and pictures. :)Ever since I'd have the master bedroom all to myself, I couldn't help noticing that the walls are all white and blank. Don't get me wrong - I'm not saying that I don't like white. In fact, I feel that white is the most suitable colour for a bedroom as it gives a sense of space and peace. It's just that I'd like something colourful to cheer me up. :)So this morning, I was full of crafty energy. I decided to relieve myself of the itchiness to make som Read more:Junky

JSR #3 : Berry Mousse Pocky (Glico) 2007-03-22 10:53:00 Price : RM9.90Weight : 56gFound : Isetan KLCC*Phew*.... This morning, we (the 2nd sem BPharm students) just had our first class test of the semester. General Pharmacology. Walau! Sooo hard! Actually, if I had spent more time on revising and studying, I wouldn't have my conscience constantly reminding me that my poor confidence in doing well for this paper was all my own doing. :(Anyhow, for cheering ups, I went on sampling one of the many varieties of Japan's most popular snack, Pocky
. This 'humble stick of comfort' is marketed and recognised world-wide. People have grown so fond of this snack that there are hundreds of consumer products in the market nowadays that carry the trademark red box and biscuit sticks with 'POCKY' over them. Jewelry plastic charms, erasers, vinyl bags and button pins are but a few examples. So, today's Pocky is of berry mousse flavoured. I tell you, this is probably the most ridiculously priced snack you can find in Malaysia. I don't know lah, but to m Read more:Berry

JSR #5 : Kinoko Noyama (Meiji) + Apollo Strawberry Chocolates (Meiji) + Strawberry Choc (Meiji) 2007-03-24 08:39:00 Kinoko Noyama (Meiji
) Price : RM9.50Weight : 89g Found : Isetan KLCCMy bubbly buddy Farah came over this morning to use the internet in order to pursue her search for Korean and Taiwanese dramas NGs. We ordered pizza and I shared some Japanese goodness. Literally, I became 'The Chocolate Factory' as Farah put it. :DThe original milk chocolate mushroom biscuits are my all-time favs. But the bitter version is definitely a healthier choice, and with a much more chocolatey taste. If I have to choose, I'd opt for the bitter kinoko. :DApolloStrawberry

Can you feel the LOVE? 2007-03-25 16:36:00 Woke up this morning to a fine warm sunny day. Lazed around for bit. Then decided to do something crafty.Lovely Wall HangingYes, it is lovely - it is made of pink origami hearts. The card stock (brown and red) is actually a card box for cakes, from Secret Recipe. I cut off the top lid for use in this piece. The striped paper is one of the Pocky wrappers I've stashed just a few days ago. And the metallic pink hearts are folded origami-style using the Strawberry Chocs (Meiji) wrappers. :) For hanging and extra touches, I cut strips from a red plastic bag and tied them at the respective places. And the two white strips hanging from the end (attached two hearts) are actually wires that mostly come with new electrical items - used to bind the cables.Yup. This whole thing is made from junk. :D
Strawberries Explosion Kawaii Grabbie 2007-03-30 17:22:00 Yesterday night, I was suddenly very inspired to create more felt crafts. After all, we B1/06 just completed our 2nd class test paper : Pharmaceutics. There are still 3 more weeks to go lah, with 4 more papers. :( *Patience, patience*I had in mind a few days ago to compile a strawberry-themed kawaii grabbie. And I proceeded to make a 2-strawberries embellished felt pin/brooch yesterday night. Continued making 5 strawberry-patch-themed 1-inch felt pin/brooches this afternoon. Included kawaii stickers and origami hearts. :)Check out the listing in my Etsy shop :StrawberriesExplosionKawaii

Probably will make more stuff tomorrow, IF I'm satisfied with my revision-studying outcome! :PTonight, just now, I went with my cell-group friends to a steamboat place at Sunway. Charm Swaps 2007-03-31 17:53:00 I was browsing through my favourite shops on Etsy, and I came across the blog of one of the sellers. Noticed on the side navigation that she joined Just Simply Charming. I clicked on the link and was immediately stunned.....The awesomeness!!!!!How this GORGEOUS bracelet came about? The hostess, Ruth Rae, organised a charm swap sometime late of 2006. There were 24 artists and crafters altogether in this project. Each one of them made 24 identical charms, according to their liking and preference. They then send them all to Ruth, who compiled each of the 24 different charms into a bracelet. There were 20 or so identical bracelets, which Ruth sent out to each of the contributors.I so want this bracelet! The blog dedicated to this project, Just Simply Charming, was written by Ruth, and there are amazing tutorials on how to make each of the charms, contributed by the artists. There are progress reports too. :) Neat eh?Besides this project, Ruth organised an earlier Fabric Charm Swap, also wi
Black + White Fantastic Plastic Charm Bracelet + Kawaii Stationery 2007-04-04 19:13:00 Wah... I just had a difficult test paper today - Organic Chemistry. Actually, the subject itself is not really that hard at all, but as there are a lot of chemical reactions (with the conditions and catalysts and additives and all) to remember for each, my mind just couldn't take in all of that in just one and a half days, after the Physical Chemistry paper on Monday. T-T Anyway, am really happy - super hyper - because I collected 2 packages from the uni's reception counter today! One was a swap from Joanna aka Rainbow Mermaid from the UK. She's one of the few gifted kitsch charm jewelry makers on Etsy. I was lucky enough to swap because she loves kawaii stickers, of which I have bunches and bunches. :) I swapped for one of her FUNKYLICIOUS charm bracelets.I especially like the cat charm and black round plastic charm with a white star. Since this was on sale (buy 1 get 1 free), she asked me to choose another item from that section. I chose a blue enamel butterfly on gold chain neckl Read more:Black

Scrapperdy-do 2007-04-21 03:13:00 Ha..... Finally, our seemingly endless class tests are over!!! Now, our 3-week study break starts, and then it'll be the End-of-Semester exams. T-TThe night before the UTP (Understanding the Patient) paper, my hands were itching like mad for wanting to make stuff. I haven't been doing anything crafty at all for more than 2 weeks or so, and my crafty juices were full to bursting. There was this thought playing over and over again in my mind. Recycling all my scrap felt from leftover cuttings into something beautiful of sale-value. So, here was the stash :I came up with this brooch :Then, yesterday afternoon, I continued making another one; a sea-themed brooch. The 2 rhinestones and little puffy fish was from the swap with Rainbow Mermaid. Click on the pics to go to their respective listing on Etsy, or check out my shop for more stuff. :)
Been Taggedth ~ 2007-04-21 15:21:00 Ok... I'm not sure if anyone other than the person who tagged me and Lynn Xuan will be reading this. Anyway, I'll give this a try.Weird things about meh :1. I can eat chocolate for breakfast, brunch, lunch, tea, dinner and supper.2. I MUST do exercise each day - at least go for a brisk walk or do the hoola. If not, I'll balloon up like SpongeBob sneezing. Yalah, so much chocolate - who cannot get fat la?3. I collect junk - food wrappers, food cans, boxes, metal lids, plastic bags, raffia string, plastic bottles, bottle caps, wire bits, plastic bits, used pens - you name it, I have it. But most of the time, I stash only stuff with attractive designs, or if I plan to do something with them. I wanted to collect old toothbrushes too, but then changed my mind because I scared later dunno what will grow on the brushes. But you know, the handle is so nice? Colourful-colourful one?4. I've been through the addicted-to-Neopets phase. It lasted for 2 years straight, from lower 6 to upper 6,
Mum's Bread Pudding 2007-04-24 06:50:00 Hmm... Nothing much happening today. I've decided to try and finish studying Dr Kang's Physical Pharmacy notes. But of course, I cannot resist making something to eat for lunch. :)I've been wanting to make some desserts, only there really aren't any useful equipments around in my unit. I particularly yearn for an oven. Then, I can bake cakes, make baked macaroni and cheese, bake cookies, bake puddings.Just a few days ago, I had this sudden craving for my mum's bread pudding. It's the BEST among the best. :) And luckily, it is not baked, but steamed.Mum's BreadPudding

I Attack You with Rainbows ~ 2007-04-23 16:12:00 So, before my chocolate lunch on Sunday (as described in the previous post), I made use of the internet-free period to make some of the stuff I've been meaning to make. "I Attack You with Rainbows
" 2 Pins SetHaven't listed it on Etsy yet. Probably will do so when I've sorted out my blog posts and layout. :) Each pin measures about 3 inches across and is backed with a layer of sturdy black felt. See the pale cream plastic thingy shaped like a piece from a jigsaw-puzzle (in the middle of the green-blue star)? It's actually used to secure a bread-loaf bag. :) I've collected quite a number of these as a result of everyday-sandwiches-because-no-time-to-cook. :DI really love making rainbow stuff. :) I feel extremely happy and excited when I look at the completed work. So, then, feeling in need of a good walk, I decided to get myself to Petaling Street after lunch. I just love the atmosphere; food smells, all sorts of odds and ends on display at street stalls, more food, more stuff and of
JSR #6 : Morinaga Chocolates 2007-04-23 14:37:00 Haih... Something extremely bad happened on Sunday. The night before, I downloaded AVG Free from download.com. Ok, then I went to sleep. Sunday morning when I woke up, I couldn't log on my laptop. The darn thing just stubbornly kept 'welcoming' me and wouldn't do anyting else. Dread filled me as I recalled the same incident occurring to Farah after she updated her antivirus using IMU's wireless. Confirmed - it's the virus from the uni's 'Electronic Learning Lab 1' acting up on my hard drive.Ah.... Ah.... AAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!*sorry if it sounds fake; try it at faster intervals; that's how I vent my frustration - accompanied by fist banging on my poor defenseless plywood desk*I didn't know what to do. Farah had her laptop reformatted by the Help Desk people (at uni). If I wanted to do the same, I'd have had to wait until Monday before anything can be done. That's a WHOLE DAY WITHOUT INTERNET ACCESS!!!Then it dawned to me how very addicted I am to the web. I seriously cannot live Read more:Chocolates
Yet More Rainbows + Kawaii Shopping Spree ~ 2007-04-29 07:59:00 Went for a shopping spree yesterday, at KLCC. Actually, I don't really need anything, except some groceries and a much needed walk. Crepe + Apple Raisin Filling = YUM~ 2007-04-26 15:08:00 Relieved myself off the extra energy by making some crepes. The other day, during my afternoon trip to Petaling Street, I managed to grab a packet of all-purpose flour and a 500g pack of granulated sugar. From 7Eleven. Ok, laugh la. But really, I wanted to stock up on raw supplies so that I can cook some stuff, and at that moment, 7Eleven was the only store in sight that sells groceries. But I warn you - never go there purposefully to buy groceries. It'll kill you and your money. You'll end up beating yourself after you see the very same item with only half the price on Carrefour's shelf. :POk then, my self-invented Crepe

Kawaii Cherry Make Me Pretty Grabbie 2007-04-25 17:13:00 Haih..... My current life is so monotonous.Wake up. Oline. Bathe. Try to cram some lecture notes for 2 hours. Cook lunch and eat while onlining for 2 hours. Try to cram more notes. Nap. Wake up and finish off the notes wherever I stopped. Go jogging. Do the hoola. Oline. Bathe. And try to cram yet more notes. Online. Sleep.I'm an internet addict and online freak. Habis habis...Nevertheless, this afternoon, I found a few minutes to make some more stuff. I had this pair of soda bottle cap earrings from VintageNoveau, from whom I bought my gorgeous Vintage CHERRY SODA Bottle Cap Trinket Charm Bracelet (*phew* I SOB). They were just cooped up in a box, not worn at all. So, I had in my mind to create a cherry-themed grabbie. In the first place, I planned to make a embellished star pin to include in the set. However, due to a sudden bout of laziness, I let it pass. I'll conjure up another grabbie sometime this week. :)KawaiiCherry
