For the love of god it happened again! 2007-05-26 07:41:48 aqua bear cd mem Sod the hiatus - I’m procrastinating!
I usually get up at about 11 o’clock, wander round the house aimlessly for a while, have my daily stomach pains, probably should see someone about them oneday and have a shower. I did exactly that this morning only I was a little surprised to see the windowcleaners as I stood naked in the shower. A few minutes later and the cleaner is still cleaning the window. I hear a shout at the bathroom door “ARE THE CLEANERS IN THERE?!” “yes mother they are” - I said as I was trying to hide in the corner of the shower where I hoped they couldn’t see me! If it weren’t for that stupid corner shelf I could have hidden myself more!
And people wonder why I dont like answering the door, and especially why I hide everytime the window cleaners come round and I’m in the house alone. They’ve seen me naked, twice and I really dont want to have to look them in the face!

Firstly look at my lovely rounded edges! I finally twigged how to do exciting things and my next few layouts will be more interesting because of it! Speaking of which as soon as I’ve finished my exams expect lots more wordpress themes to be ported over and then some original ones to be made! I’m thinking of releasing my current layout as a theme too - if anyones interested of course!

I don’t have a shower curtain its just a transparent door with the occassional frosty bit which does fuck all to protect ones modesty. Especially when its designed for people a damn sight taller than me!
I’m back in Canterbury now. I came back monday for my maths exam on tuesday. It was much better than I expected. I thought they’d change the content completely because they’ve done similar things for the past three years but they didn’t! I deliberatly avoided the statistics and probability questions, I could never do probability!
Phew so one exam finished started drinking at 4 in the afternoon! My next exam is Java which is tomorrow. I should have spent yesterday revising but instead I went shopping for my fancy dress outfit. I’m going as a yellow pikmin! Although I’m probably going to end up more of a bee!
I then planned to revise in the evening but we had a house meeting
Artsfest 2007 2007-06-03 08:50:09 aqua bear cd mem Yesterday was Artsfest - I’d been looking forward to it for sometime but I have to say - it was slightly disappointing. I went out and found some people at 2 when it started. There was a live band through out the day which would have been better had they turned the microphone volume up and not the music! We basically just spend the whole day (2-11) sitting on the grass getting steadily more sunburnt and wasted!
Note the Archers and Lemonade - Perfect for a summers day, There was pimms too!
To be honest nothing much really happened throughout the day - like I said we all sat around getting wasted!
The classic photographers cheat of ‘call someones name and when they turn around take their photo’ failed miserably on this one!
So the day wore on - I went back at 7 had a quick nap and some dinner then went back to our little spot. By this point everyone was so wasted the photos got progressively more terrible!

Pikmin and Star Wars 2007-06-10 06:58:19 aqua bear cd mem Phew! I’ve been so busy the last week I’ve hardly had time to sit down! I finished my last exam on monday morning, an hour before everyone else. After the exam we all went into town to a costume shop for wednesday, the plan for the night was to go to the works, a nightclub but they all decided not to go, I went anyway with some other mates. I was pretty drunk, which meant the next day I was mightily hungover! I somehow managed to get into town to go shopping for the next night out, and by about 6oclock I was feeling fine and went to see POTC3! I’ll tell you what I think when I’ve watched the other two again!
Wednesday was my mates birthday during the day we took a road trip ice skating, which was pretty fun! Especially as we stopped off at KFC on the way! Bored, New Layout etc… 2007-06-13 13:37:12 aqua bear cd mem Since the Star Wars exhibition life has been pretty damn boring! I’ve done nothing. When you have exams or things to do you always manage to find something to entertain yourself with, but sods law dictates the minute you haven’t a care in the world, your bored silly. Hopefully the fact I’m going to Canada on Sunday will make the next two weeks more interesting!
I have a new layout - finally! Its the third or fourth layout I’ve made over the past few days. For some reason I can just make complete layouts in a few hours, then hate it and make another one! This one still has a few kinks, I need to validate it, It amazes me how fixated people are on validation these days, a W3C valid site is not necessarily a good site of course one has to use valid markup, which I do, but as long as it works on all browsers, uses ALT codes and image markers for accessability purposes then your site is fine. Now stop bitching about it being non valid OK!

Off to Canada! 2007-06-17 07:08:52 aqua bear cd mem As your reading this I’ll be sitting in Heathrow airport or doing some last minute shopping for some MP3 speakers (which I so desperatly need!) I’m off to Canada
for two weeks.
Our first week will be spent following the tourist trail. I’m ashamed to admit I know sod all about Canada. The only tourist attraction I know of is the CN tower! But thats what the 7 hour flight and a big guide book is all for! By the time I reached China on our first trip last year I’d learn shedloads about their culture - although nothing could have prepared us for passport control in Beijing!! By the second trip my mum and I were so clued up we sailed past the other tourists and blended in quite well with the natives - even if we we’re a bit taller! I was actually tall in China!
We’re heading to Toronto first and spending a day or two there, getting a train to Montreal and again a few days spent there until we get another train to Quebec. Then back to Tor
I’m still a mac whore, honest! 2007-06-16 18:58:22 aqua bear cd mem Its made by Microsoft, it supports DRM, it means something rude in another language and it comes in Brown, but I still want one. A Zune.
My 3rd generation 40gig ipod has more or less given up on life so I’m in need of a new mp3 player but I just don’t like the new ipods. Their all case and not enough screen, but other than the new ipod’s there’s strikingly little choice for a 40gig and up mp3 player. I say mp3 because I’m not really interested in watching movies/tv shows. If I have a clip I want to ’share with friends’ it goes on facebook or my phone.
I’ve been doing some research and other than the Zune the only other viable option (for me) is the Zen Vision W but its all orientated on media which isn’t what I want. Even if the CF slot is mightily handy. I suspect its also massive - not something I could easily carry around. The price also leaves alot to be desired.

I love chips
Drunk, Sober, Stoned - I love chips! I even have a song about them. The tune is similar to Dory’s “just keep swimming, just keep swimming!”, “chips and vinegar, chips and vinegar etc!” I also cover them in salt, ketchup and vinegar. A subweird thing - I don’t like heinz ketchup - not at all vinegary enough!

(and quite frankly it doesn’t make for fascinating writing on my behalf) I’m going to do the rest in summary :). Makes it easier on the poor sick me.
Quebec
An 8 hour train to Quebec from Toronto stopping briefly at Montreal to change trains.
There we’re two fantastic things about the Delta Quebec, one, the food, OMG the food. I do like hot dogs and pizza but sometimes you want some veggies on your plate. I love crunchy green beans. Thank god for the French influence is all I can say. Secondly, the hotel had free internet woo!
The two bad things about Quebec - They all speak french, and I havn’t, since GCSE (which I did get an A for) and well this is kind of good too..but not in this circumstance. My room was 2 floors above my parents round the other side of the hotel (which is shaped like a U) but guess who got all the screaming children on their floor. ARG Its like being at uni all over aga
Canada - Niagra Falls 2007-07-04 18:45:32 aqua bear cd mem After our city tour we did a Niagra falls tour! It was an all day trip there and back in our prison transport.
We made a few stops along the way until we reached the Maid of the Mist where we did our boat trip right up to the falls, their very impressive. It made me laugh how piddly the American falls are compared to the ones on the Canada
side!
They Gave us our complimentary Maid of the Mist raincoats, which I must say are very fetching!
And we got on board (a very wet) boat for our trip very close to the falls. I didn’t see much tbh I was a bit disorientated by the raincoat and the fact that everyone around me was much taller!
When we finally got up onto the top side of the falls it was much more impressive. The water is so fast and there so much of it!
