Graciousness 2008-06-24 19:55:27 Woman 1: (staring) Are those designer prescriptive glasses?

Woman 1: Oh, they look like, oh who’s that designer?
Woman 2: Oh yeah, umm…
Me: Oh really? Well they’re not. I have cancer, and these goggles protect my eyes from my treatments.
Woman 1 & 2: (in unison) Oh, ok….

Vanity 2008-06-28 16:47:41 Definition: Excessive pride in one’s appearance.
25% of my body is covered in white (I’m African American), these areas are my face, neck, chest, arms, legs, and back. I’ve always taken great pride in how I looked. This is not like a zit I can put Clearasil on, and make up to cover it. In fact, [...] Read more:Vanity

Day Two: Psoralen 2008-06-25 18:03:31 So I’m taking this drug 1 hour prior to my treatment. I have searched and searched to learn more about the side effects (long and short term), but have found nothing. All I know is what the pharmacists said, which is what the bottle says, “nausea”. Ok, like come on there have to be more.
Today [...]
Good Reads 2008-07-20 17:05:03 Just in from the bookstore, and found 2 great books that deal with cancer and nutrition. Seems one of the main points is eating food in its most [...] Read more:Good Reads

Blingomatic Baby 2008-07-09 17:00:55 I am sooo excited!
A friend of mine gave me the best gift today - “bling“, for my puva goggles.
I’ve blinged them up - see new header !
Ouch - my head hurts 2008-07-08 21:22:23 Terribly sensitive to sunlight - my skin and eyes (due to the photochemotherapy). If I go outside without my goggles, oh what a headache I get.
Agh, I feel one coming on now - ! Agh!
