Phoenix Rising 2007-07-15 17:17:00 Have just got back from London having suffered train cancellations and delays due to a faulty signal at Slough, resulting in my sister and I being very, very cranky. The reason I went to London was to see the new Harry Potter. I know I know - I'm mad to travel three hours just to go to the cinema but for Pirates and Potter I am prepared to fork out bucketloads of cash I don't have, simply because the cinema here sucks and for HP you simply have to see it in Dolby Stereo on a massive screen and a good atmosphere.I'm tired so will sum up with a simple 10/10. Eating all that popcorn has buggered up my diet though - and I was losing weight too. Read more:Phoenix

End of Story 2007-07-25 03:20:00 I've decided my blog is to come to an end. I haven't been updating much lately except to moan about the miseries of life and that was never my intention. I feel as if I've run out of things to say without covering the same ground, I wish it wasn't so but things aren't good right now. Thanks to everyone who has left messages of support; I've really appreciated them more then you can imagine. Writing is a lonely and frustrating business (had another rejection just a couple of days ago) and it really means a lot when people tell me they have enjoyed something I have written. I write because I can't cope with the real word, I think that's true of a lot of people. To quote from Seinfield,"If I wanted a long, boring story with no point to it, I've got my life!"It's why I'm a writer. Somehow, life just never measures up to my dreams of how it should be. I hope one day it will, even just a little.Thanks again, take care all.Joanna.
