A Smile to Start Your Day 2008-07-02 06:18:00
An older, tired-looking dog wandered into my yard; I could tell from his collar and well-fed belly that he had a home and was well taken care of.
He calmly came over to me, I gave him a few pats on his head; he then followed me into my house, slowly walked down the hall, curled up in the corner and fell asleep.
An hour later, he went to the door, and I let him out.
The next day he was back, Read more:Smile

Does Your Job Fit You? 2008-07-01 13:33:00
I am currently reading "Live Your Calling" by Kevin & Kay Brennfleck.
I've heard from several different people in my lifetime about the "Acceptable, Good, and Perfect Will" of God. In other words, we may do something and it be acceptable in God's Will, and plan for our lives, but there are other things out there that may be closer to the "bulls eye" or the center of His perfect Will.

Today was a typical Monday. Tim takes a majority of the day off from church, and we go and do all kinds of errands. Today consisted of running to the bank, post office, and getting groceries. Grocery shopping with A Hoosier Family often ends up an event, in and of itse

PM Service (aka Prayer Service) has been dwindling. I know that PM Services are a dying breed. I doubt this will come as new information for anyone. But, I also know to hear from God, to allow God move in our church, it all begins with PRAYER! Going without a corporate church prayer time is NOT an option.

Our Tuesday Adventure... 2008-06-25 09:42:00 Let me apologize for taking so long to get this post up! Last night Tim decided to watch "Citizen Kane" that we borrowed from the library. It was our first time to view this movie, and we were up late! I began watching the movie forty minutes into it, which is typical of me. When we finished the movie, and I didn't "get-it", so we went back and watched the beginning. This morning I once again had 1 Read more:Tuesday

Guarding our Tent 2008-06-24 06:08:00 Above is a picture I created in PhotoShop. Tim had this vision (portrayed in this photo) two Sunday nights ago while praying at our Sunday evening prayer service. Being the 'visual' person I am, I immediately saw what he was saying in my mind. This vision has remained at his forefront of thinking and praying these past ten days. We've all heard the saying "A picture is worth a thousand words."
Tomorrow is a BIG day! 2008-06-23 19:42:00 Tomorrow is a Big Day! Two big things will be taking place on Tuesday...1) My husband and I will be traveling to Columbus, IN to see the recent flood devastation first hand. Pastor Don Andreasen from First Assembly of God in Columbus has graciously invited us to come see his church. We will be leaving first thing in the morning, and I will blog more tomorrow afternoon/evening.2) Speaking of tomorr
Sunday Night Reflections 2008-06-22 20:44:00 I've been blessed beyond measure this weekend. While there are some things that are difficult to deal with, I just continue looking to God and thanking Him for His many blessings!Tonight we finalized some plans for Tuesday concerning a visit to First Assembly of God in Columbus, IN. A Special Blog Post 2008-06-21 18:26:00 My youngest "Boom" has been asking me all day if he can write something on the blog. I've had him wait all day, and so here we go (for better or worse)."Yesterday, I told my Mom that a country in Africa was called Zaire. She was looking at a map, and she said there is no such thing as a country named Zaire on this map. Then I pointed and said it's supposed to be right there where it's saying Co Read more:Special

4th Marriage ?!? 2008-07-17 12:35:00 I was watching the local news station doing a piece on an 84 year old lady, because she had just gotten married-- for the fourth time.
The reporter was asking her all kinds of questions. He had asked about her about her life, and what it felt like marrying again at age 84. This led to the reporter asking about her husband, and his occupation.
"He's a funeral director" she said in her frail
Hey Kids, What Time Is It? Part 1 2008-07-17 08:06:00 Those words may sound familiar, if you're old (or knowledgeable) enough. They are part of the famous opening for the Howdy Doody show (1947-1960.) Now, let it be made known... I'm not old enough to remember original airings, but I do remember re-runs as a child.
I found myself running around the house this past Sunday morning asking the same thing. "Kids, what ti
The Ever Growing To Do List 2008-07-16 09:59:00
Many things to wrap up/ complete around here before we leave for vacation next week. We have lists galore around the house to try and keep everything (and everyone) straight.
Yesterday and today it feels as if I'm 'treading' water at best. I'm trying to get stuff done, only to run into more problems and/or think of yet another thing that needs done. (Lord, give me strength and wisdom!)

A Hoosier Family goes grocery shopping in Illinois. Yep. We live close to the Illinois border, and it's just as quick to run over to the nearby big city in IL as it is to go to the next bigger city in IN. We like the drive, and the tax is cheaper in IL. This particular Wally World is less busy, and it's all around a better experience.

Vodcast 2008-07-15 08:29:00

Next week I will have a new vodcast posted each day!

Looking Ahead and Lakeland Florida Outpouring News 2008-07-14 08:11:00
This week is a week of "Looking Ahead". Almost everything we are doing, is concerning vacation. From groceries to tasks, it's all "in light of" vacation.
Why? Because we know what it takes for us to go on a vacation, and what needs done. Example: we don't want to spend money on groceries, it not be eaten before vacation and sit in the fridge and rot while were gone. Another Example: we don Read more:Florida

It's 9:00pm. We get home from being gone 6.5 hours, and what do we have to do??? We have to dry out the rain soaked van seat and floor.
Today was a fun day. This afternoon we left for the nearby bigger city to do some geocaching and get a few errands done. We start off the afternoon with a newly placed cache. Because of it's location, Tim was the only one to get out and look, Read more:Close
Sleepy, Rainy Saturday 2008-07-12 07:28:00
I'm starting off the day a little tired from the week of VBS, and it being the end of the week. The skies are darker than normal, as dark storm clouds are overhead and giving us some rain.
This next week will be busy, as A Hoosier Family prepares for vacation. You know how it is, you must do all kinds of work before hand, in order to go and relax!
