C Programming for Dummies (Me!)
2007-03-13 15:42:39
Hey Guys, As my exam fever is cooling down, I have started learing the programming language “C” from a book called “C for Dummies “. This is the first time I am attempting to learn programming though I know a bit of “Hyper Text Transfer Protocol”(HTML). As I was expecting, it’s really fun to learn C. And the book, as it promises, makes it more fun. If you don’t know any kind of programming, it’s good to begin with C. If you want to learn C all by yourself, then the book “C for Dummies” is a must have!! Click here to download the book. As I was saying, I began reading the book after dinner at 9:00 PM yesterday night. There are so many funny things given in the book, that I didn’t know the time pass by. By 10:00 PM, I had created the first program of my life as a programmer. It was a stupid, basic (more…) Tags: C, for, Dummies, Ebook, E-Book, Program, Programming , Programmer, Basic, Language, Source, Code

8-Gigabyte Memory for Mobile Devices? Ask Samsung
2007-03-12 10:23:18
Samsung Develops 8-Gigabyte Memory for Mobile Devices Samsung Electronics, Korea’s electronics giant, has developed an eight-gigabyte moviNAND memory chip to be used mainly in personal devices requiring high-capacity and fast data-processing functions, the company said Monday. The chip is a new kind of a memory that combines NAND flash and a multimedia card controller, a device needed to activate memory products. Samsung said moviNAND makes it unnecessary to have an external memory card slot in mobile devices, thus reducing their overall size. Currently, the chip with the largest capacity is a four-gigabyte moviNAND. (more…) Tags: Mobile, Memory, Gigabyte, moviNAND, Capacity, Samsung, Multimedia, Flash, Card, Handset

Microsoft fights against Google: A bitter Battle
2007-03-11 14:17:11
Google is being charged with content copying by none other than… Microsoft . They are complaining that Google is copying far too much information, information that many people make a living on. Google’s been trying to make the whole web searchable, everything from books to news to magazines. Although Google has been found guilty in Belgium of infringing copyright laws, it claims that all the content they search now complies with international copyright law. They say that they make sure that the content providers get the revenue and benefits that they deserve. From Google’s humble start, it’s come a long way. It now basically runs the internet, providing many web applications that provide similar functionality to many standalone applications. The idea of running your computer from the web is appealing for the most part, and perhaps this is what helped Google grow in popularity. (more…)

JPEG Photo Format on Its Way Out?
2007-03-11 12:47:06
Microsoft’s new HD Photo format offers higher-quality images half the size of JPEGs, company says. Microsoft Corp. will soon submit a new photo format to an international standards organization that it says offers higher quality images with better compression, the company said on Thursday. The format, HD Photo — recently renamed from Windows Media Photo — is taking aim at the JPEG format, a 15-year old technology still widely used in digital cameras and image applications. Both formats take images and use compression to make the file sizes smaller so more photos can fit on a memory card. During compression, however, the quality of the photo tends to degrade. A day more… for Sanskrit
2007-03-10 13:12:55
Hello there, Day by day, the times are getting harder and harder. The Sanskrit exams are approacing. Being only a day ahead, I’m completely at it, day and night. Thank goodness that there is only a day more for which I will study Sanskrit in my life Phew! Except me, all Sanskrit students of my class go for tutions. I don’t know why, but I have neer felt like going for tutions nor have my parents forced me too. So that’s a disadvantage for me. All my friends have enough training to go thhrough it, but ol’ me has nothing. Another disadvantage is that I have never studied Sanskrit in school before. Till ninth standard, I used to score just pass marks. (more…) Tags: Sanskrit, Classical, Language, Exams, Board, CBSE
