Debt consolidation: a weapon to tame the debt monster
2007-03-19 12:28:00
Today, debt consolidation is a hot topic of discussion in UK. I was browsing through a latest press release and was quite shocked to see that a huge chunk of the British population is struggling with a big pile up of debts.I might not be one of those drowned neck-deep in debts but I do owe multiple debts of reasonable amount. And I am indeed not very happy juggling with these debts. I have a hectic work schedule, and I find it irritating and hassling to spend my valuable time scheduling the debt repayments owed to different creditors.I found the concept of debt consolidation quite appealing. A debt consolidation loan helps a person to get his debts in order, by combining all the pending debts into a single loan. This loan also ensures a more manageable monthly outgoing.Being a homeowner, I think a secured debt consolidation loan will perhaps be a good deal for me, as I would be able to utilise my home equity to avail a cheap means of finance.
