Maybe the most adorable puppy in the world... 2008-06-19 20:37:00 You know all those parents that tell you that their kids are are so much brighter than the other children their age and that they have read the Lord of the Rings by the time they are two, have an above average IQ and can paint like Van Gogh?
Well fear not, I'm sure we'll soon be those same proud parents when it comes to Cooper. You have to agree, he is adorable and maybe the most adorable puppy Read more:Maybe
More images from Jason in New York... 2008-06-18 14:57:00 So Cooper is still adorable and occupying my time 24/7 (and luckily sleeping for longer during the night), but I don't want to overload everyone with puppy pictures every day, so here's a selection of some less familiar images from last week's excursion to New York

Here's one of the attractions I didn't get to visit this time, The Statue of Liberty, seen from afar - it's top of my list for a Read more:Jason
Day 4 in the Big Cooper House... 2008-06-17 15:00:00 Today has been all about being excited, early morning wake up calls, trying to jump up on furniture, trying to eat the iMac cable, piddling and pooping on his training mat and rubbing his snout on every mirror available - welcome to the world of puppyhood.
Last night Cooper
slept through until about 4am, so that's an improvement, but not sure if we can say a pattern is forming yet. He was back Read more:House
It's the Cooper in Hollywood Show... 2008-06-16 22:16:00 OK, I've got a few minute window to give you an update on Cooper
as he's having a well earned nap (if you think he looks tired you should see me at the end of the day!).
Last night wasn't too bad, but we did have a little wimpering around 2am and then took about 45 minutes to wear him out again so he would go back to sleep (and so could we).So 'Squirrel Watch' is officially over and now it's Read more:Hollywood
A new addition to Jason's entourage... 2008-06-14 18:26:00 Presenting our new adorable yellow Labrador puppy...
COOPER!
He was born on the 18th April and he's just turned eight weeks old. This morning we were up at 6am and drove about an hour to choose him. We thought that we'd be choosing from two male puppies, but when we arrived discovered that we had to choose from five of the cuties.
It was so hard to decide, but the breeder knew what to do and Read more:Jason
One man and his rather unconventional dog... 2008-06-13 03:00:00 In honour of the coming weekend when we finally can stop procrastinating about getting a dog and we actually go collect our new golden Labrador puppy, here's a pic snapped at The Farmer's Market at The Grove which I thought was amusing.
One robotic man and his rather unconventional

Man's best friend...
Hopefully I'll be able to post real puppy pictures soon...
Even more utterly fabulous fun at the L.A. Pride Parade... 2008-06-12 03:00:00 I hope you enjoy this new installment of L.A. PrideParade
pictures as much as we enjoyed watching it in person at the weekend.
It's always more fun after you've had a few glasses of bubbly though, so why not indulge in a cocktail or two whilst you peruse these splendid, colourful images...
Jason in Hollywood does L.A. Gay Pride... 2008-06-10 02:01:00 So this weekend in West Hollywood
it's been the 38th Annual Gay L.A. Pride
celebration.
This three day event culminated with the Pride Parade on Sunday 8th June. Aside from being lots of fun and a great big gay celebration, it's also a time to remember that we still need to do so much to end the hate, get equal rights and make the world a better place for all Gay, Lesbian, Bi and Transgender Read more:Jason
Getting ready for puppy... 2008-06-09 15:00:00 In addition to visiting classic car shows this weekend we also needed to prepare for the imminent arrival of our new puppy.
To that end we took a drive to Pet Smart in Culver City. On our shopping list was a very precise list of recommendations from the dog breeder we're getting our puppy from.
So a couple of hundred dollars later we left the store with three trolley loads of goodies Read more:ready
Jason admires classic American cars at The Gilmore Heritage Auto Show, at The Farmer's Market... 2008-06-08 12:13:00 Those who know me know I haven't got a clue about cars, absolutely zero, zilch, nada, which when you think about it is a bit worrying now that I'm driving around in L.A.
However, the most important thing for me has always been what colour a car is.
Imagine my delight when we popped to The Grove on Saturday afternoon and discovered there was a free vintage car show -

Ladders, banks and haircuts... 2008-06-06 16:57:00 I'm sure it's not every day you here those words used in the same sentence, but that was my Thursday.
Yesterday was more than another day of just decorating our condo, as I finally (hopefully) managed to sort out my HSBC American bank account in downtown L.A.
As regular blog visitors will know, I've had all kinds of problems setting up a new American bank account through HSBC. I chose the bank Read more:banks

The weird and wonderful world of L.A.... 2008-06-04 21:43:00 Can you believe it's been exactly three months today that we arrived in L.A.? That's like a quarter of a year. Do all you Brits miss us yet?
As ever I've been keeping myself busy today. I finished off decorating the guest bedroom and started on some more gloss work until the paint ran out.
I took the opportunity to pop out and satisfy my addiction by picking up my weekly comic supply.

Another day, another paint brush... 2008-06-03 20:37:00 I've had another day of decorating today and this time I've been applying my skills to gloss paintwork.
I'm not sure if it's the type of paint we bought, but this semi-gloss doesn't seem to smell at all, unlike the stinky fumes of the gloss paint back in the UK.
It's been quite a productive day and I've just had an invigorating shower, which 70% of you voted that you preferred. Don't forget t
I have a new project, but it all feels a bit like deja vu... 2008-06-02 21:31:00 Can you guess what my new project is yet?
That's right I'm redecorating our new West Hollywood condo. The funny thing is, it all feels a bit like deja vu. We went through this process the last few weeks before we left London when we redecorated our flat in Chiswick in order to leave it in pristine condition for our new tenant.
With everything else we needed to do for the relocation overseas and

Taking the plunge... 2008-05-31 12:00:00 Or should that be hunting for a plunge
r? So not even having been in our new flat a full month yet, I thought I'd broken the garbage disposal.
Since we've been in the U.S. everyone has been telling us to put everything down the waste disposal. So thinking we were doing the right thing we've been merrily flushing every bit of vegetable peeling and food left-overs down the In-sink-erator.

I'm out of bed and dressed, what more do you want? 2008-05-29 21:33:00 You know sometimes when you can't help but smile? I saw this image on the side of a shop on Melrose Avenue and couldn't resist snapping away. It's amazing what you see on your travels in the City of Angels. Today was comic day (delayed by one day because of the Bank Holiday), so it was my usual walk of shame along Melrose to pick them up. Soon I will be like every other Los Angelino (is that
The story so far and maybe a glimpse of the future... 2008-05-28 19:56:00 All is right with the world and the sun is shining once more in West Hollywood after a dreary Memorial Day weekend.
After being a social butterfly at the weekend (although flagging by Monday), the last few days have been quieter and maybe a time for reflection.
So what exactly have I achieved since I've been here in L.A.?
Moving here from London was a pretty major step for us, not just moving Read more:glimpse

There's nowt as queer as folk... 2008-05-26 12:31:00 So after a pretty much sleepless night, due to god knows what, here's another instalment of your favourite Hollywood blog.
On Saturday we had another celebrity sighting, this time at the Arclight Hollywood (probably going to see Indiana Jones too). We saw the actor, Robert Gant, who played Professor Ben Bruckner in 55 episodes of the U.S. version of Queer as Folk.

Jason does D.I.Y. or just call me Martha... 2008-05-23 12:07:00 Martha Stewart, that is! Yes, Hollywood's most glamourous and most Welsh house-husband works his magic on our new West Hollywood condo. More Crate & Barrel furniture deliveries, a spot of TV stand assembling and lots of cleaning up of those annoying white Styrofoam bits that get everywhere. The result, a home fit for a king, or dare I say a couple of queens? Martha would be so proud! So yesterd Read more:Jason

Kristi Yamaguchi is the first female contestant to win Dancing with the Stars... 2008-05-22 12:02:00 It was inevitable really that Kristi Yamaguchi, a former World Champion and Olympic figure skater was going to do well in the sixth season of ABC's Dancing
with the Stars, but even after the first show you could tell she was going to win.
Kristi Yamaguchi, along with her professional dance partner Mark Ballas (how happy must he be about his career now?), was the season six winner after ten weeks
Vote for your favourite cocktail... 2008-05-21 17:45:00 As we're nearing the long weekend (it is Wednesday after all), don't forget to exercise your right to vote and let me know what your favourite cocktail
is.
I feel torn between a sparkling Kir Royal or a sophisticated Cosmo. My other favourite would be a Vodka (Ketel One or Grey Goose) and Coke (full fat) aka 'Jokey-Cola'. However, we're not talking mixers and spirits here, we're talking honest
The story so far... 2008-07-03 20:12:00 As it's the four month anniversary of our adventures here in L.A., I thought I'd give everyone a recap so they knew what fun we've been getting up to.
Aside from celebrity spotting and discovering great places to eat out in L.A. we've done all kinds of things...

Dog-Blog: More cute puppy pictures... 2008-07-02 20:59:00 Enjoy the cute puppy pictures of cooper while you can, as I can already see the difference between when we first brought him home and how he looks now.Not much to report today, aside from surviving another solo driving outing in the "Jason-mobile" (I've not officially named my car yet, so that will have to do for now!) to pick up some curtains for our bedroom at Crate & Barrel at Th
Dog-Blog: Six weeks of solitary confinement left to go... 2008-07-01 20:47:00 So only another six weeks until Cooper can go out and face his public, but can I survive that long before I go stir crazy?
Due to my housebound puppy-sitting duties I've watched three seasons of Doctor Who so far on DVD, I still chuckle when they try and pass off parts of Cardiff as London. I'm wondering what to watch next. Will it be Torchwood, Heroes, Supernatural, Alias, Battlestar
Even more great places to eat in L.A.... 2008-06-30 16:04:00 I always think personal recommendations of cafes, bars and restaurants are really useful, so here are some helpful ideas if you want to eat out in West Hollywood or some other areas in L.A., whether you're visiting or a local who wants to try something different.
Even though our new pup, Cooper, is keeping us fairly house-bound at the moment we have been trying to get out as much as possible (so
Celebrity spotting in L.A. - the round-up of star spotting so far... 2008-06-29 12:48:00 In honour of the fact we've nearly been living in L.A. for four whole months now (time flies doesn't it), I thought I'd do a round
