Gore first came to my attention in the mid- to late-80s when bigged-up by the self-styled “Arsequake League” (the Stud Brothers, Simon Reynolds, David Stubbs et al) at Melody Maker (check Reynolds’ Blissblog for a brief reminiscence on Gore). The Arsequakers’ recommendation (they had after all turned me on to the “New Sonic Architecture” of the Young Gods) coupled with supposed citings by the likes of New York noisemongers Swans, Foetus, and Sonic Youth, and Steve Albini involvement (he co-recorded third album “Wrede (The Cruel Peace)”), convinced me that Gore was something that I absolutely had to hear. The closest I’d come to laying my hands on some Gore was finding one of their albums in a second-hand record store in London several years

VIAJE A 800myspace "Viaje a 800 comenzó en 1996 tocando música sucia y desafinada (2 guitarras y batería ). Después de varios conciertos caóticos, nos separamos volviendonos a unir en el invierno de 1997. KHANATE Myspace Fans Myspace Fans 2 Khanate was an extreme doom metal supergroup that brought together James Plotkin and Alan Dubin, two members of the defunct band OLD, as well as Tim Wyskida (of Blind Idiot God and Manbyrd) and Stephen O'Malley (of Burning Witch and Sunn O))) fame). It was rather similar, maybe an evolution, of O'Malley's previous band Burning Witch. The band produced songs that usually exceeded the 10 minute mark, and were characterised by long, almost decayed time signatures, and harsh layers of feedback combined with vocalist Alan Dubin's torturous vocals, consisting of extremely painful shrieking and screaming. One of the most original and innovative bands in the field of doom metal, Khanate took the roots of blues/hard rock/doom, extracted from them the fundamental elements and combined them in their own way. Sourvein were originally from Wilmington, North Carolina (aka Cape Fear). Back then they were more of a (self described) "MDC meets My War-era Black Flag meets the Melvins". In 1994 Sourvien did the "30 Days of Roadkill" USA tour with Anal Cunt, Eyehategod, the Candy Snatchers and Buzzoven. This spawned a split 7 inch with Buzzoven. In 1996, singer T-Roy joined Buzzoven on samples and back-up vocals, which he did till they split up in 1998. T-Roy then moved to New York City and started jamming with Liz Buckingham who was the riffslayer in New York's 13, leaders of the New York doom/crust underground. GUAPO is a British experimental rock/art rock band consisting of drummer/percussionist Dave Smith, multi-instumentalist Daniel O'Sullivan, guitarist Kavus Torabi and bassist James Sedwards. Smith and O'Sullivan also play in Miasma & the Carousel of Headless Horses (who released the debut album "Perils" on Trey Spruance's Web of Mimicry Records).
