Fujistu’s long-running and questionably-named Handy Drive line of external drives got a bump today with the Handy Drive 400. As you may imagine, the 400 packs 400GB of storage on a 4200rpm platter and connects via USB 2.0. The entire, sleek case measures just 82 x 141.5 x 22mm and weighs in at 230g. Swashbot sashays his way into our hearts
2008-06-06 04:54:09
Most bug-inspired robots do a much better job of creeping us out than giving us the warm fuzzies, but this here Swashbot R/C robot from Crabfu is just too cute for words. It kind of looks like he’s trying to find his little robot buddies so they can sing a song about slushies before nap time, while simultaneously dragging a cinder block behind him. You know, cute. Video is after thebreak.

X-mini Capsule Speakers
2008-06-05 09:09:20
Here comes a pocket-sized savior for laptop owners who have so far been used to the tinny sound their small speakers put out. The X-mini runs the danger of being overlooked, for it is tiny. I'm normally critical of anything that looks suspiciously small (and therefore presumably incapable of driving sound), but in this case I was happily proved wrong. Indeed, I was pleasantly surprised by its perf

Creative MuVo T200
2008-06-02 22:20:03
At first glance the Creative MuVo T200 does not look particularly flamboyant. It’s a tiny black rectangular DAP that perhaps wouldn't even catch your eye while window-shopping. In a city like Mumbai, I've noticed that most gadgets bought by non-techies predominantly involve a combination of touch, feel, and what's being promised at face value. In this regard the MuVo fails big time. Its performa

A Beginner's Guide to Savage 2 - An Overview
2008-06-02 22:02:10
Even after playing a ton of online shooters including strategy/shooter hybrids like Natural Selection, it took me a while to get the hang of Savage 2: A Tortured Soul; so I can only imagine how unnerving it must seem to someone new to the genre. While the game seems complex on the surface, when you begin to dig deeper you realize that it’s based on very simple principles. In this guide, I’m go

Thanko Launches Solar Chargeable DAP
2008-06-02 21:52:49
Having a good battery life is one of the primary things one would look for when buying a DAP, or for that matter any other portable device. But I’m sure there’d still be a time when you’d probably forget to charge it before a trip and end up with a dead battery. Thanko has managed to devise a viable solution for that problem with their new Solar Digital Audio Player. This new DAP comes with a

The iPhone will soon have an alternate video player that, with any luck, will offer a solution to always having to use iTunes to convert and transfer videos. Zodttd has developed an iPhone VLC player that will also work on the iPod Touch. Of course the player is still being tested and comes with only a few decoders as of now but that will change over time as the developers will no doubt increase t

2008-06-09 08:51:46
If Christian Dior’s $5,000 handset just wasn’t rich enough for your blood, hopefully the crocodile skinned, Swarovski-covered iteration will put a sizable enough hole in your bank account to make you feel sufficiently important. Reportedly dubbed Lady Dior, the ModeLabs-created mobile features a 2.6-inch QVGA display, 2-megapixel camera, 640 Swarovski stones and absolutely nothing really worth

Movon MK20 Handsfree Car Kit
2008-06-10 23:22:07
My first impression of the Movon MK20 was that it's a glorified handsfree device. I may not be completely wrong in my judgment, but I most certainly do not think it’s a waste of my time. On the contrary, I've had much fun at the expense of my phone bill. Simply put, the MK20 is a device that can be used to place and take calls without having to touch your phone at all. Of course, the use is limi
