When did it begin?
The UEFA European Football Championship is the main football competition and has been held every four years since 1960. Originally it was called European Nations Cup until 1968 when it gained the name of European Football Championship (well everybody knows it as “Euro 2008″, or whatever year is corresponding).

Cannavaro out! Gamberini in exchange

Fiorentina’s defender Alessandro Gamberini will replace injured Fabio Cannavaro in Italy’s team for the final tournament. He will at least assist, but probably play against his colleague from Fiorentina, Adrian Mutu (striker).
