Adobe Photoshop CS3 Tools for Photo Authentication 2007-03-09 05:02:48 Adobe
Systems’ Advanced Technology lab has developed two tools for image authentication. Clone Tool Detector, which determines whether a section in a picture, has been recopied from another part of the picture. It is difficult to predict if two images are cloned, but this tool will say if they are “improbably similar”.
Truth Dots, determines whether pixels are missing from a photo, a sign that the image has been cropped. This cannot be detected by the human eye by zooming the images.
These plugins could be added in the new version of Photo

, called CS3, which will be announced at the end of March. If so, it would be great for sites like eBay where bidders/buyers can distinguish between real and copied/altered images or for image copyright issues proliferating on the internet!

How to Upgrade from WordPress 2.1.1 to 2.1.2 2007-03-08 01:30:53
You all know why:
Deactivate all the plugins before you upgrade.
Go to ‘Manage’, then to ‘Export’, then click on the button which says ‘Download Export File’.
Upload all the files and folders, except the wp-content, the reason being it has all your plugin and theme files, so there is no need to replace them as it is not corrupted.
Although the files in wp-includes are most susceptible to hacks, the reason why we upload even wp-admin is because wp-admin has upgrade.php file in it.
Go to http://www.yoururl.com/wp-admin/upgrade.php and click on the link that says ‘Upgrade WordPress’.
Activate all the plugins again.

Users who visit websites running on the same server as the compromised WordPress software are not likely to be at risk, but people running the websites (with WordPress software) and running the servers (controlling WordPress), must block access to theme.php and feed.php.
While, some users might have been affected as there are thousands of WordPress downloads everyday, the good news is that the bad news comes with an alternative, WordPress 2.1.2, a new Version that includes minor updates and entirely verified files. Save yourself from attackers now and upgrade to 2.1.2.

Currently Google invests heavily in huge data centers and networks to expand the range and depth of its Web services. In 2006, Google purchased the most popular Video Sharing site YouTube for a whopping $1.65 billion. What’s left to invest in? If other big companies are going to Google, should Google bother to go to other companies? If yes, where?
Initially risks were taken and they paid off, now its time to retain the numbers that investors are clinging on to.
