Friday Freebie Giveaway
2008-08-01 06:00:00
I'm switching things up a bit today. Instead of my typical digital freebie, let's have a giveaway. :)A couple weeks ago I received a package from Autumn Leaves for winning the May Designing with 2008 contest at Two Peas in a Bucket. I had requested the Winter Garden line for my prize. Autumn Leaves was extra generous this time and I want to share my good fortune with two lucky readers.Winner

On the Mend
2008-07-31 06:00:00
When Trent & I returned from our weekend trip, I found a message from my Dad that my grandfather had fallen and broken his hip on Sunday morning. The break was far enough up that he had joint replacement surgery on Tuesday. It went well and rehab has begun. Yesterday morning they got him up and moving a bit. Things are slow going, but that's probably to be expected. My sweet Calendar Girl

This Fence is Made for Walking
2008-08-16 07:00:00
Earlier in the week we caught a neighbor's cat perched on top of our fence. He was just hanging out on one of the front corner posts. My best guess is he was bird watching or interested in the catnip I was growing on the backside of the fence below him. Thursday morning I glanced up from my kitchen sink thinking I saw a squirrel out of the corner of my eye. That is a normal scene near our bird

New American Crafts Products
2008-08-12 06:00:00
I rarely get new scrapbook products fresh off the press. Fact is, it's new to me regardless and, well, I'm cheap thrifty. LOL I have a very hard time rationalizing paying full price for something I can get for 50% - 75% off in a few months. However, on Sunday while shopping at Archiver's (with my coupons, of course!), I stumbled across the new products from American Crafts and a few found thei

Mitch's Tavern
2008-09-11 06:00:00
It's been a few years since I climbed those wooden stairs into Mitch 's Tavern on Hillsborough Street. If you've never been to Raleigh, it still may look and sound familar - a bar scene for the movie Bull Durham was filmed there in the late '80s. Trent & I dropped in last night for a surprise gathering for a friend's birthday. A fun night filled with good friends, a few drinks, lots of laug

Ladies Night Out
2008-09-09 06:20:00
Each month a group of women from our church enjoy Ladies Night Out. It's become so popular that the men have started their own group so as not to feel left out. ;) At any rate, last night we met at a fun spot in the Five Points area of Raleigh - NOFO at the Pig.
