Rancid dog, Bali. 2008-05-29 07:00:00 They say Bali is Island of the Gods. It’s also Island of the dogs. There are reports that as many as 12,000 ownerless Bali street dogs.
Waiting nearby every Hindu offering is a dog. Its paradise for a stray dog.
Ive seen some ugly animals in my life…but they have nothing on this dog; Patchy hair, war wounds and wack eyeballs. Rabies time bomb.
Would you hug this dog for US$100 ?

Monkeys! 2008-06-03 05:07:00 You got to watch out with the monkeys in Bali, they harass visitors for food and often will steal your sunglasses, camera and anything else they can get away with.These road side monkeys were relatively save.

A village in Singaraja, Bali (2) 2008-06-02 01:50:00 So we took a walk around the back, passing rice fields, wineries (??), fighting cocks, a woman offering to the gods and villages having a bath..hehe..a tours given courtesy of the local kids.

Temple in Tabanan, Bali 2008-06-04 17:56:00 A hindu temple in Tabanan, Bali. It is one of less touristy temples of the island One stipulation to entering this temple was we had to wear sarongs. There were a few other rules of who was allowed in, see the sign board below. A lot of the signs were in Indonesian, English and Dutch.

Beratan Lake, Bedugul, Bali 2008-06-09 05:33:31 Beratan Lake is only a shallow lake, apparently the deepness point its only 22 meters. Visitors can do various water/outdoor activities like parasailing, fishing and canoeing. We just ate :-D
We paid Rp 5,000 each for these photos…pssh, everything has a price in bali.
Ku De Ta, Bali 2008-06-11 04:49:52 Ku De Ta, Seminyak, Bali is pretty awsome place to be during sunset. At night they’ve got spotlights to the ocean. pretty epic. This spot rages with the carefree laughter of the ridiculously rich…them not us :-D

Potong Gigi Ceremony, Bali (4) 2008-05-25 05:15:00 We went out for a about two hours to check out old temples nearby, when we came back we were in time for the last stage of the ceremony, the gamelan would have been playing for 5 hours by now. Potong Gigi Ceremony, Bali (2) 2008-05-25 05:02:00 After all the participants got their teeth filled and the guests had a grand feed the ceremony continued..I didn’t know exactly what was going on but what i saw they continued with more offerings, blessings and symbolic activities like cutting hair and donations. About seven went through the ceremony, these two looked the happiest.
