Interview with the IndiCast team
2007-03-29 20:29:19
Podcasting, a form of blogging but with voice. As it is new, many people don’t know about it and it is also rare in some countries and India was also one of them. But now Indians are talking a bit interest. This made Aditya Mhatre and Abhishek Kumar start the IndiCast. Also, in one line, Indicast is India’s first multi person podcast which provides opinions on current affairs and events from across the world affecting India and mix it with a tinge of street smart humor; a pleasant deviation from the monotonous nature of conventional news mediums. IndiCast won the award of best Indi-Podcast of IndiBloggies 2006 and have won many titles. They have shown a big success in podcasting and have inspired many to podcast.   Now here I took an interview of the IndiCast team on IM and here it is … What made you start podcasting? We both have known each other for almost 6 years since senior college days at Podar College of Commerce & Economics. We parted ways to do our

2007-04-17 02:38:30
Snap Preview Anywhere is no more. OK it can be said in a different manner. Snap Preview Anywhere is now Snap Shots with a intro to some new features. Snap Shots works exactly like Snap Preview Anywhere and you don’t even have to update your java-script. Snap says … With Snap Shots, we’ve taken everything we’ve learned from making Snap Preview Anywhere, everything you’ve told us, everything you liked and disliked, and we made it better. A lot better. Snap some days back conducted a contest in which the user have to submit tips to Snap and win prizes. Now to Snap it was something big. They got a lot of suggestions regarding categorized shots and so there are here with it. Now if you have a link to any Wikipedia page, the snap shot of it will be different. Same with videos, if there is a link to any Youtube video the snapshot of it will be embed with the video. If you link to any mp3 file, the snapshot will have a music player in it. Same with stock websit

And now, Microsoft said that a beta test of the highly anticipated Halo 3 game will be available May 16 on its wildly popular Xbox Live online gaming service. The testing phase(beta) of the much awaited game supports online competition that has made the game more popular, and increased its ‘replayability’(excitement while starting over, after having completed the game once). It will end on June 6. Halo 3 is expected for holidays, as have so many of Microsoft’s other announcements. Mas

You are starting a blog. No, make it a nice blog, with a cool design, not to mention your extraordinary writing skills. These are probably the most important factors in deciding the success of a blog in its early days. There are several questions that you need to answer, inorder to be consistent in what you do. One of those questions that beginners in blogging often face is how often you will post. Sure, you read in every “blogger’s guide” that regularly updated content improves your readership and search rankings. So you decide that you will post often - at least once a day. But let me ask you this question : in the early days of a blog, are there enough readers to justify the time and effort you spend? Unless you are something sensational(ie. celebrity), the definitive answer is no. But, if you decide that you will not post regularly, you could lose your readers. What is the value of a blog without loyal readers? In recent surveys, most notably the one conducted by D

But these days, domains are being manupulated. People buying to many domain names ( called Domaineers ) and then selling them for high rates - Good or Bad? People are buying domains hapazardly and selling them at auctions for a big price. Daniel from Daily Blog Tips onced asked me that why I bought a domain name with my name for this blog, the answer is I can’t get any good domain left and those who were available at auctions were too costly for me to buy. Its a fact now, as this manupulation of domain names are increasig, people are buying hundreds of domain names and parking them, selling them after sometime for big rates. :O For many this is not a topic to even think but for some its a major issue.
