Ancient Kaal Bhairav Statue 2008-05-26 06:58:00 This is the ancient statue Kaal Bhairav known as the care-taker of Nepal. King Pratap Malla in 1775 Nepal Sambat brought it from Raniban and established at his courtyard, Hanuman Dhoka. The Bhimsen tower -- DHARAHARA 2008-06-03 14:54:00 The minaret like Bhimsen Tower,(dharahara in nepali) situated in Sundhara is a nine storey (50.2m) tall tower. It was built in 1832 AD by the then Prime Minister Bhimsen Thapa. It has a spiral staircase inside of 113 steps with a circular balcony on its 8th floor providing a panoramic view of the whole Kathmandu valley. I was having my lunch and just then the sight of this beautiful village calmly settled on a hill near the Trishuli river isolated from the urban amenities , pollution and the hecticness , lured me to capture it on my n95 .
