I hate noisy toys! 2007-04-06 05:47:01 I think every parent does actually. Someone wanted to get Mini Buff one of those Popper things. You know, the one you roll around and the little thing inside clicks and throws the little balls around? OMG I will shoot the first person that brings one of those into this house. As if I don’t get enough of a headache from the yelling and screaming as it is. Right now all I have to deal with is a talking phone and a singing turtle. The turtle isn’t so bad. But the phone is irritating.
We also have some of those toys that wake you up in the middle of the night when you’re sleeping. Those ones that go off on their own and scare the shit out of you and give you a heart attack. Tickle Me! Elmo. Talking dashboards (those steering wheel things…we have 3). And a talking Thomas. All of them at different times of the night decide to wake up and go, “Hey, how can we make her shit her pants tonight?” I’m gonna start sleeping with a butcher knife, because I

He was born Sept. 20 2005 (Was it 2005?)
He’s 2 (And yes, the Terrible Two’s have struck!)
He ain’t dumb in any way/shape/or form.
He likes to throw tantrums if you tell him no.
He’s getting too big too fast. It makes me sad.
He loves cars and trains and will horde his matchbox cars if anyone even steps one foot near them. It’s actually very funny to watch.
He loves to watch his Thomas movies…over and over and over.
He does the same thing w/Bob the Builder.
When we go to the bookstore, he know’s exactly where he is, and where the Thomas toys are.
He is showing signs of being into computers (say’s Big Buff) but I think it’s only because I use them and he see’s that. But it would be neat to have another geek in the family.
He loves music and dances to it every chance he gets.
If he ever own’s a drumset when he is older, I am buying a house w/a garage. I guarentee you he will.

Best Friends Forever? 2007-04-07 10:06:14 Who’s your best friend? Mine is Sarah. We have kinda lost touch since I moved away all those years ago. I say that, because I don’t remember exactly how long ago it was.
We used to hang out all the time. Me, her and our friend Eva. I think we were once referred to as “The Three Musketeers”. In classes, school trips, weekends, it was always us. We used to write these stories called Super Triplet Chronicles. They were started by Sarah, but all three of us would come up with ideas on how to continue them and such. We used teachers we liked, boys, and/or celebrity’s. I think one of my “lovers” was once Lancelot (aka Richard Gere).
I miss those days. I wish I hadn’t moved. I wanted to much to go thru High School with them, and we would be together all the time. But once school was over, we all went our separate ways. Our Love Story 2007-04-09 20:32:04 I met my husband in highschool. (I guess the highschool sweethearts thing really is true.) I was one grade below him so that made me…10th grade and him 11th grade. We were insperable (sp?). And the teachers were on us a lot about it. It was kinda funny.
So, all thru highschool we were together. Then he graduated and started working for the school. So he would pick me up after school, take me home, visit a while, then go to work. Then I graduated. And started college. So then he would take me to school, sleep while I was in class, take me home, and go to work.
A couple month’s later, I moved in with him because he had gotten his own place. And it just went from there. We enjoyed dating life, we had Mini Buff, and then we got married. Well, got married while I was pregnant. And we’re still together. Not much of a love story, but we love eachother.
Is there any “me” time anymore? 2007-04-10 18:59:57 I’ve been so busy with Mini Buff these days that I have had no time for my site at all. Sure, I’m online every day, all day (almost), but I’m never really actually at my desk. We have to many Matchbox cars to play with, and too many diapers to change, and to many sippy cups to fill. Don’t get me wrong, I have fun. I love spending time with my son. But lately, he’s been getting more and more needy and I’ve had no time for myself.
I’ve been meaning to visit this site since she did a post on my site to give me some “linky lurve”. As well as other sites. *stares blankly at postie blogroll* Sigh. So much to do, so little time. I need a vacation.

Design Blues (again) 2007-04-12 05:32:37 I’ve had this layout up for months. Even with my old domain (which still directs to this site). I want to change it. And I do not want to use a “premade” theme. I want something unique to me. But no matter how hard I try, I come up with nothing. I know what you’re going to say.
“Why not buy/purchase a custom template/theme.”
Because I cannot afford to give some designer $200.00 to make a layout that looks like everyone else’s with different pictures. (No offense to the people who do purchase their themes.) I’ve been reading around, and some say that sometimes your design can hold you back from a good ranking and potential visitors. I’m beginning to think that’s completely true. Look at this place. It’s a mess!! I blame it on Amanda. She got me into the whole “Get your page ranks up!!”. I gotta stop obsessing over that. The All Nighter And More 2007-04-14 11:23:37 I’ve pulled an all-nighter. My mailbox keeps dinging and I’m about to rip off my ears. I’d turn off the sound, but I’m listening to the XM thru AOL Radio. I’ve been getting comments, chats, spam…all kinds of annoying shit. I’m to tired to listen to anymore dinging.
Mini Buff and I spent the day yesterday coloring in the book my mom got for him. It’s one of those Crayola coloring books that come with the special markers. You know, the ones that don’t color anything but the paper? Man those are a godsend. We had to take all his crayons away because he was putting his “artwork” all over the walls, my desk, the tv, and my monitor. It’s always a treat to wake up in the morning to a living room full of toddler art on everything you own. Anyway, his book is almost full. I’m gonna have to show him how to use the fingerpaints on his Winnie the Pooh coloring book. Also paint on paper only. Crayola loves us parents. T
Giving Love to Malin 2007-04-13 23:22:31 I have been visiting Infektia.net a lot lately. Well maybe not a lot. Honestly I could say every other day. She always has new stuff to read, and everytime I visit her site, I find something new and interesting. When I first went to her site (I think it was her site) a couple years ago, it was a web directory. Don’t quote me on that tho. It’s been a while. But then I saw her pop up in a blogroll somewhere, and I thought, “Hey! Why not give it another visit after so long.”
Her design is awesome. Simple, clean, and not to cluttered with stuff. The colors are fantastic as well. (Am I sounding pathetic yet?) But what I like best about her site is the interactivity with the visitors. She has all kinds of things such as Mutual Reviews (her way of giving “Linky Love”), Book Reviews, Articles and Resources, and lots of other stuff. And her posts are always a great read to. I found it over at Lisa’s blog and I requested she interview me since I believe he interviewed her. And this is an interesting kind of meme because you have to request to participate. And it can keep going and going. There is no one day to do it. It’s kinda like a chain.

1. I have the same problem you have regarding bedtime with my 3 year old. What are some of things you are trying and are they working?
Well, I have been trying baths before bed, warm milk, laying down with him until he sleeps, but nothing is working. My mom says be firm and don’t give into him, just make him do it. But since he can get out of his bed (we took the bars off the crib because he would scream bloody murder) it’s kinda hard to make him. So, yea, I’m trying them, but they aren’t working.
