2008-05-24 08:31:00
Now don't get me wrong, I really like birds. Just not on the porch. You remember I put a bird house on the corner column where the birds kept trying to build? That went well. They built on top of the birdhouse. I should have baby birds and more bird poop soon. Then we had more birds trying to build on the porch ceiling fan and I had to keep the fan running for days to keep them off. Then they start

The Last Georgia Peach
2008-06-01 03:53:00
Good Morning,Last fall my husband wanted to cut down what is left of this little peach tree.I couldn't do it. It still had some life left in it. It is one of two dwarf peach trees we planted about 12 years ago. The small tree has survived drought after drought, late freezes and frost, insects and storms. The little gal just didn't do as well as her sister tree did.She has put up a good fight. I am

My Life with Birds

I now co-exist with the birds. Birds love me, or at least love my front porches. Now these birds didn't hatch in the nest on top of the birdhouse here. I can see at least 4 birds up there. They hatched from the bottom porch in a hanging basket. They have been kicked out of their nest to make room for new eggs and they just sit up there on that nest. I don't know what has happened to the bird that b

Hey Everyone,Did you miss me?? I missed you all. It has been a hectic summer so far. First, my Mother is still in the hospital but seems to be doing fine. Things will get better, I am positive.I fell and broke my camera, so I wanted to see if it would still work. My

Good Morning,This is a story of a family who built their house the hard way. Doing it their own selves. No architect, no draftsman.
