- I've read that black onyx is the 'mystical' birthstone for the month of December and given on 7th year anniversaries. I have some green onyx & blue in stock and I'm looking forward to creating with it. Blue is actually a blueberry color I plan on having some fun with. Ear Threads 2006-07-15 04:18:00 Black Onyx and Blue Quartz brio ear threads. Wire wrapping a briolette: Well, I've dumped the idea that I was going to come up with my own unique way of making a cool wrap for a brio. I twisted the wires (don't do it), etc.... The best tute I've found is: http://www.oursimplejoys.com/jewelry/articles/howto-crystal-heart-wrap.html at Ruby Bayan's site a while back, the link has been posted on the right. What I do with these is cut about a 3 1/2" piece of 24G HH wire, leave about one inch on one side and the rest on the other (start with 4" and use cheap wire to practice). Then pinch the wires together with your fingers, gliding them from the fat side. Get it as even as possible with the point. I use my nails to pinch them together. Use a 4mm bead with a hole big enough for the two wires. Cut the shorter side so that your 4mm bead hides it. I then put a 2mm bead to top off the bigger hole in the 4mm bead. Big Bling Earrings 2006-06-03 03:32:00 So, if you've watched the award shows and waited to see what all the celebrities have been wearing around their necks... what did you see? I saw nothing! nada! These are bubblegum jade faceted briolettes with swarovski crystals with an aurora borealis finish. Actually, most of my crystals have the 'AB' finish. The AB finish adds more dazzle. I hope to have the new earring section done soon! Next, a design that I think I will feature for awhile on the site. This is a staple piece that should be in everyones wardrobe. The particular pearls used in these are oval shapped FW pearls that are big & beautiful. I will try to get more of these in the future, but I only have a limited amount of them for now. They range from 7 - 8 mm and have a beautiful luster rich finish. This design, named "Your Beautiful", will also come in Cosmo Jet crystals and Black onyx gemstones.
