Future Posts and Stuff 1970-01-01 00:59:59 I pondered for several days about the lack of communication from the Holy Spirit or my personal guide regarding the future content for this blog. Suddenly I had one of those "Eureka" moments. I remembered I have tons of thoughts, experiences, and stories saved up from all those zillions of years I've been on the path. Well...maybe it ain't zillions but sometimes it seems like it. Anyway, I've gone through all this stuff over a period of years and now it's time to share some of it.I have spent much time in both Metaphysical and Christ-centered spirituality. What I post here will reflect this. Since I work in both areas some posts will concentrate more on one and some on the other. They can all work together and should. This also goes for all of humanity. We're on this earth together and we need to honor and love each other. The next post, which is only a few days away, will mark the beginning of my regular postings. I hope you'll find them interesting.Until then,Be Joyful! Read more:Future
Christians, New-Age, and Me 1970-01-01 00:59:59 I've been asked more than once by Christians
about New-Age teachings. Because I was deeply involved in New-Age and even an ordained minister of a New-Age religion for many years I guess people think I have knowledge of all the strange and weird things that they believe makes up New-Age.A common belief is that all New-Age is demonic. Well, I have a news flash for you. It is not! Most New-Agers I've been around are sensible and caring people. They are filled with love for God and for their fellow man. In fact they have a better handle on this than most Christians I know. To be sure there are some dark areas in New-Age but Christianity certainly has it's share of them too.As for strange and weird things, they exist only in the imagination of those persons who believe what they've been told. The concepts I dealt with in New-Age were quite straightforward in their manner of connecting with and worshiping God. The higher initiates in my group actually thought I was weird. My mystical in
A Wild Pot of Stew 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Hi folks. Welcome to the journal. There's so much I want to write about that I don't know where to start. I think maybe a little about the twists and turns I've negotiated on the spiritual path might be in order. As I mentioned in the profile I was born in 1939. I was raised in the Methodist Church. My mother's side of the family was mostly Methodist. My father's side was Presbyterian except for my grandfather who basically wanted no part of any church and became a Mason. One of my aunts was Baptist and another was Episcopalian. On my 21st birthday I created a big family stink by announcing I was converting to Catholicism. You would have thought I had developed a bad case of B.O. from the way people wrinkled their nose and avoided me.Now for most people the moment of baptism into the Catholic Church would have marked the end of any further spiritual quest but I still had that mystical part of me that God had opened in my early years. I still wanted more and it didn't take long for
Realm Of The Golden Mist 1970-01-01 00:59:59 There was absolute silence in this place. I didn't know where I was but I did know I had never been here before. My vision sharpened, revealing I was suspended in what appeared to be a golden mist. From my viewpoint, which seemed to be all directions simultaneously, there was only this mist. It had a feeling of aliveness and caring though. Almost as if it was the very substance of creation.I felt a stirring near by. At first just a hint of movement. Then the mist swirled a bit and a very soft voice spoke. "You seem unusually calm and comfortable considering the suddenness of your being transported here. And I detect no fear. This is good."What I can only describe as a beautiful, sparkling being of light slowly became visible. I felt an incredible wave of peace and joy wash over me."As a result of your continued requests and your sincere desire to advance, I have been sent by the Spirit of God to be your guide. Although you have already studied much I will tell you that you have only s Read more:Golden
Creation Glimpses ~ My other blog 1970-01-01 00:59:59 I have launched a second blog called Creation
Glimpses. It will have posts about living and reacting with nature here on earth and other inhabited worlds. Messages about creation, stories, and experiences with many of God's created beings will also eventually be posted. I have the first post up now. Called "Winter Wonderland," it's about a little experience I had on the morning of this writing. I hope you enjoy it.
No Bad Hair Days 2007-03-07 04:31:00 God is so understanding and patient. That's a very fortunate thing for someone such as myself, since over the many years of my life I have managed to do so many things the wrong way. If God had "bad hair days" I probably would have been high up on His list of those to be zapped with a lightning bolt. Actually, maybe a big percentage of the human race could benefit from a slight zap. Just enough to really get their attention. Think of all those billions of people running around wildly seeking a puddle of water to sit in and extinguish their smoldering underwear. Whew! Well, anyway...God doesn't do things like that. At least He hasn't yet. God loves His creation. All of it. He gave each of us humans the free will to do as we wish. I do sometimes wonder though, when we come up with some new senseless idea or birdbrain scheme, if He doesn't ponder cutting loose with the thunder and lightening. Not only do we tend to not love God nor&nbs Read more:Bad Hair Days
The Creek Had An Attitude, Part 2 2007-03-16 03:13:00 It was a gorgeous autumn day as we turned off the main highway and on to a narrow road that held the promise of satisfying our desire to see some of the beautiful fall colors so prevalent in the Sierra. Sure enough as we rounded a curve and drove between two huge granite boulders we found ourselves in a wonderland of yellow, red, and gold leaves. It was almost as if we had entered a different world.Just a short distance ahead I saw a place where we could pull off the road and park. As we got out of the car I could hear gurgling water close by. A short walk through the riotous colored aspen grove brought us in sight of a delightful little creek tumbling along on it's way toward the valley. It seemed like one of the most perfect settings in nature I had ever found. A crystal clear stream with aspen and evergreen trees crowding it's banks while the view straight up was dominated by an electric blue sky. Looking forward to a few minutes of quiet contemplation I sat down by the creek and l
The Creek Had An Attitude, Part 1 2007-03-15 06:08:00 Over the next week or so I will be posting in several parts an experience I had involving the most important element on this Earth. That would be, of course, water. Our bodies are mostly composed of water and its presence is absolutely necessary for our continued existence.I felt the description of the experience would make a rather long single post so I decided to break it up into several easier to digest pieces...four to be specific. You will be introduced to some qualities of water you may not have known about but would do well to learn. In the final part I'll introduce you to my shaman friend who first taught me of these and many other incredible facts.
The Creek Had An Attitude, Part 3 2007-03-18 04:01:00 I could feel a vibration which got stronger as we neared the building. A sign on the front identified it as a power generating station. I parked the car and when I opened the door and got out the air was literally crackling with negativity. I could see the water gushing from an outlet at the end of the building. I walked toward the creek just downstream but had to stop short because the negativity of the water increased to the point that my consciousness was starting to fail. I was being buffeted by waves of deep unhappiness. As I staggered backward and slumped against the car I motioned for my wife to move over behind the steering wheel. I opened the door and fell into the car and asked her to get us away from there.I don't mind telling you I was shaken up. Since I was not expecting such a depth of negativity to be present in so beautiful a place I had lowered most of the shielding I usually have around me as a buffer and so my consciousness was pretty much wide open. As a result I h
The Creek Had An Attitude, Part 4 2007-03-18 22:50:00 Now there are some who will say, "For crying out loud, this is only water! What difference does it make if it's dammed up or whatever?" But you see, it's not just water...it's much more. All things are more than what you see with your physical eyes. All things in creation are alive and have consciousness...and yes, Mother Earth and all of her beings have feelings ...each in its own unique way.If we will step out of our little boxes we have built around us we will begin to see so many things we can do to help improve the quality of all life. To help heal the uncaring abuses against nature. If you will but take the effort to open up to the possibilities of the supposedly impossible you might be astounded at what you discover.Due to my study of the work of my shamanic friend, Robert Shapiro, I had previously learned about these qualities of water and this experience certainly verified his teachings. Robert has been and continues to be a wonderful source of inspiration for myself and ma
Watching Myself 2007-03-31 02:56:00 My friend Robert has referred to and written about bilocation on his blogs a number of times. The most recent being here. From this particular post of his you can, I believe, click on links to most or all of what he has taught on the subject. As I was re-reading his offerings I recalled the days past when I was first learning the techniques of achieving bilocation in a somewhat controlled manner. I had previously only been able to be in two places at the same time as a spontaneous affair. Since I wanted to concentrate on being of service to others in God's creation I needed to focus these techniques toward specific ends.My teacher for this particular technique was a wonderful spiritual lady by the name of Millie. She was well versed in all manner of things of the spirit and very "sighted." She was taking me on a guided meditation to a location she called Millie's Meadow. After some false starts, one in which I think I must have tripped over my own silver cord, I suddenly found myself a Read more:Watching
Robert's Weather Series 2007-04-02 21:18:00 This will be a rather short post but I strongly feel the need to point you in the direction of an ongoing series that Robert
Shapiro is teaching regarding the weather and movements of Mother Earth. We are currently within a time of deep change in the weather patterns of our world and although these changes have not reached a critical stage they are definitely becoming more intense. In the next few years this pattern may well become even more critical. The more we can know about various things we can do to help the transitions Mother Earth must make the easier it can be for all beings within her, upon her surface, and above her to tolerate the shift that is occurring.I urge readers to study Robert's helpful posts on "Gently Influencing The Weather." You'll find them on his blog, A Mystical Man's World.Blessings to you all.
No Doom and Gloom 2007-04-05 04:12:00 Although I have mentioned in a couple of other posts that there are going to be some changes in the next few years I want to make it plain that I am not a "DOOM and GLOOM" person. Not at all. Yes, some of the changes will be intense and may make day to day life uncomfortable, but I have absolute confidence in the human race.No matter how difficult things may get we will prevail. It's the way we are and one of the reasons we were put on this earth...to gain spiritual experience in difficult situations. We all have much to learn and learn we will. Some of us may fight the lessons tooth and nail but we will still get to the finish line. Maybe a bit tattered, but still whole. How could it be otherwise since we are all creations of God! Each and every one of us!Live life joyfully. Read more:Gloom
The Present Future Past 2007-04-09 04:45:00 So many of us constantly worry about the future. We fret continuously about what will be. Especially we fret about the bad things we think will happen. Often times by dwelling so strongly on these possibilities we generate powerful thought forms that actually create the very things that were dreaded. Yes, that really can and does happen. That seems to me like a good reason to leave the possible problems of the future be. Now I'm not saying we shouldn't have occasional goals but those shouldn't be cast in stone.Living in the future can be just as bad as living in the past. In both cases you can waste away your life dwelling on what could have been or what could be. If you make a mistake learn from it and carry on with your present life. And don't worry about what that mistake may do to your life sometime on up the road. Each present moment in your earthly existence was your future only a previous moment before. If you don't live life in the present moment much of your future can pas Read more:Present

Connecting With Mother Earth 2007-04-18 02:59:00 I don't know how many people actually try and connect with Mother Earth
. However many there are I hope that soon there will be more. Many more. Maybe a lot of us really intend to make the effort but other things seem to always demand our attention and poor Mother Earth
gets pushed aside. Recently when I connected with her I felt a deep loneliness rising from her.I try to connect physically with her every day. I use different methods. Sometimes, as I did today, I lay my hands on her surface and offer words of love and healing. I thank her for her continuing support and her tolerance of the abuses from humankind. On the days when I am unable to connect physically with her I visit her in my spirit body.Mother Earth is so vitally important to us. Let us always remember we are very intimately connected to her for our physical bodies are made from her elements. She is a beautiful lady and she deserves our honor and attention. A Wild and Future Blog 2007-04-27 22:54:00 Well...I've been thinking. Now that, in itself, can bring up some wild, spooky results. Anyway, I've been thinking that the addition of yet a third blog would solve a problem I keep banging my head into. I thought I had enough diversity in the two blogs I'm doing to handle the full range of subjects I had planned to offer. Ho-ho, Ha-ha! Not so! I'm actually finding that a lot of the things I want to write about are so diverse and far-out (or far-in) that they need a special place of their own.Remember, I've been doing spiritual seeking for a lot of years. Some of it has been pretty straightforward. Most of it, however, has been and continues to be the stuff of dreams...except that I experience it in full consciousness. So, one more blog will be forthcoming. I'm already going preliminary work on it and as soon as I put it online I'll post an announcement.I think you'll like it. Read more:Future
All Are God Realms 2007-05-01 00:13:00 A question was asked about which realms are God realms. The answer is that all realms are God realms. Even the physical world of earth is a realm of God. After all, everything in the universe is made up of God created material and is kept in existence by the very presence of the Creator in all things. Now you may think that God is supposed to be in heaven and earth certainly doesn't qualify as

Enjoying God's Presence 2007-05-06 02:26:00 What a wonderful Saturday morning! This was our monthly all day adoration of The Blessed Sacrament at my parish church and I spent well over an hour there in prayer. The Presence
was powerful indeed and I felt thoroughly blessed and re-charged by the time I left. There are countless ways to enjoy the Presence of God. The devotion mentioned above is uniquely Catholic and I really love connecting with God in the prevalent quiet, prayerful atmosphere. Most of the time there are no more than one or two worshipers present and often I am the only one, so it's just me and God. I whisper prayers of adoration, love, and thanksgiving to Him. He fills me with His love and blessings. Sometimes I weep. Other times I smile. At all times I am filled with joy. There are many ways to worship. The above is one of them. I use a number of others and I will write of them in time. I have said there is no reason that we can't all work together in our pursuit of the Divine. Getting rid of our narrow-mindednes
A Short But Powerful Prayer 2007-05-17 02:45:00 Most of us pray. Some use use only what is approved by church dogma. Many of those can be long and complicated. Others use what I call freeform prayers. They just start praying from their heart and speak words that come from their innermost being. These can be some of the most beautiful words you will ever speak or hear. There is also inner prayer where no words are spoken aloud. All of the different forms of prayer are good. Sometimes one kind seems more in order than another but really the most important thing about prayer is actually the act of praying. Intending to pray but not getting around to it just doesn't get the job done. Neither does the excuse that you just don't have the time available. C'mon folks, this concerns a dialogue with God, Who created us. Supposing He decided He didn't have the time or the inclination to sustain your life. Poof! No more you! So, no matter what kind of excuses you can think up to use, some quality time with God needs to be spent on a daily Read more:Short

A Word On The Herd 2007-05-24 22:16:00 Yep...there they go. Plodding along like a herd of cattle. Following the leader. Doing what they are told and believing what they are told is truth. Having no real interest in finding out what they may be missing by utilizing a little gumption. It is really a sad thing to see a person so completely controlled that they are not even aware there is anything else to life but the narrow little window they view their daily existence through.Whether religious, political, governmental, or cattle it makes no difference. Herds are herds.Just remember...unless you are the leader, the view within a herd never changes...and it ain't a pretty sight.
Quiet Worship 2007-06-09 17:47:00 It occurs to me that worshipping in a church equates to "formal" worship. This is good. I rather like the quiet ritual of the Catholic Mass and I participate in it often. I usually arrive 30-45 minutes early so I can have some quality quiet time with the Lord before the bulk of the parishioners begin to filter in.Occasionally, on weekdays, I also like to stop by church and just sit alone in the muted light that filters in through the stained glass windows while the loving presence of God wraps around me like a cocoon. During those quiet times I sometimes talk to God via quiet prayers of thanksgiving. Mostly, though, I sit in silent meditation and listen as God softly speaks to my heart.Often times, if someone has specifically asked me to pray for them, I'll go out into the prayer garden adjacent to the church. There, amongst the beautiful flowers and shrubbery, I'll stroll along the paths while offering up prayers of intercession. I usually finish by saying a Rosary while sitting on Read more:Quiet
Pray Joyfully And Be Happy 2007-06-28 22:23:00 Over the years I've seen so many who, when they pray, really beat themselves up verbally and low-rate their existence. They tell God they are lower than worms and awful sinners. Not deserving of any notice from Him. That they are not worthy to call upon Him. And on and on and on.Good heavens...it's no wonder God doesn't seem to answer prayers from these people. In reality, by babbling all this negative nonsense, they are denying the goodness of what God has created.God created all of us out of His goodness and love. He knows we are not perfect. That is one of the main reasons why we are living on this Earth. Here we can be molded into the shape spiritually to truly become a co-creator with Him.To do this requires attention to yielding to His divine will with the intention of becoming one with that will. Being morose and mired in the doldrums effectively locks a person out of the heritage of heaven on earth. It also plays havoc with your health.Pray in the spirit of joyfulness. Enjoy Read more:Happy
Why Complicate Things? 2007-07-14 22:51:00 Recently, a friend was telling me all about this new church he is attending. He just thinks it's wonderful. And that's good. I'm glad he is happy. But when he started explaining all the rules and doctrines I kind of zoned out.I amazes me how much effort mankind will go to in order to make the truly simple fact that God loves us into such a complicated mess. They surround worship with an array of formulas and rituals that resemble rocket science rather than spiritual joy.Whatever happened to, "Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so"?
Worship At The Temple Within 2007-07-28 15:44:00 There are numerous ways to worship our Creator. For many the high-energy, jumping up and down while screaming at the top of their lungs until they hyperventilate method seems to fill the bill. Others find more satisfaction speaking in tongues, falling down, and rolling around on the floor. And of course there is the quiet, prayerful worship which I have written about previously. All of these are ways to satisfy a desire for the public worship of God and many of us need this as a part of our life.Too many, however, try to connect with God using only these outer forms of worship. By doing so they are shortchanging their spiritual life. Properly used the outer worship can be effective in leading the seeker to the true and deeper things of God which are accessible only via the Inner Path.In each one of us there is a quiet place we can go to and connect with God in a most intimate and secret way. It is like a personal church sanctuary that resides in our heart. I call it "The Temple

The Seeker And The Poison Ivy 2007-08-09 23:08:00 The man wandered slowly along the nature trail. He gazed aimlessly at the various plant life that abounded there. It was mid-week and the park was deserted. Well, almost deserted. As he momentarily stopped by a tree to rest he noticed a stranger approaching. The man moved over to the side of the path so as not to be in the stranger's way. The stranger, however, stopped next to the man and spoke to him. After exchanging a few pleasantries the stranger pointed out to the man that he was standing very close to some poison ivy. The man looked and sure enough his hand was almost touching it. He said he hadn't hadn't noticed it and hoped he hadn't touched it because he was extremely allergic to it. The stranger said that he had always heard the best cure was to eat some of it.Now this man was a seeker on the spiritual path. Just a week ago he had read in a book that sometimes God sent an angel or a high spiritual master in the disguise of an ordinary human to those who are ready to advanc Read more:Poison

The Seeker And Discernment 2007-08-12 21:39:00 In the previous post about the man who ate the poison ivy it should be obvious he failed to use discernment before taking that action. He allowed his zeal for a higher spiritual position to completely override his common sense. Alas, when it was all said and done, the man was still a seeker...and a very ill, poison ivy rash covered one at that. This was not the first time this particular person had gone over the edge and it was not the last. In fact, one of his impulsive antics actually caused him to have to undergo some mental examinations.I never thought this guy was crazy but rather overzealous. He was never what I would call a friend but I did associate with him for awhile. His continuing lack of good judgement along with his belligerent attitude towards anyone who appeared to know more than him about the things of God prompted me to put a considerable distance between myself and the organization he was involved with.On our climb up the spiritual ladder we should always remember to
A "Now" Shift 2007-09-24 14:10:00 For a while now I've known that a change in the overall energy frequencies is very close to becoming a reality. I've even felt some very slight shifts that seemed to indicate the time was getting quite near.My shamanic friend, Robert Shapiro, has just recently posted on his Mystical Man blog some information he was privileged to receive regarding this topic and what we can expect to experience.I recommend you read his post, A Shift
Into A New Phase. Then, pass the information he shares along to others.
