The Angel and Demon Coke Commercial
2008-05-08 02:34:51
I am not very fanatic of commercials and some fancy advertisements. But this one really caught my attention. Aside from its alluring background music (praises to the artists who sang and wrote the song--Project 1; personally i really like it), it has an appealing visual effects. I like the concept. The use of an angel coming down from heaven just to search for that one beverage, which is coke, is kind of new and controversial. Anyway, it's not only the angel that went to earth, the demon too. Too bad for him, he did not totally get rid of his horns. Basing on the creativity and imagination of the director of the commercial, i will give him an applause. The product became a must-drink that even supernaturals want to taste it. Good job. However, the downside of it, it is too out-of-this worl

GetPaidToPost(SM)-Quantity OVER Quality
2008-05-08 02:34:12
A new blogger like me is still very curious of what can blogging do for me. They say blogging is good to express your thoughts and now they say that blogging is an easy way to earn. Well, I must say they are all true. Just today I saw a blog advertising this new get-paid-to-post site. I became interested and checked out the site. I signed in and right now I am doing the first post. I'm trying my luck. If ever this post is accepted, I'll receive an amount ranging from $0.25 to $2. The site offers lots of campaigns to participate in with a good pay. I would not be writing this post if the site would do no good to me. A starting rate of $0.25 per post is not a bad initial pay. Try now. You won't lose anything but a lot to gain. ;)If by chance any reader of this blog would be interested, regis

Would you BUY this ONE?
2008-05-08 02:33:36
I was astounded when i browsed the net and found out that there are really people selling concert tickets, movie passes, and even round trip tickets in some places in this world. Will really online buyers consider these products? Still, I don't think that these kinds will sell. Maybe some would grab it--if really VERY NECESSARY I suppose. I am not against those selling tickets, passes and the like. However, I see no BIG POINT of why they are selling these products which expire in a certain point in time. Like if you sell a concert ticket which will be held on a specific day, you better sell the tickets fast before the event starts or else the tickets are void. Not really a good business. And people would not be very interested on buying these stuff because people can't really assure the va

The 7 Deadly Sins vs 7 Heavenly Virtues
2008-05-08 02:32:52
The Catholic Church has set the 7 capital sins. These sins are deadly that the church considers these as severe and mortal that can destroy grace of life and create eternal damnation. It sounds scary. Truly it is. I too am scared of where these sins may lead me or us. And ignorance can't excuse us. That is why I want to inform every person about what are these and how these are done.THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS The Seven Deadly Sins is a painted rectangle with a central image of the eye of God, with Christ watching the world. The Seven Deadly Sins, depicted through scenes of worldly transgression, are arranged around the circular shape. The circular layout with god in the centre represents gods all seeing eye No sin goes unnoticed. In the corners of the image appear the "Four Last Things" mention

The New 7 Wonders of the World: Keep Voting!
2008-05-08 02:32:03
Last year, July 7, 2007, the NEW 7 WONDERS OF THE WORLD were announced in Lisbon, Portugal. It's success is now coming to repeat itself with the new set of finalists to be voted upon for the 2008 New 7 Wonders of the World . Weber, the founder of this campaign, aims to be democratic in the selection of the 7 wonders--which in this case, through online voting (i am not sure if there are other means to vote). The Philippines, according to the list of finalists, has two entries--The Tubbataha Reef and The Puerto Princesa Subteranean River National Park. The previous entry ranks 8 as of today's voting while the latter bags the 53rd spot. I, as a Filipino, campaign for these two wonders for they really encompass the truest meaning of the word WONDER.The Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National

The Forbidden Kingdom: Great Not New
2008-05-08 02:31:35
The Forbidden Kingdom is the product of the first joint project of the two legendary Martial Arts actors of this generation--Jet Li and Jackie Chan. Definitely, the two icons being together in a movie makes the film a must-see. What makes it more interesting and enticing is that the movie brings out the forte of the two legends. In Forbidden Kingdom, American teenager Jason (Michael Angarano), who is obsessed with Hong Kong cinema and Kung Fu classics, finds an antique Chinese staff in a pawn shop: the legendary stick weapon of the Chinese sage and warrior, the Monkey King (Jet Li). With the lost relic in hand, Jason unexpectedly finds himself transported back to ancient China. There, he meets the drunken kungfu master, Lu Yan (Jackie Chan); an enigmatic and skillful Silent Monk (Jet Li); an

E-commerce Security: The Threats and Defenses
2008-05-08 02:31:01
The Business World and the World of Technology are now merging towards improving the lives of the many. It is not new to us that business transactions can be done through the internet. This makes the lives of every businessman convenient while earning a lot of money. However, due to the advent of hacking, there are now risks. There’s a need for a stricter security.According to Business Link (), these are the common threats that hackers pose to e-commerce systems:• carrying out denial-of-service (DoS) attacks that stop access to authorized users of a website, so that the site is forced to offer a reduced level of service or, in some cases, ceases operation completely• gaining access to sensitive data such as price lists, catalogues and valuable intellectual property, and altering, des

The Journey Begins
2008-05-08 02:29:53
The sun was still at its rest when we arrived at the Davao International Airport. My mama, and two other siblings, Amor and Pritz, accompanied me in the airport. It was a bit funny because I brought lots of clothes. It was like I'll be away from home for two or three weeks. The feeling was all new. That was my first time to get inside an airport and be detected with their machine. Everything was so new. I savored the moment when I was about to enter the plane. But I did not look like an ignorant. Hahah. I was supposed to seat near the window. My seat number was 28F. However, a colleague did not leave the seat despite the information given by the stewardess that I own that seat. I conceded. I gave her my seat. I was a bit disappointed and regretful but what can i do, she badly wants it than

As We Traveled to Baguio
2008-05-08 02:29:30
Manila was a new place to me. It was not that amusing, but still my eyes enjoyed looking at the unfamiliar places and sceneries. We were fetched by a coaster and met the people that will guide us for the rest of the week--Kuya Macky, Kuya Mac-mac, Sir Ed and our driver, Kuya Morris (not sure of the name). The first place that I have taken picture during the travel was the baywalk. It was not the baywalk it used to be after the assumption of Mayor Lim. It has no more stores and booths and night parties as explained by the tourist guide. The travel was smooth, it was not that fast. I saw the beauty of the buildings but also witnessed the city's dirtiness. I even told myself, Davao is far better than this place. We eventually reached the NLEX tollgate. It is a private road, thus, we paid for

Self-Treat and The STARS
2008-05-08 02:28:36
After forcing myself not to cry (my favorite anime show Digimon Aventure has just ended), I urgently packed my things and went directly to DSWD. When I got there, I claimed my allowance for the educational tour courtesy of Congressman Garcia. I went to AdDu, attended my Hum1 class and after it followed my colleagues in Iron Horse to eat and listen to the orientation of the travel agency representative. It was 1:40pm when i came back to school making me almost an hour late. Thankfully, our instructor was considerate. The class was dismissed early so I went to Reyes Haircutters to have my hair fixed. :) I had a hair relax, hair spa and hair trim. After it. I went to EyeCrafter in the mall to buy new contacts. I spent almost 1,500. Then, I came back to school. We, Kring, Pael, Ate Sei and I,

Madonna Decena: A Song for her Children
2008-05-08 02:27:38
Without a doubt, Filipinos really got the talents. And we are bold enough to share these to the world. While waiting for my favorite TV show, a news caught my attention. It said there that a Filipina working in Britain is gaining fame in YouTube with her performance in a Reality Talent Show in UK called Britain's Got Talent 2008. I was curious of how was her performance; why were there so many who viewed her clip? And at this instance, I found the answer.Madonna Decena is a mother of two who left her kids to their grandmother to look for fortune in Britain. She is 32 years old and working as a club singer. I watched the video of her audition. It was funny, memorable and TOUCHING. The audience as well as the judges felt that too. She sang the piece, I will always love you of Whitney Houston

Victoria Plaza - No more into Old ADULT FILMS?
2008-05-08 02:25:55
If we have same route everyday probably you would notice this too. Victoria Plaza is known to show old adult films mostly in cinema 6. Just yesterday, as the jeepney paused to fetch a passenger, I saw this (see picture in the left). I was a bit surprised because at last the store is no longer showing those sexy films. I thought it would be just for a day but just tonight, I saw no traces of adult film board placed on their now showing structure. I'm just wondering why there was a sudden change. Was this because truly the store has been purchased by the management of SM? Or simply because the adult films are no longer marketable? Either way, I am happy as a young man that the VP management opted not to exhibit the lustful pictures of adult films anymore. I hope it would stay that way. Not t

The Smelly Front of Gaisano Mall
2008-05-08 02:25:31
"The smell is their way to get rid of the bad lucks." Taking it constructively, I am making myself believe that the smelly front of Gaisano mall is their charm. LOL. Most of the times if not always, I get the chance to be stranded in Gaisano mall jeepney stop. Usually, the jeepney going to Panacan stop in front of the mall and wait for passengers to fill in the vacant seats. I understand them but that also made me suffer for a while. The place really sucks. It is so stinky. And this smell problem has been for years already. The management has not done something to remedy this. Is not this their responsibility? They are making the customers smell that stinky road. I am never used to that smell. My friends and I usually joke around whenever we encounter that smell. We complain, who wouldn't?

And I'm Up to the SKY...
2008-04-13 12:17:05
Later today I'll be leaving Davao City, my dearest hometown, for a week. It is not quite a long time but surely I'll be missing this place, the people, my friends, my family, my home. There is a mixture of excitement and anxiety running through my system. It was a good thing sharing this to my good friends. They made me feel better. I feel excited because this will be my FIRST TIME to ride a plane and go to places in the island of Luzon. All my things are packed now and there is no more turning back. The places to visit are set, the hotels to stay in are reserved. My plane ticket is ready and my journey to Manila is about to unfold. The things to expect are out of my mind. I just want to enjoy and at the same time learn things. Basically, this is what the trip suggests--Educational Tour, t

May 12: National Transport Stike
2008-05-09 11:08:02
TRANSPORT STRIKE. Steve Ranjo, national president of the leftist transport group Piston, announces the details of the nationwide transport strike they are staging on Monday, May 12, to protest the continued increase of oil prices, which it blames on government policies.I don't blame this people. They have to voice out their sentiment. They have to fight for their right. They seek for justice. They need to start now. Or forever keep their silence. The news about oil price hike is no longer a NEWS. What's new anyway? It becomes a trend. It becomes normal. And it is NOT GOOD. As oil price goes higher, commodities do too. Now that the Philippines is experiencing a rice shortage, another is coming. What is left for the Filipinos? The poor families become poorer and poorer until they die of hung

Shy and Gerald Anderson--Lovers Before
2008-05-09 02:40:39
PBB has a new "thing" to spice up its show. Just last Sunday, the show presented the "HOUSEPLAYER NG BAYAN". She is known in TV as Shy (not her real name). She has to do what the people would ask her through voting. Now, she has won two tasks making her P20,000 richer. Her entry was so controversial that she made the girl housemates fight and the other boy housemates to get mad and be suspicious. But what makes her MORE CONTROVERSIAL was her past. Gerald Anderson , PBB Teen 3rd Big Place in the first edition, was her ex-boyfriend. Or are they really not together anymore? I have never heard this news before. Can this affect the KIMERALD tandem? Because after PBB, Shy would definitely be part of the showbiz industry. Hmmm. Why do the show keep on hiding the face of Shy? To conceal her identi

The Purple Debut
2008-05-11 09:58:56
I came the earliest and went home the latest. May 10 was the date to celebrate the 18th birthday of Sunshine May Porras. She was born on the 7th of May 1990 and due to class schedules, it was more convenient to move her celebration on May 10, Saturday night. The celebration was almost not to happen because of some family misunderstandings but thank God it was pushed through. Her cousins were really persistent. I'm happy they were. The motif is purple but I wore white. She dressed in a violet gown and a tiara on her head. She looked lovely. She was truly SHINING that night. I was so simple then. I was the unofficial turned official video man. I brought my video cam with me. And i took the coverage of the celebration. I was part of the 18 pairs, 18 roses and 18 moments/bloopers. I did not gi

Our Greatest Fear

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us. At first glance, I thought I would not like JSP. I imagined myself cursing those developers of this language asking them why they have done such a horrible deed. I really had a wrong impression with the Java Server Pages (JSP). But now, I am friends with it.According to Wikipedia, JavaServer Pages (JSP) is a Java technology that allows software developers to dynamically generate HTML, XML or other
