Comment on Getting the most out of your Adspace by Annonymous 2007-02-27 15:03:26 I don’t block ads in IE, but I do in Firefox.
I use IE most of the time, but if I go to a site with 900 popups and 5000 ads I just grab firefox. I’m sick of my browser crashing because people are money hungry. They’re making like $.01 for every 1,000 popups.. Read more:Comment

Comment on Getting the most out of your Adspace by Nan 2007-02-27 14:56:38 have developed a special sight - it simply blocks out ads - and I think most web geeks are using ad blocking software now a days. My best friends are those who aren’t trying to sell me something though - Just a though - that I might reconsider now where friends can share better ways to display their ads… Read more:Comment

Comment on Webhosting Companies by aylee 2007-02-26 22:30:08 Thank you for the tips and warnings. I’ve been through a couple of hosts, and regretted using dot5hosting. I’ll be posting about them this week. I also just recently found out about the site WebHostingUnleashed where you can post your reviews on webhosts. Read more:Comment

Keeping your visitors kept! 2007-02-28 17:56:20 One of the best ways of keeping your visitors regular is updating! Believe it or not it works! I personally tend to visit sites that are updated more frequently than others. You get more chances of comments if your updated frequently and people come back and know there will be something new next time they visit.

Making your blog more enjoyable 2007-02-27 17:03:31 There are many ways to get more visitors to your website. One of the ways is finding fun things for them on the internet. My fun factoid for you is Speed Reading. I took a speed reading quiz and my results were 944 WPM with a 82% comprehension rate. The average reader is 200 wpm with a 60% comprehension rate. SO what are you? http://www.readingsoft.com/
Don’t harass your visitors with ridiculously long blog entries. Let them pick and choose what they want and do not want to read by getting straight to the point!

Getting the most out of your Adspace 2007-02-26 19:07:46 *Please note this is for Wordpress users!*
For those of you who own a blog, or use wordpress for their content management program maximizing your advertising space is a tricky thing. Some layouts are funny if you’re using free themes or you have so many ad companies its hard without over running your site with millions of ads! There are so many great plugins for these.

Internet Moola 2007-02-25 20:31:56 It is really easy and at the same time hard to make money on the internet these days.
You can do an online job such as become a ChaCha Guide as I have done; you make as much money as you want in theory. I’m online M-F from 9am to 5pm. You get paid for doing live searches for other and training other people. You don’t receive payment for training on your own keywords but it’s brand new and you never know how things may change. Becoming a ChaCha guide is by invitation only. I was fortunate enough to have a friend who realized I wanted money and got me in. In less than 2 days I became a master I’ve gotten over 150 searches and barely been there 2 weeks. I’m aiming on becoming an Elite searcher, it is my goal. You are paid 5 dollars an hour, (and for the first 6 minutes of your search) it comes out to 50 cents per 6 minutes. It isn’t a lot but I do it while I’m at work and believe it or not it adds up quickly.

Off to the races. 2007-02-23 22:31:50 EDIT//99% I managed to figure out the problem in the layout without having to change it. I’m so happy! The person who coded the free theme added some unnecessary things into the comment page. Fortunately my detective work figured it out!
The website is 98% complete. The other two percent is the worst percent ever! I cannot fix the problem with my comments no matter how hard I try so the possibility that I did this all for nothing on this layout is very high. I love this layout the versatility of it was perfect the 3 extra columns I could do whatever my little heart desires. It will be a tragedy if I must redo it, however the show will go on.
The other 1% is extra content. I’ve been doing content like a mad woman, slacking off at work might have been a downfall but I am just so excited over this website. I am scouting out some new themes just incase, I don’t like to not have a plan!
This website is small granted, however with future visitors and your participation this
Beware of the flare 2007-02-22 21:03:38 Webhosting companies are tricky ones; a lot will try to grab your attention by offering gigs and gigs of space and bandwidth. Some are tricked by this others are not. Don’t get me wrong there are those of you who have great experiences with these companies but remember a server only has limited resources. Purchasing these plans are a great idea in theory but you also will have over-crowded servers and it will slow down your website drastically in most cases. If you need it for extra space for downloading that’s fine but if you’re running your blog on this it isn’t recommended by me.
When you go to places with dirt cheap prices you’re getting dirt cheap service. Remembering you get what you pay for is a really good idea in these types of investments. Paying 5 dollars a month for 55 GB of space and 55 GB of bandwidth sounds like a really good idea right? Most of these companies don’t offer the favored choice of cpanel, fantastico, 24/hr service, unlimited Read more:Beware

When you start your advertising campaign 2007-03-02 19:39:16 There are a lot of ways you can start your advertising campaigns and none of them involve pay per click! Like I’ve mentioned before in previous posting comment comment comment its always a good way to start!
Personally I think it is the best way for readers to know that you are there and care is to go to other sites and let them know you enjoy their site, if you’re just the almighty behind the computer whose to say you actually care about your readers?
There are great ways for you to start cheap advertising campaigns, you not only can comment, and choose the expensive route of going through advertising companies or you can join message boards, signatures etc.

LoudLaunch 2007-03-06 17:51:19 I was just approved the other day on a new program called LoudLaunch.com for my other personal site. They have this website on pending approval still. I wonder why? Maybe its because i can RIP THEM TO SHREDS!
I accepted one of their ads. All their running ads so far are you either do it for free or its $5.00 The income potential is limited. So far on loudlaunch, as well as who is purchasing the ads on here. I also have major problems logging in. I continue to login after 5 attempts I try a different login area and it does. They are both the same just one seems to hate my guts.
I accepted an adcampaign and wrote about some Russian Artists, it was a minimum 200 words. I wrote about 3 paragraphs and Followed it to a T. Their linking thing keeps deleting the direct link I send them and puts it back to my personal sites default address when they want the link to the direct post. Which is a negative on my behalf.

They are in the process of creating everything but it looks to like its going to be a great hit! They are hosted by Skye-Host

I’ve started consulting 2007-03-07 15:19:40 I have just started my consulting online for new bloggers or those who want to be bloggers. My first client is a girl named Rachel, who I met through chacha! She and I struck up a conversation and I explained to her what I do and she asked me for help. She is very much into at-home jobs, and she wanted to put into application what I teach at TBW.

Tracking where you comment 2007-03-07 15:01:41 As I’ve written about in the past, it is important to comment. Commenting gives you free publicity and raises your ratings on technorati. But it is hard to remember all the places you comment. I myself comment over 80 websites a day because I’m always searching for new things. I found this handy resource over at healthywebdesign.com Its conversation comment tracking, for if you want to start conversation on a blog these are the places to do it. I use it to track the places I’ve commented at. The websites are called cocomment.com and co.mments.com Read more:Tracking
Templates for your site 2007-03-06 21:57:34 The great thing about having wordpress is all the free templates you can find online. TBW uses one so I can show readers how great and versatile they can be. However its hard for me to find them based on the requirements I have for 3-4 columns. No one really makes 4 columns that work well and aren’t made for personal sites however but using free templates are great.

ChaCha Downtime 2007-03-07 22:39:18 For my readers here who are ChaCha
users or guides, You will notice there is a lot of downtime. From whats being said they are doing work on the servers. I personally thing someone pressed a wrong button. This is the first time I’ve experienced problems since I joined on the 2/13/07 and I’ve made over 70 dollars with them in my spare time. The downtime is now costing me money! I love to do my searches and I keep a weekly goal of how much I am going to make and now I cannot do that, as it takes me 7 minutes to return 1 result.
The forum members have not been helpful in the least about when this will be resolved and I am not happy. This is my first complaint about chacha as of yet. I had 2 people I was sponsoring as guides and both are completely turned off. This is very upsetting to me. Read more:Downtime
My first spam battle. 2007-03-09 22:49:35 So I come online today and what do I see 17 messages gleefully awaiting my approval! Isn’t it always fun to think you’re much more famous then you are? I know I enjoyed it. This was of course until it dawned on me that oh my goodness I have automatic approval on.. strange?
I go in and find 17 spam messages and more coming in! I thought this was insane so I said fine fine fine I will get a spam blocker and I have to say I did the Akismet as everyone else was making such a fuss about. I got my API since I can get the free one as I do not make $500+ a month on my blogs. Sadly I will soon though it is my goal! It blocked a total of 32 messages of spam today! I couldn’t believe it.
I am not fond of having to sign up through wordpress.com for a username. I understand their point of it. But it was painless and I got my API key within 2 minutes and to install it was painless as it was already installed. You just copy and paste and click activate and I have to say I’m
E-Starr Webhosting 2007-03-10 21:01:38 I’ve decided to write a litte expose on the company that hosts my website (E-Starr
) because it really is that good.
Their smallest shared package offers 200mb space and 8,000mb bandwidth for $5 per month (or $60/yr) and you can get a free domain with any yearly hosting purchase. If you’re looking for something with multiple accounts, their reseller packages start as low as $15 per month ($180/yr) with 1500mb space and 30,000mb bandwidth. That free domain thing goes for resellers, too.
The best thing about E-Starr is that you’re guaranteed there will be no oversold servers, like those places that give you 20GB space for $5-10 a month. That could barely make a server bill. The 24 hour service is great and you don’t have multiple people answering your tickets asking the same questions the previous techs did. You get one person who sticks with you until your issue is resolved. The phone support actually connects you to a human being as well, without having to know s Read more:Webhosting
SponsoredReviews Launches 2007-03-13 15:34:11 SponsoredReview launched! I just got my little email about it. I’m not 100% pleased with how they rate how much money you get. I personally like the style of PayPerPost better but what can I say?
I set up my other site through the process it has minimal hits because I’m still in the process of making it bigger. I was given that my ratings allow me $6.50 per post. I was like alright.
I ran the site just to see a popular website how much it would make, if ProBlogger.NET decided to accept paid postings Darren would stand to make approximately $162.50 a post. He could charge $250+ dollars per review. So if you have minimal traffic I would hold up till your alexa, technorati, yahoo etc.. are raised.
I’m in the pending approval section now and I’ll let you know whats going on if I get approved with my dismal ratings on my other website.
Speaking of Pay Per Post I’m not to pleased with Blogsvertise…
