Banned from Adsense unite!
2007-05-05 00:05:26
I am getting sick of going ton and tons of sites and seeing everyone gearing their site towards adsense, its really hard to learn new things if you’re like me and banned from adsense. I use burst. I’m very much enjoying burst, however its mainly for CPM (paying per impression) there are a few PPC and they have high payouts, but there aren’t that many so you’d be stuck with like 8 ads rotating and you wont be able to target better. The only problem with burst I’ve found is people need to fill out a survey. I hope they do more stuff like *dare I say it?* Google in the future. I am hoping to get accepted in to the Yahoo! Advertising program, hopefully I will be. The sites alexa and PR rating is good. *even better on pjmommy.com my newest venture* So everyone keep your fingers crossed. IF you noticed there are ads in different places and I’m going to explain why, it wont work with the layout. Explanation over. However it has taught me a lot of new things

My goodies!
2007-05-08 17:20:14
I have to say I have been going around the web trying to find a lot of good tips for people to read, John Chow had a good one called The Seven Habits of Highly Successful Bloggers in this he talks about picking a post frequency, and sticking to it as one of the key points. I whole heartedly agree! Even though my post frequency goes up and down depending on the time I can devote, I’ve started to post date my entries. The only problem with post dating is that spiders can index the posts that are in your drafts unfortunately. So please be careful with that. But It helps lets say you want to have a blog but you can only write once a week, well make 4 posts in a day and post date them to go live, which makes it easier for you to maintain that post level but not swarm readers with posts once a week. Put your blog into every program imaginable and something will work. I just obtained a new blog Pajama Mommy this was a semi-personal site, that had a mommy niche possibility floating arou

I’ve been tagged
2007-05-07 18:24:01
I’ve been tagged by George Manty about a meme on why I blog. I am to list 5 reasons why I blog so here it goes! 1. I enjoy it! - I enjoy blogging, I like finding things to take about on the website, I like feeling people care enough to read what I have to say. I’m a faux celebrity! 2. the money is starting to get good - I really don’t blog for the money but its nice when the money actually starts showing up right? From consulting b/c of this blog I’ve made 650 dollars. Ads I’ve made about um. $5 (because of the fact that erm lets see most of the companies sucked until I joined burst :D ) Sponsored posts. 75$ of my cut on reviewed posts. (I just got into the programs sue me!) so since owning this blog and now Pajama Mommy i’ve made $730 dollars. 3. Learning - I get to learn new things every day. I also get to the consulting, which I have to learn new ways of marketing and I love to learn. I’m thinking about going back to school and getting so

Sell Your Domain Name
2007-05-11 20:26:52
I was talking to Wendy of Emomsathome.com about her domains and she actually had them very under priced and I want to show you some free ways of getting domain names appraised. First off if you have sites with digits or hyphens this will lessen the amount of your sale. Reason being is some people forget dashes, and slang (numbers) don’t do that well, some can but normally not. Longer domain names are priced lower too, the less letters you can do the better! Dependant upon where you sell the following are very important and can help you increase your price: Google backlinks, Page Rank, Alexa Ranking, and how popular the term is for search engines and if it shows up on the first page for searching. All of these are very important factors and can raise the price by thousands if not millions! So please keep that in mind, and don’t ever feel like you are over pricing put it through Sedo at your dream price and if it doesn’t sell drop it slightly, think about it as real est

Bloggers that consult
2007-05-11 15:41:06
This article was sponsored by: SimplifyThis.com I found this article in SponsoredReviews.com, My cut of it was really small but I wanted to write about this since its a really great tool for consultants. I know I’m a consultant for blogging and websites in general, and one of the main problems I had was billing. I ended up going to the local Staples and spent 20 minutes figuring out which receipt book would best suit and cheap (since I had oh 20 dollars on me at the time) and found one that was okay but not great. It was a will do for now until I find something better. When I saw this product in sponsoredreviews.com I definitely had to check it out. Since all the other billing programs I’ve found online are for web hosting companies and don’t do well in catering to my needs and I didn’t want a full program like PeachTree or Quickbooks since its mainly for tangible products. But SimplifyThis offers a great online invoicing and payment product. Its specifically d

Update on me :)
2007-05-11 00:18:33
As you can see I’ve added a how much I’ve made per month and the total increases. The amount is how much I’ve made because or through these blogs. The total is high right now (not just from ads this includes consulting jobs I’ve taken because of TBW) So sometimes the total is higher one month then the other, I may have no consulting jobs that month :P But I try to be as accurate as possible to the penny and I keep it updated on a daily basis as I sell an ad, a review etc. Thanx to sponsoredreview.com I’ve made over 200 dollars in one week and the number keeps going up. I’ve been able to get tons of great content, I’m very picky about the ads that go on theblogworld.net since with the page rank update I can be. PJMommy I’m able to take a broader spectrum of ads because it covers tons of topics, fashion, monetizing blogs, babys, family, dinner out, friends etc. There are tons of topics that are relating to the site. So I have more options

Review: MyContentWebsite.com
2007-05-10 15:58:39
This is a sponsored review by My Content Website This site is another one that teaches you how to monetize website(s). Like mine it utilizes a free layout, which there is nothing wrong against. I’ve actual admired the layout the used for a long time its just a hard layout to make your own, I am a big fan of the designer and use a different layout of hers on another website of mine. The not in your face ads are nice, however if they are planning on optimizing their money making I would suggest at least throwing up an add between a few posts. But the overall site is nice its not too in your face they offer some good coupons and its nice over all feeling. They talk aboutpaid blogging programs which you can find information all over the web. However the only thing they missed out that is when you use a paid blogging program that tells you not to disclose, you should disclose its a sponsored by that specific company at least. You can get into major trouble if you don’t So every

Today is my birthday
2007-05-14 21:36:41
Today is my birthday, I’ve decided to take the day off. I’ve done some sponsored posts and threw up something quick on PJMommy but to me this blog is much more than quick. This blog takes time and effort and research and I don’t want to half ass a post all because I wish to give you content. So I’ve decided to take the day to myself. However as you can see the amount of money earned is going up. I’ve had a couple of new reviews purchased etc and I’m excited. My first payment from sponsored reviews happens on the 19th, so now everyone knows when to rob me. HAHA J/K However I wish it were today so that I might buy myself something nice. In efforts to really put forward everything I’ve been teaching and explaining to you my readers, I’ve done everything on the relaunch of Pajama Mommy Community It launched on the 2nd I’ve already made over 300 dollars from it. I’ve worked my butt off in the last 12 days of owning it and its pai

Credit Card Reviews
2007-05-17 22:43:01
I have to say I’ve gotten this review for both my blogs and I’m happy because this is a big thing. As everyone knows all the money I’ve been earning has been going to paying off my debt. Debt is really big thing in my world, because I have so much of it. But when I got the chance to review this site I was really happy. I love the fact that they offer so many helpful things on this site. They ordered a review and I was so excited since I found this site so informative. I have been to those websites that just list all the credit cards there are to offer and I have to say they are just crap. YourCreditNetwork.com not only has credit card offers but they have a credit card blog. The blog itself teaches you how to manage your credit what to do if there are mistakes and all sorts of things. I have to say in the world of monetizing blogs they’ve taken it to the next level. They have not only cashed in on the referrals for getting people to sign up for credit cards but

Partnerships
2007-05-17 20:52:34
I’ve been attempting to gather partnerships sites for Pajama Mommy Community I don’t know fully what partnerships do but hey I’ll make up my own rules! Who said you can’t right? Well I’ve been looking and emailing places I contacted for example IBakeSale.com emailed them and gave them my proposal Partner Link Swap Link on a PR 6 blog thats in the top 100K in Alexa with over 3000 hits a day 1 Bake sale highlighted a week Custom Message board section on the MB or just a small topic on the board Banner ad into rotation (once installed) Future partnerships with the sub-branches of the site once they are up and running. I admitted that this is all brand new to me and the fact that the site is picking up quickly and expanding even quicker is also new and as am I so I don’t really know how to partner so if I’m missing something please let me know. Be honest but not stupid. Don’t allow someone to walk all over you. After speaking to them at leng

Networking Mistakes & Tips
2007-05-16 16:39:02
I have noticed a lot of people attempting to network more and more lately. I’ve been listening to my podcasts and trying to learn all sorts of new things and “Amanda-ize” them but it is very hard, however one thing that everyone needs to learn is proper networking. Big mistakes with networking I’ve found and get annoyed with when people network with me. Do not IM me for the sake of getting a hit to your site. Don’t im anyone for that matter if thats the only reason, networking means brainstorming becoming friends and truly networking. You don’t sit there im someone say hi I own this oh I have to run. If you don’t have time to dedicate to networking wait till you do. It is the biggest pet peeve of mine when someone im’s me and they don’t know who I am. Which leads me to #2 Do your research! Don’t ask who they are, don’t forget their names etc. You im someone you need to make the effort. Don’t ask for a link exchan

Review Site Dollars
2007-05-18 21:27:43
As you know I’m always trying to teach people not only how to make money but a lot of people have been asking me about passive income. Now I’m personally would love to make money from passive income. (Those who don’t know what passive income means, it means a site that generates money on its own without needing updating.) I’ve come across a site that does teach you that as well. Its a program that costs a one time fee of $97 called Review Site Dollars the best part is when you call the 800 number there is only one option to speak to someone by pressing one. Its the owner Steven Glazer. The site not only does most of the work for you all you have to do is sign up for the affiliate program and it generates the page for you. And even if you don’t sign up hell you can make money just from their affiliate system. So its two ways to earn income.
