Customize your towns with more than 30 luxury items and upgrades while staking your claim in Westward II: Heroes of the Frontier!   Westward II is a typical time-management strategy game. Madonna - Hard Candy
2008-04-22 10:12:27
Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars Dominance isn’t just a fetish for Madonna , it’s her religion. It’s no accident that she opened each show on 2005’s Confessions on a Dance Floor tour by clenching a riding crop in her hand, jerking a gagged male dancer around by a leather leash. And she never puts down the whip: Since 1986’s True Blue, Madonna has claimed writing or production credits on every one of her songs, even when she worked with dance-music artists such as William Orbit, Mirwais Ahmadzaï and Stuart Price. So itís surprising that her eleventh studio album — her final one for longtime label Warner Bros. — is an act of submission. For Hard Candy , Madonna’s midlife meditation on her own relevance, she lets top-shelf producers make her their plaything.

AVG Anti-Virus Pro 8.0.87
2008-04-22 09:59:30
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars The combination of a wide range of features – including some nice innovations – with much improved design and usability, stability, unexceptionable system impact and highly impressive detection, seems like a winning one, and I expect to see AVG continuing to go from strength to strength with this release. (from Virus Bulletin)   Anti-Virus programs, they are essential and most likely you are using one now too. So why use AVG? First of all: AVG provides a free scanner for the common user which is more than great. Second, and for myself a very important factor: AVG is gentle with your system resources. While eg Norton can make your computer extremely slow from time to time, AVG is running nicely at the background. Please do remind that every anti-v

Snoop Dog - Ego Trippin’
2008-04-21 14:25:56
Rating: 3 out of 5 stars Snoop Dogg’s ninth album is perhaps his most progressive one to date. It not only features a vintage ’80s sound complete with old-school synths and vocoders, but also finds D-O-double G pulling triple duty as rapper, singer (!) and one-third of production team QDT. The Shawty Redd-produced “Sensual Seduction” is already a big hit that finds the 36-year-old harmonizing about being “a freak” and “playing in the sheets,” while “Cool” reflects on his fame and posh lifestyle, both via a talkbox. But there’s a refreshing sincerity to cuts like the nostalgic “Can’t Say Goodbye” (”You can’t take the hood out the homeboy,” he instructs) and an ode to his wife, “All Ar

The Bank Job
2008-04-21 12:11:39
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars In September 1971, thieves tunnelled into the vault of a bank in London’s Baker Street and looted safe deposit boxes of cash and jewellery worth millions and millions of pounds. None of it was recovered. Nobody was ever arrested. The robbery made headlines for a few days and then disappeared. The Result of a UK government ‘D’-notice, gagging the press. This film reveals what was hidden in those boxes. The story involves murder, corruption and a sex scandal with linksto the royal family. A story in which the thieves were the most innocent people involved.   Once again Jason Statham prooves he is someone to remember. The Bank Job is an excellent piece of British cinema. The story is great, and it’ll keep you entertained from

Gnarls Barkley - The Odd Couple
2008-04-18 13:51:03
Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars When Danger Mouse and Cee-Lo strike a pose together as Gnarls Barkley , they’ll dress up as anything from Star Wars characters to the Dude and Walter from The Big Lebowski. But their greatest costume concept has to be Hunter S. Thompson and his attorney, because that captures the fear and loathing in their music. “Crazy” seemed jovial on the surface, which is why it became the world’s favorite song in 2006. But the longer you listened, the creepier it felt — especially Cee-Lo’s cackle in the second verse. The Odd Couple is even doomier — it’s like the laugh from “Crazy” stretched out into a whole album of paranoid bad weed vibes. Thanks to Danger Mouse, the album has the always unpredictable sonic brilliance of t

Foo Fighters - Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace
2008-04-17 14:13:23
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars This is an anthology of strong new songs by a great bunch of bands, all calling themselves Foo Fighters . You get the speed-of-light Foos in “The Pretender,” the glam-candy Fighters in “Long Road to Ruin,” the Southern-rock stompers who butt in with “Summers End” and the goth folkies on “Stranger Things Have Happened.” Singer-guitarist and ex-Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl used to spread this variety across whole albums — the one-man power pop of 1995’s Foo Fighters ; the real-band slam of ’97’s The Colour and the Shape; the unplugged CD in the 2005 set In Your Honor. He has finally figured out how to make one record out of all that leeway. There are bumps — “Stranger Things” isn

But Lyra’s greatest adventure would begin closer to home, the day she heard hushed talk of an extraordinary particle. Microscopic in size, the magical dust- found only in the vast Artic expanse of the North -was rumored to possess profound properties that could unite whole universes. But there were those who feared the particle and would stop at nothing to destroy it. Catapulted into the heart of a terrible struggle, Lyra was forced to seek aid from clans, gyptians, and formidable armored bears. Untraceable
2008-04-16 13:00:43
Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars A secret service agent, Jennifer Marsh, gets caught in a very personal and deadly cat-and-mouse game with a serial killer who knows that people (being what they are - both curious and drawn to the dark side of things) will log onto an “untraceable” website where he conducts violent and painful murders LIVE on the net. The more people who log on and enter the website, the quicker and more violently the victim dies.   It feels original, but it’s not. It feels realistic, but it’s not. It’s more of a decent recycler of the better crime movies avaiable. Still, the performances and camerawork are great. And if you go with the flow, you will not be disappointed. One more suggestion: this movie is not for the faint-hearted, an

27 Dresses
2008-04-14 11:34:17
Rating: 3 out of 5 stars After serving as a bridesmaid 27 times, a young woman wrestles with the idea of standing by her sister’s side as her sibling marries the man she’s secretly in love with.   I’m always sceptic with movies that advertise ‘From the makers of’. In this case even more sceptic cause it advertises ‘From the screenwriter of’. 27 Dresses is certainly not bad, but far from ‘The Devil Wears Prada’-level. It’s a great movie to have a romantic evening with your partner: a dinner, a bottle of wine, candlelight, and 27 Dresses. The single male viewers really should pass this one. Get a better browser!

Death Sentence
2008-04-13 12:04:31
Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars Nick Hume is a mild-mannered executive with a perfect life, until one gruesome night he witnesses something that changes him forever. Transformed by grief, Hume eventually comes to the disturbing conclusion that no length is too great when protecting his family.   Death Sentence is a 2007 film loosely based on the 1975 novel by Brian Garfield. The film is directed by Saw director James Wan, and stars Kevin Bacon as Nick Hume, a man who becomes a vengeful vigilante killer after his son is murdered by a gang as an initiation ritual. This movie is far from a masterpiece, but still very enjoyable for those who love a good action movie. Sometimes completely over the top but that is what John Goodman is good at. Mariah Carey - E=Mc²
2008-04-12 12:45:01
Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars She’s proclaimed emancipation before, but Mariah Carey ’s never sounded as free as she does on her 10th album. The usual hummable radio hip-hop and bold ballads are here, in pristine form. (”Bye Bye,” a memorial for a lost loved one, is particularly effective.) But so are some coy surprises, like the irresistible “I’m That Chick” (which covertly samples “Off the Wall” for an early Michael Jackson disco bounce) and the Swizz Beatz-produced “O.O.C.,” which is catchy enough to make that the vernacular’s standard abbreviation for “out of control.” Carey even digs deep and pulls up “Side Effects,” a Scott Storch-produced, dark hip-hop track that follows a passive woman’

One Missed Call
2008-04-11 09:24:59
Rating: 3 out of 5 stars In this remake of the Japanese horror film “Chakushin Ari” (2003), several people start receiving voice-mails from their future selves — messages which include the date, time, and some of the details of their deaths.   What The Ring started as a hype, One Missed Call is one of the last spasms. Remaking the original Japanese horror movies always tend to be a box office success but rarely gets the same “classic” status. The Japanese are just better in making these weird but original movies. One Missed Call will give you a pleasure-full evening, here and there even a scary moment but not as shocking as the original one. Get a better browser!

Moby - Last Night
2008-04-10 11:27:14
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Moby stated that this album is “a lot more dance-oriented and electronic than my last few albums, probably as a result of all of the DJ’ing I’ve been doing lately”. Last Night is basically a love letter to dance music in New York City. What I love about the New York approach to dance music is the eclecticism and the open minded-ness on the part of the musicians, the DJ’s, and the people in the bars and clubs. In making Last Night, I essentially tried to take a long 8 hour night out in New York City and condense it into a 65 minute long album.   Last Night is Moby’s ninth studio album and was released on 31 March 2008 in the United Kingdom and 1 April 2008 in the USA. It’s the follow up of Hotel and a lot bett

Told from the point of view of their video camera, the film is a document of their attempt to survive the most surreal, horrifying event of their lives.   The first movie released in 2008 that grossed over $100 million also grossed a lot of positive critics.
