A Job - Befitting 2007-06-12 02:10:00 Greetings all good friends & and those I dont know just - yet!My first day on the job was...well...F*A*N*T*A*S*T*I*C... Not to put too finer point on it, but I already feel as though I am settled...Interacting with the (sick) elderly just makes my job so much more rewarding...Quite often I see patients in hospitals - alone! And I often wonder if they have anyone at all, come visit them. Laying in bed staring at four walls can be quite depressing for anyone, any age! So I really enjoyed the lengthy conversations I had today with a couple of the patients on my ward. Although I may not be helping them (directly) to get well, I do hope it means as much to them as it does me, to have some human contact during their ordeal. To give a little kindness comes at no cost but can be very enriching for the recipient.So a big thumbs up to my new role & I hope in the months to come I can continue to find it rewarding beyond the pay packet at the end of the week.Love & Kisses All

A Weekend at Shaney's 2007-06-23 15:26:00 I have been a bit slack lately catching up on movies, so last night I watched "Blood Diamond"with Leonardo Di Caprio, Djimon Hounsou & Jennifer Connelly. The story is brilliant & sheds some light on the price people are willing to go, to get what they want, at all costs. If you don't like bloodshed/gore it may not appeal to you, as there are some gruesome scenes, yet they do add to the credibility of the story. So if, like me, you are yet to see it.
