Myspace & hi5 2007-03-20 23:57:00 I joined hi5 last week and Myspace today. On Hi5 I caught up with some people I haven't seen in a few years and it was fun tracking some of them down. If you're connected to a friend then he or she is also connected to their friends and you can take a look to see if you know the people on your friend's list. Found someone you know? Great! You can add them as a friend and get connected. For more info click on the links above. The best part for me last week was finding my best friend from elementary school. I haven't seen him since 1993 when he left the country. I've googled, yahooed, and people searched his name over the years but always came back empty. So Hi5 has a search option and I thought why not? Couldn't hurt to try. So after browsing through like 40+ profiles I found one that matched up. I didn't recognise his pic but his birthday is the day after mine. I sent a message and patiently waited for a reply. BINGO! It was him! :)Since then we've exchanged e-mail addresses a
Autism & Austic Kids 2007-03-29 22:05:00 As you guys know I rarely get to watch TV but I do watch sometimes and I was tuned into CNN. Larry King was going to do a show on Autism
. This is something that is not taught in medical school. I've heard the term Autism and Autistic kids but I didn't know much about it so I watched the show when it aired. I was educated, touched and inspired by the guests in the show. To the parents of autistic kids: You are all heroes. Guests included celebrities such as Bill Cosby, Toni Braxton, and Gary Cole. Here's a link to the transcript of the show.Larry King Live - Autism transcriptNow what is Autism? Skywards 2007-04-15 10:36:00 Shuvo Novoborsho! (Bengali Happy New Year!) Yes people I'm back in Bangladesh and I'm burning up in the heat & humidity.I came back on Emirates again but before I left Ny I got my skywards membership card from Emirates (Their frequent flyer miles program). I got upgraded to buisness class from dubai to bdesh. Let me tell you. Buisness class rocks! Aside from the great seats and leg room I got awesome service. The space waitress knew my name. The headphones have added noise reduction. Even the apple juice tasted better! I should've applied earlier for skywards membership but I didn't know there were so many added benefits. Right now I'm a blue card member but I think I'll be a silver card member soon. Yeah, more added perks!
Casino Royale 2007-04-17 10:14:00 I went to see CasinoRoyale
and I was very disappointed with the 007 flick. I mean sure it's early in his career and all but they spent way too much time playing cards. The plot itself was confusing because of all the twists and turns. And the whole James Bond torture session was a bit ludicrous. Read more:Casino Royale
The Bangladesh Cell Phone Hoax 2007-04-20 11:04:00 So check this.I come back from a long day of studying to the dorm and there's this rumor flying around that 2 people died and another was incoherent in a med school in the Chittagong district of Bangladesh
because they received a phone call from an unknown number. How? One rumor said the mobile or cell phone exploded upon receiving the call. The second rumor was that upon receiving the phone call a strange sound was heard in the speaker and this caused bradycardia ( decreased heart rate ) and led to cardiac arrest and death. When I initially heard the rumor I thought it was just restricted to my campus but then I started receiving calls from other districts in Bangladesh asking if I had heard the rumor or whether it was true. Other students were being called by their respective family member warning them not to receive any unknown calls. Well I thought the rumor was ridiculous and something that might be found in a science fiction novel or a horror movie. But a lot of people in Bangla Read more:Cell Phone

Osama Bin Laden is Back 2007-09-13 02:40:00 So we haven't seen Osama
Bin Laden since 2004.In the new video he's colored and shortened his beard. He's wearing the same thing he was wearing in the 2004 video and same back ground. Does this suggest he's still in the same location?Instead of threats this time, He's inviting people to EMBRACE islam????? Kinda late for that isn't it? http://www.alternet.org/mediaculture/62416/?page=1

Cyclone Sidr 2007-11-19 04:58:00 As you guys know that Bangladesh was hit by Cyclone Sidr. I was in Dhaka at the time. I really didn't take much note of it. I just thought it was just another storm. In fact I was watching movies through the whole thing while the wind was howling.I got up the next morning and there wasn't any electricity. I called some friends and checked the news through my cell. Most of the country was without electricity. We didn't have electricity for 24 hours straight. During the evening I lit some candles and wondered how people passed there time when there was no electricity, TV, Video games, and computers. So far the death toll is 3200 and it could rise as far as 15, 000News 1News 2Help is on the way but its coming very slowly. The government doesn't know how many people were affected nor do they know all the places that were affected. Getting to these people is yet another challenge.
