Marathon day
2008-04-13 05:53:00
Went and watched the Runners start the Marathon today, (Good luck to all who are running.) The race is still being run at the moment and the rain  has just started falling down. There's something nice about running in the Rain, it keeps your body at a good temperature which makes it generally easier to push on.

Not posted for a while!

Well, it’s the first week back in London after a lovely time in Ireland last week. God, who would have thought that 2 places could be so different? On the one hand, you’ve got London with more races than brans hatch seas in a year, then there’s all the rude fuckers who constantly barge past you (read my previous rant about this one!) And on the other, you’ve got Ireland, where everyone is friendly, no-one pushes past you all the time (well, there’s probably the odd one) but it’s nothing like the great toilet otherwise known as England.

The Cellar people
2008-04-30 21:36:00
Well, what kind of people live in Austria? There was the  disturbing case of Natasha Kampusch back in 2006-7 and now there's the horrific case of Joseph   Fritzl who kept his Daughter prisoner in a Cellar for 24 years, fathering her 7 children.        r/28/austria.internationalcrime2   I mean, just how fucked up is that Country? Also, how the hell did he get away with it for so long? one has to consider that if you've got at least 4 people living down there, at some point there were Babies, how did he ever manage to get things like Clothes, Food and Nappies down there? also, how did this ever manage to go un-noticed for 24 years?   This bloke has to be an extremely disturbed individual to inflict such pain and suffering an

up in the middle of the night again;
2008-04-30 21:18:00
As this post suggests, I'm wide awake in the middle of the night again, thanks to my Cat; There I was in a lovely sleep until I heard a bloody great bang on the Bedroom window which nearly sent me to an early grave. I moved the blind to see what the hell was going on and there's me bleeden cat sitting there shouting cause he wants to come in, When's he going to work out that night is for sleeping.

I thought Black Cats were supposed to be lucky?
2008-05-11 15:07:00
Well it’s yet another of those old Wives tales told to many a person while incapacitated on Vodka or what ever comes to hand, but I had always been under the impression that Black Cats were supposed to be lucky ? If they are, it should be revised to; ‘All black Cats are lucky accept Felix’ So far, he’s managed to get the shit beaten out of him by practically every other Cat in the neighbourhood, Had brushes with Foxes and now there’s the latest where he came over our Fence and decided to rip his Belly on a plank of wood which had come away from the fence and was sticking out rather dangerously. Oh well mate, by my reckoning your probably down to 6 lives and your only bloody 10 months old.

A day on the River.
2008-05-11 11:45:00
What a perfect Summer day for a Sail on the River .   We woke at around 9 AM this morning and after a quick Cup of Tea headed off to the 2Sail project which takes place on Thursdays and Sundays at Surry Quays Docks. The Club is designed to enable both Disabled and non-Disabled (if that’s the correct saying to use) to sail together.   After 2 Buss’s and a short walk we arrived at the Docks to meet everyone as usual.   Today was a BBQ and sail day so there were slightly more people there than usual. We had some Coffee/Tea and mingled with the people for a while, some of them I had spoken to before, others I had not.   Kelly and myself did not manage to get into the Boats in the morning as we arrived slightly later than everyone else, (Oh well, bette

Gardens in the summer
2008-05-14 16:01:00
I can only think of one draw back to gardens in the Summer and that’s without a doubt Weeds! How the hell do these things manage to grow faster, more wide spread than general garden plants? God, I really didn’t realise how utterly overgrown my Garden was until today, I think I will have to get some Gardening program in to fix it, there’s no bloody way I could ever tackle that

Are the times changing?
2008-05-14 15:58:00
Well, it looks like it's onwards and upwards for me then.   I recently decided to apply for a Guide dog as i've recently moved and I thought I should finally move away from the Caine and to a Dog for travel.  Today a Lady from GDA visited me and went over various forms with me, had a bit of a chat about owning a Dog in general and it's on from there really.  I know a c

What's happened to Orange?
2008-07-10 14:57:00
Not sure if it's only me who is noticing the rapid decline of Orange Customer services? I joined Orange back in the late 90s when they were top of there game(Wildfire for the blind) etc and was extremely happy for a good few years, but have recently started to notice there 'we don't give a shit larlarlar' attitude to customers.

New phone
2008-08-17 15:04:00
Well, I reckon that’s got to be a record even for me! I got a new phone a couple of weeks ago and by Friday, it was utterly fucked thanks to a nokia firmware update which kind of went tits up. The phone is a Nokia N82, which  I have to say I am impressed with. Built in GPS, comes with Nokia maps which although isn’t the most accessible program I have used, I really can’

Wicked time sailing
2008-08-17 14:59:00
Haven’t posted for a while, so thought it was about time I did! Went sailing again today as haven’t been for a couple of weeks.    The weather was good sailing weather, a bit of sun for the tarts among us who like to catch a few rays while on the water.  The wind was pretty cool as well, if a bit unpredictable some times. It made good sailing though, the boat tipping, having
