I caught her snooping in one of my traincases today exploring some makeup and thought it was too cute so I taped it and thought it would be cute to share what her top picks are! Check it out below:
REVIEW : Nix'ie Cosmetics Mineral Eyeshadows 2008-04-24 08:22:00 Yesterday, I came home and received a wonderful thing in the mail....makeup! I love coming home to makeup, especially when its unexpected. Ahh...the perfect way to end the day! When I opened the mysterious box I discovered the most beautiful palette from Nix'ie Cosmetics
. It was a 6-well eyeshadow palette containing some gorgeous shades, perfect for the spring. Nix'ie Cosmetics is a makeup line based out of California that is starting to catch the attention of many. I have read several reviews about their products and I have honestly yet to read anything bad, so this means that I was thrilled to start experimenting and playing with the palette so that I could experience what the hype was all about. First, I must start off by saying that these shadows are huge in size! The eyeshadow pans

This is soooo much better than M.A.C PRO!!! 2008-04-23 12:02:00 Hey dolls! Look at what came for me in the mail today! My Make Up Forever Backstage Discount Card!!! Yay!!! This baby entitles me to a 40% off all MUFE (Make Up For Ever) products at the MUFE Boutique here in NYC or through phone orders. I am super stoked because I love this line even more than M.A.C., and its super expensive so the 40% definitely helps out! Yippee! For those of you who are unfamiliar with Make Up For Ever, it is a French cosmetic line which is simply astonishing. In my opinion the quality is superior to that of M.A.C. and as far as pigmentation, they seriously have the BEST shadows on the planet. They even make cosmetics for synchronized swimmers! Make Up For Ever was established in 1984 by Dany Sanz and Jacques Waneph (two very renowned MUA's); and now the company is pa Read more:better

M.A.C. Dress Camp Recap 2008-04-19 11:56:00 This collection has made M.A.C. history! The Dress Camp collection became the most anticipated makeup collection not only in the history of M.A.C. but cosmetic history PERIOD! Never have I seen something so exclusive and so limited and I am very lucky and fortunate to have been a part of that.I must say that out of all 2008 collections for M.A.C. I definitely was excited to hear about this particular launch, but never did I think it would receive the attention that it did; simply because Dress Camp is a designer clothing collection from Japan that not too many people know or have heard about in the states. It's definitely not as popular or as known as let's say...Heatherette; and in that note I DEFINITELY expected wayyy more out of the Heatherette collection than what I did of Dress Camp; Read more:Recap

FOTD : Milani Wild Violets 2008-04-18 06:55:00 Here is a look that I did with the Milani Eyeshadow Quad in Wild Violets. This is a very pretty quad with awesome pigmentation and this look is great on dark eyes. You can purchase this quad at a drugstore for about 5 bucks.I mainly used the two colors on the left side of the quad, and added M.A.C.'s Nylon as a highlighter to the brow bone. In addition I lined my lids with a purple eyeliner pencil (don't remember the brand), and added my Lancome Fatale mascara and was good to go.On my face I used M.A.C. Prep + Prime as my primer, M.A.C. Full Coverage Foundation in C40, Studio Fix in NC 35, and Chanel's Blush in Mocha. For my lips I used M.A.C.'s Lollipop Loving from the Heatherette collection and topped it off with Nars Lipgloss in Turkish Delight.See the images below for clarification on
DRESS CAMP!!! 2008-04-17 13:30:00 I was one of the fortunate few to get my hands on this entire collection! I was able to call MAC Soho earlier this week and put my stash on reserve! I am in love with these colors and love the packaging. I will be doing an official review of the product soon! This collection launched on the M.A.C. website on Tuesday morning and sold out in 6 hours! I went to M.A.C. Soho today, and arrived before they opened. By the time they opened the doors to the public everything was already SOLD OUT! The response was so insane that they didn't even bother putting a point of purchase display out on a counter. I spoke to one of the managers and she said that never in her M.A.C. years had she seen such a crazy response to such a exclusively limited collection. According to her, people started calling yest

Crappy Economy...The Perfect Excuse to Splurge on Lipstick! 2008-05-05 10:15:00 There was a story in last week's New York Times about how the sales of lipstick—not gloss—are an economic indicator and how, in tough times, women in this country turn not only to just smaller indulgences to quell their retail fix, but specifically lipstick. Now, I have heard this many times before but for some reason I just always felt that it was some sad mockery made by men to justify women's spending habits during turmoil. But after reading this article, perhaps there is some truth to the "economic crisis/lipstick boom" theory. I know for a fact that I myself have probably bought way more lipstick this year than in the past, and probably have made more cosmetic purchases than clothing purchases as well. Hmmm...According to the article, you will be buying lipstick for three reasons: Read more:Crappy

FOTD : Nix'ie Cosmetics Watermelon Eyes 2008-05-06 07:56:00 So here is a quick face of the day that I did yesterday while playing with my Nix'ie mineral shadows, which I LOVE sooo much, see my review here. Believe it or not my inspiration for this wasn't an actual watermelon. Actually, it was an old bottle of Maybelline Great Lash mascara that I was about to throw out! I apologize that the tutorial picks aren't as detailed in showing every step as I normally do; but this was just started out as a quick experiment that actually came out pretty nice and helped me kill some time last night as I waited for The Hills (I freakin' love that show!!!) to come on TV.Below is what I used:FACEM.A.C. Five Scents to Obsess Over 2008-05-07 13:52:00 I received the following email from one of my readers:Q:Hi Roselyn, I love your blog but noticed that you have not yet reviewed any perfumes or body sprays yet. I am looking to ask my parents for a perfume for my upcoming birthday but I do not know where to start. Currently I use scented lotions from Philosophy and The Body Shop. Can you please recommend some good scents? Thanks, Brea (Great Britain)A: I'm actually glad to have received this question, because I think its a very important one to address. First I want to say that a lot of perfumes on the market are much more than just their scent. I say this because, what may smell good on someone else, may not smell the same on you. Everyone has different hormonal balances and depending on the scent's formula, the reaction between your ski

Back On Track!!! 2008-05-09 12:04:00 I FINALLY got an answer from blogger. Apparently the blogroll widget incurred a bug and thats what shut my blog down. But I'm back! Yay!However, take this as an official announcement that I will be working on my very own website which will be launching soon. Blogger is cool but still very much an experimental thing and for someone like me who is taking this blog more than serious, I don't really have the patience or time for their screw ups and mishaps. So soon enough you will see this blog take it mainstream as a full fledged site! It will become every definition of GLAM!!!Thanks for being loyal! XOXO!Rozzie Read more:Track
Still problems with Blogger.... 2008-05-09 10:39:00 Hey everyone,Just wanted to update you all and let you know that there are still some major issues going on with Blogger
. As you see I still haven't been able to restore my template, and since I have had to restore back to the classic html settings (aka old blogger), alot of my features have been disabled. I will be taking the weekend to work on trying to come up with my own solution to this problem since Google has not given me or any of the other users with this same issue any type of answer. So this means that by Monday I may have switched blog platforms, or who knows...maybe I might even have a full blown website up?! You'll just have to keep checking back and see.Take care and have a fab weekend!xoxo,Roselyn Read more:problems

REVIEW: OPI Nic's Sticks from Nicole by OPI (Shake, Plump, Paint!) 2008-05-15 10:21:00 We all know that manicured hands are just as important as groomed hair and brushed teeth. But I must admit that I am a victim of paid manicures as opposed to self-made. I just cant get it right for some reason! I always create a mess, end up with smudges and ridges and never have that "manicured" look. So I just head over to my nail salon and pay for the service...plus I think that the hand massag Read more:Shake
