All In 2008-04-11 21:09:01 I recently have been listening to and reading many short stories by many famous unheard of to me authors. I have been amazed by these stories. How you can read one and you feel as though you just heard some fictional characters life story in a matter of reading a short story. I recently had a burst of creativity and wrote one. It is titled All In.All In "Come on six!" Landon said, as he sat next to me. "Twenty one... twenty one." "This is a big one I have got to get this." "Give me a break." I say. "Who has the Armani suit?" "James." Said Miss Donna. "Do you have your term paper or not?" "Do you think you can sleep through life, never the less Harvard?"I open my sleepy eyes. "Have a nice job after dropping out of Harvard. I don't think so." "Give me a break lady." I say dazed. I look ba
Chicago's Science and Industry Museum's Big Blunder 2008-04-07 17:38:58 Yesterday I went with my family to The Science
and Industry Museum
in Chicago
, IL. I was very impressed by the whole museum, from the Cine max, surround movie theater to the what I thought was great Net world exhibit about the Internet, computer history and the lingo that goes with it. This museum really stressed Global warming and the environment with a little exhibit on it and various texts about it distributed but, at the 3d movie theater we noticed that they were throwing out the 3d glasses. I know you might be thinking that it is not a big deal, but it is, all of the pounds of 3d glasses that were thrown away could be saved by using plastic glasses or by just not throwing them away and giving it to the next group. This was a forty-five minute movie. Think of all of the glasses th
Introduction to Snap Shots 2008-04-05 12:33:21 Introducing Snap Shots from Snap.com I just installed a nice little tool on this site called Snap Shots that enhances links with visual previews of the destination site, interactive excerpts of Wikipedia articles, MySpace profiles, IMDb profiles and Amazon products, display inline videos, RSS, MP3s, photos, stock charts and more.Sometimes Snap Shots bring you the information you need, without your having to leave the site, while other times it lets you "look ahead," before deciding if you want to follow a link or not. Should you decide this is not for you, just click the Options icon in the upper right corner of the Snap Shot and opt-out. Read more:Introduction
Earth Hour 2008 2008-03-29 22:36:14 I definitely had a good Earth
Hour. After I got home from dinner with my grandma I cam home and I got out my cell phone and I went out going door to door reminding my neighbors about Earth Hour. Most were fairly interested in it. Partially because it is eight at night and a middle schooler is going door to door in the brisk coolness of a Chicago suburb night with shorts and a sweatshirt on. Some however were not interested and that is so nonsensical to me. The fact that a middle schooler rings your door bell for a reminder of Earth Hour and you don't even show an interest in it really blows my mind. One thing that was actually kind of funny was when people like my dad said well I just want the TV on to watch basketball or other things. Like a kid answered the door and was very happy
The Political Science of Global Warming in the Current Administration 2008-03-27 20:51:49 An introduction to George Bush and global warming. More on the political science of science.Lawyers are scientists in the twenty first century. A scary start in the first eight years.Bush, Will Ferrell on global warming is fictional obviously but it shows absolutely how corrupt the political science of global warming is.This is are answer as I have said before in my previous post. Barack Hussein Obama is our answer and should be the next President of the United States of America. These videos I have watched really have showed me that some people think global warming and climate change are still in debate. In reality they are but as far as science goes it is scientific data as Will would say it. If only are country could get our heads out of the pollution that we are creating and these peop Read more:Science

Bill Jasper, Senior Editor of The New American magazine, on Global Warming 2008-03-27 19:57:10 This was said March 21, 2008.I cannot believe this guy. He has nothing to show as fact. He is the biggest conservative and just as demographics go seniors care less about the environment. These are the "scientists" that are screwing up this whole movement, on whether or not it is a problem. Not what we can do about it. He says that people who are not scientists are saying that climate change is real. He is not a scientist and is delaying the process for the rest of us. He disgusts me and says he is a scientist. I would like to see what he is doing in twenty years. Not laughing at us...I don't think our thermometers are off. Read more:Global

The "I Have A Dream" Speech of the 21st Century and More 2008-03-22 13:35:39 Come to your own conclusion about Barack Obama's "A More Perfect Union" but I think it is a response to Martin Luther Kings famous call to arms of race in America and the world. Both speeches are about race and both of them talk about African Americans but they also talk about the making the world a better place. From King's dream to Obama's call for change in the United States in not just race but in overall welfare of the citizens of America; of democracy. I have not read what the media thinks about this issue and I do not want to hear it. I feel this way because the media can only make the speech worse in my mind because I believe that this is a turning point in politics and democracy. A presidential candidate calling out Washington and everything bad that it stands for in lobbyists Read more:Dream

The Legion of Bloggers 2008-03-16 17:29:23 One blog is worse than 10 blogs put together, which in most cases is fact because the more content the better. But what I think would be a great group is a lot of smaller blogs grouped together as one. Whether you are a WordPress blog, LiveJournal blog, or Blogger blog or any other profit or non for profit blog. Because if my blogs feeble readership clicks on a link to another blog and that blog links to another blog. Than my blog has just created two visitors to two other blogs, and that can obviously go the other way. Well enough said, in reality if we as bloggers can team up we can create readership for others. I am not considering trying to undermine newspapers, one because I love newspapers and two because that is our future of paid journalism for us bloggers who grow up out of a b Read more:Legion
Being an Online Climate Activist 2008-03-16 17:15:04 Over the past month I have been listening to podcasts and iTunes U lectures. From those mediums in which I have listened to I have found websites that from your computer you can contribute to the cause. I have sent emails to Representatives in my district and Senators from my state about climate change and global warming. I have donated to the cause of Stop Global Warming.org by searching on good search. In that website as well I joined an online march which has grown to a lofty. There have been one underlying meaning of what I have been doing, it is that from your computer in your underwear you can change the world. By influencing the people who make the decisions, which if you have not heard of the step it up 07 story you would not know the half of it. Because a few people who Read more:Climate

Fun Holiday Season 2008-02-21 20:16:24 This year I finally realized that Christmas is about Christ, that is why it is the first morpheme in the word itself. A few years ago and through out Elementary school and Sixth and Seventh grades I was longing for one big present whether it was my Gameboy, or ihome. That is what i thought about the whole week and season. This year first of all I am a year more maturer and we started reading that book Soup for the soul (or something like that) Christmas Edition. I thought the stories were very moving changed my prospective on Christmas entirely. Read more:Holiday

On Exploration 2008-02-21 20:15:02 Today, I was watching a very good program by the name of The Universe. This particular episode was on on the perplexing topic of dark matter. I enjoyed the program very much. But what I realized is that are civilization is still ancient; we have not mapped the universe. My kids kids kids (supposing our civilization lives that long) will probably be thinking of my generation as ancient. Think of all of the space we have in space and it is growing at a very fast rate. More stars, more planets and, more chances of life as the universe expands. Think about it when the pirates roamed the sea the map was not filled out. The people did not know what existed in those blank spaces. They did not know what was in them as well they found new people of different color, new animals, plants and d Read more:Exploration
The Dummy Environmentalist( Lets get a plan) 2008-04-19 10:43:36 You don't have to be a science geek to know how to cut down on energy and conserve gas. You shouldn't have to explain to a resisting peer about how I care so much about our home. Some people don't realize that Earth is not our open sewer to dump whatever we want to in to it. It is not our trash can, our exhaust duct, etc. etc. up until now we have only seen the environment pay back for all of the misdoings that we have done; through Katrina, the deaths from the recent heat strokes of the past, the looming of the rising sea level, and the massive wildfires that have cost so much to the states in the US that have had them. Many millions and billions of dollars have been lost in these unfortunate events of nature giving us "a what for," for all of the money we have made through all of the Read more:Dummy
Candidate Spotlights 2008-04-20 16:58:29 Over the course of my next few posts I will go over the history of the three remaining( as I am writing this post) which are Barack Obama, Hilliary Rodham Clinton, and John McCain. For Election 2008, I will try to keep out my opinion until going after each candidate still in contention. I know for sure that each candidate listed above have had very exciting lives and have made many decisions that have changed their lives. I believe that if we know them and how they have lived their lives that might hopefully make it easier to figure out what they will do in the future as President. Because scary enough one of those three candidates will be the President of the United States. I know it would be scary for the readers to think that your favorite may not be elected. I would love to have som Read more:Candidate

HYmini: Small Product, Big Vision 2008-04-24 19:15:11 The HYmini products are very small and cheap because of it. I think that these products are going to be the forerunners to future models of this type and purpose. Looking at the picture I see the future of micro green techniques. One product is a wind powered charger for putting on any moving object to make the propellers move or just leave it out, if your area is windy. You run with it, bike using the adaptors (that came be bought for an additional charge) and generate electricity through the propellers spinning. I love the capabilities of this hand held device that I could strap on to my bike or car and then after I am done, it could charge my iPod, done... just like that. I do not need to use my iHome and wait until the morning and use electricity that is free after you buy this Read more:Small
Reflect What We Think About Climate Change George W. Bush and others 2008-04-25 17:29:36 We all around the world I think are starting to catch the idea that the little things that we do each day in conservation of all things is great. Whether you are turning off your lights or whatever you are doing maybe motivated by my post The Dummy Environmentalist( Lets get a plan) with all of the little things you can do. But I feel that we are doing all of this without support by our current Administration , because I feel that they are not representing us. They should because since Earth Day it seams like green fever is in the air. People are talking and so are businesses. The government is not representing what are views are. In "Democracy" we are a country that has leaders in all areas that should represent the peoples best interests. They are not doing this! It also is no Read more:Climate

The Silly One Seater: Myers Motors 2008-04-28 07:24:53 This silly looking car is has as vibrant as colors get for a car. With performance from a car that you can drive 1,000 Miles for $20 of electric fuel and being able to cruise in your three wheeler at 75 MPH. So no performance is wasted and a driver has said "I could spend four to eight times the money for a sports car and no one would give me the reception they do when they see my NmG (No more gas). So its also an attention grabber, exactly what you need to show off your green sense to the world. It is a moving citizen advertisement for the climate change movement. On the Myers
Motor's website they say "Just say no" to gas and "sending money to support non-democratic regimes who fund activities aimed at undermining the American freedom we enjoy." On average this all electric Read more:Silly

Can Green Momentum Continue? 2008-04-28 20:00:37 I really hope the answer is "yes, of course why would we say that it is obviously the way to go." But all things considered I don't think that we have ever had such a green movement going that matches the present. Earth Day and Earth Hour and since Earth Day I have really felt the push, the drive of people wanting to be green and do well for the environment. But as I have said before I do not think that our Democratically based government is acting like one. As The Inconvenient Truce theme song said 'Cause I need to move, I need to wake up I need to change, I need to shake up I need to speak out , somethings got to break up I've been asleep and I need to wake up now' Is the best lyrics that show what we need to do. Because something has to break and I want that to be the Gas Companies an Read more:Green

We Can Solve it! Really 2008-05-01 19:37:55 Al Gore and politicians can finally agree on one thing... climate. But are politicians and others really going to motivate the general public, so that we together can get through the thick skinned Congress? I really hope so, because even the worst emitters can claim to be green "green wash" as Al Gore said it. And the same goes for politicians. We can do all of the good stuff, but we need the doers to do something about it; to act what we act. As I have said countless times before. What Al Gore is doing is something that no other green organization has tried. That is to mainstreamify as our favorite verbifying Texan would say. He is putting We Can Solve
the Climate Crisis on the map. Because not everybody is as aware of climate change as we think. Many do not know what is good for the
Peak Oil Shock: How soon? 2008-05-07 20:08:56 All is quiet at gas stations as prices are soaring. We are so extremely dependent on the Middle East's oil that they could send us into a depression (I did not say recession) by cutting us off. But they need our money and we need the oil. No questions asked. But, unfortunately like everything good. It will end or peak. People think that the last drop of oil will result in pandemonium, riots, all that. But that is far to late because far before that time will ever come battles will be fought at oil refineries and hopefully the huge gas prices will spur a kind of alternative energy boom. Like everybody hopes will happen and I think it will. Oil and food are very scary resources because every human who wants a better living will want more of it. More humans means more food already and Read more:Shock
